but episodes are very weak compared to s1 episodes.
You do realize we are only 2 episodes into S2, right? It would've made sense if S2 was finished as well. I'm sorry, but you have no case whatsoever. I agree ep 1 could have been a little better, but your argument for ep 2 saying there is only a 2 point difference on metacritic between the 2 season it's for the birds.
The vanilla ending made everything feel so pointless. Through the entire series they continuously beat it into your head that you can't control the reapers, even up to the scene before the last scene, and then bam it's suddenly an option to control the reapers. That was enough to make me hate it. The whole deal with building the crucible, it just all felt so utterly pointless and as if every ounce of lore up to that point was just tossed aside to make the endings viable. 0/10.
I blame the guy who leaked the original ending. And EA. ALWAYS blame EA. If EA was not so greedy then maybe Bioware might have had enough time to make a satisfying ending.
Well , s1e2 had more, better puzzles than "pick the key, insert the key into red button" and it had more tough decisions. It's also a lot longer than s2e2 and it had "hubs" while s2e2 didn't had any

Getting worse? Wasn't A House Divided scored pretty highly? If it wasn't for MetroGameCentral, whom mind you.... are easily the worst internet reviewers around and especially hate everything related to Telltale and they annoyingly only started reviewing Season Two more frequently. The two times they reviewed Season One episodes they gave them the lowest scores on the average. If they didn't review A House Divided the episode would've been the highest rated Episode of The Walking Dead to date. Plus we all have an episode we don't like as much. All That Remains is that exception. Having played ALL of Telltale's previous works I can confirm that All That Remains is NOT the worst episode they've ever made. Heck far from it.
And just because they have a different writer doesn't mean the episodes will get worse. And what's wrong with someone having been a former moderator? Does being a moderator restrain you from having any future career in the gaming industry? Simple answer, no. It's fucking stupid to think otherwise.
And Sean and Jake had an idea of the story arc of Season Two before they left. Telltale have a general idea of the entire story arc. The individual writers of Episodes write the dialogue and the events that transpire.
Nope, I think that, aside from the 'Deus Ex Makenny', episode 2 was better than episode 1.
It was unarguably longer as well, so I don't see why length is one of your points.
Lol highest rated episode i don't think so. The Escapist , EuroGamer, AusGamers,IncGamers gave it 7/10 . Sean and Jake had an idea of story arc before they left ? How do you know that?

This was an amazing episode
But I agree that they should make better use of puzzles, it's difficult to say because they do intend this game to be easy and just story oriented with interactions but it is a point in click adventure after all. I know that telltale games could make great puzzles if they wanted to or at least collaborate to make good ones, got done playing hector a month ago and the puzzles were pretty great.
The writing on this episode was great it had the element of surprise it had more character development. I think that maybe the less engaging conversations are a bit intentional? I think maybe because the writers actually want us to be a bit more suspicious of the cabin group, to be a bit more worried about Kenny's situation, to be a bit more worried about how truly Carver and his actions could be and what this means for the future of Clem and the other survivors.
It's built hype but also works great while standing by itself. Pretty great episode in my humble opinion.

And actually no, I'm right. Go ahead, check yourself. The primary reason the episode is getting lower ratings is because there's now more reviewers REVIEWING The Walking Dead since it's now a bigger thing. As a journalist myself, I can vouch for this being 100% true. You can check yourself. More reviewers = More overlycritical nuts who expect it to look and play like The Last of Us.
And of course they had an idea of the story arc. Do you SERIOUSLY think they wrote Season One with the intent that they would have no clue as with what to do with the second Season? The fact that for one, it was foreshadowed throughout Season One and the fact that Sean was one of the co-writers of 400 Days (which was written for the sole purpose as a pre-Season Two storyline).
Writers of episodes write individual episodes. The entire story arc has already been planned out, and the fact that two writers have left Telltale is a sad thing doesn't mean that they're doomed. They're called TELLTALE. They expertise in storytelling first, it's irratating that annoying newbies such as yourself who only joined the club at TWD think that Sean and Jake were the only good writers there. They've been doing this long before you even knew what Telltale was.

I lost all interest in season 2 in the first episode and didn't care if they all died. Season 2 is garbage that has ruined everything that made the first season great. Clem died when they decided to put her in a pointless sequel that has no direction and created a world that's so unrealistic and poorly written I don't see her or Kenny as the same characters. They don't act like real people at all so it's hard to relate to them. They have screwed up Clementine's character just as bad with the crappy writing. It's like a low budget talentless director making a sequel to a great film they don't understand. Kenny's fate was written to let the player decide what happened. It wasn't meant to have right or wrong opinion. It is obvious as to why Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin left telltale when they did. Season 2 has destroyed the realism of every character in such an extreme manner it is unplayable to me. The realism between the characters is what made season one great and it is gone entirely in season 2. You can immediately tell the game is being written by someone else and doesn't feel anything like the first 5 episodes. The season already ruined the realism of the characters by making the adults treat a preteen girl like she's an adult. It's stupid and makes all the adults unlikeable.
Clementine is still a little kid and it's, weird and abusive treating her like an adult, and making her do dangerous things jobs that are suppose to show respect but just show an irresponsible piece of shit adult putting a kid in danger. The way adults talk to Clem like she's no different than them is so ridiculous it has ruined what made season one good. They talk about letting her walk off alone into the woods like it's normal a normal conversation between adult friends. It makes every adult unlikeable pieces of shit because that's what you are if treat a little kid like that. A real man would take care of a kid the way Lee did, but they seem to have decided that Clem is has been magically traumatized into a preteen adult. It's ridiculous and has ruined the game for a lot of fans. It just feels like she's being abused by a bunch of scumbag adults while they try to force you to believe it's realistic and normal. Everything about it is weird and unnatural. It makes every adult unlikeable because they don't see her as a child. They act like it's wrong to treat her like a the preteen girl she is after magically getting traumatized into an adult since season one by some untalented writer who didn't create the first season.
The relationships in season one felt realistic, but season 2 lost that aspect. The adults come off as uncaring scumbags and cowards because that's exactly what they are written as. I don't want them treating her like an adult because she isn't one. There is nothing realistic in how they interact with her, and there isn't anything normal or likeable about a man telling a little girl to do something dangerous, or a women verbally abusing her and talking about being pregnant by someone other than her husband. Adults don't talk to preteens about things like that and they never have and they never will in the real world.
They make it seem wrong if a man feels he should take care of a little kid and protect them. That's what Lee did, and taking care of the kids is what a real man does. It's sounds so weird and unnatural. Lee acted like a man and people could relate to him and regardless of his past because of his actions and emotions. A man sacrificing for a child is something people understand and respect. A man putting a small preteen girl in danger to kill a walker isn't easy to understand because it's stupid and wrong. Now they are going to have Kenny go completely out of character and treat her in an abusive manner like it's the same as saying something to Lee. Kenny never treated Clem bad and talks about caring about her throughout the first season. If Lee and Kenny talked to Clem and Duck like they talk to each other they wouldn't have been likeable and the game wouldn't have been game of the year. It would have been abusive and it still is.
Now they have Kenny showing up in this piece of crap which is stupid. I felt like Lee and Kenny were as close as brothers at the end of season one, but his story was suppose to end there. The story should have never continued unless Vanaman wanted to continue it and had control over it. in season one saying things he might have said to Lee as if it's the same. Now they have Kenny yelling at Clementine in an abusive way like she's an adult even though he was around her for months when she was acting like regular little kid and he would still see her as kid the she is. The one thing they make clear about Kenny in season one is that despite his faults he cares about kids. It's stupid to make him treat her bad when it contradicts his character. He never treated Duck or Clem bad and talks never says anything bad about them. He treated them like kids and I don't want to play a game where he's contradicts that and has him abusing Clem when he cared about her.
Their stupid idea of making a preteen Clem an adult just doesn't work because it's impossible and stupid. This unrealistic approach might be okay for some, but it's ruined the game for many. I see her as the little kid she that she is and that view can't change. I made decisions in the game the based on what I thought would be best for and wouldn't just do things to keep her happy if I didn't think they were in her best interest. I never saw her being able to live without an adult to take care of her because she just seemed like a regular little kid. Everyone has different views that you can't just change, but they just made her an independent adult and took to an extreme. There is a huge amount of middle ground they could have used to show Clementine mature and gain more independence in a more realistic way. The first thing I thought when the adults start treating her like shit and locking her in a shed is that Lee and Kenny would have stepped up and took control of the situation even if they had never seen her before because they did feel it was their duty to take care of kids first. Now I guess they have decided to make Kenny completely contradict his character, but it's okay now that Clem is an adult even though she was playing with Duck and licking salt licks like a regular kid a year before.
These weird cartoonish characters are impossible to relate to. No one wants to hear a man complaining and acting like a baby to a preteen girl because It's pathetic. The story should have ended in season one where it was obviously written to end; especially if you can't get the creators of the original and let them do it however they want. Season 2 is joke of the year. There's nothing normal or realistic about the ridiculous way adults talk to her and ruined the game for a lot of people. Season 2 is a joke with that strange and unnatural dialog. It's obvious why Vanaman left the company to get his name away from this crap.
You've only played two episodes with him as lead writer, one of which was brilliant This series is clearly going for a proper story arc, unlike the first Season's couple of episodes which were much more contained stories until the latter half.
Why you hate A House Divided is even puzzling. You seem to just dislike it because of the writer. If it was anyone else you'd probably love it.
Deal with it, just because you don't like Nick's writing is no reason to go on calling him a bad writer.
Please, name one situation were she was put in danger. Also note that she WANTS to be more independent: the fact that they trust her enough to do these things you should be GRATEFUL for!
Now they are going to have Kenny go completely out of character and treat her in an abusive manner like it's the same as saying something to Lee.
I don't know whose ass you pulled that out of, but you should put it back right now.

The Walking Dead is all about showing how people react when what we know of as western society breaks down. Children being treated like adults actually happens in real life now quite often in areas with a lot of violence. In many places, children are free to join resistance movements or, in some cases, even official government military, and adults don't think twice about sending those children into war to possibly get killed. As the zombie apocalypse moves on in the universe of The Walking Dead, many people's sense of morality begins to start slipping away. Some people just handle the situation better than others, just as some people in real life handle the situation in war-torn countries better than others, and some people in both situations eventually just give up on any standard of morality and just subscribe to the kill or be killed mentality (and eventually start to think like Chuck felt in season one, there are no men or women or girls or boys, just those who are alive and those who aren't).

Wow you're point of view towards the game is completely out of order, isn't it? First of all, let me say, I respect it of course but you should see it in another perspective.
Let's be honest, did you pay any attention to the story line of season 1? I have played it 5 times, I think, to understand the stories, emotions and decisions better.
Lee started to look out for Clementine since they found each other at her house. In every situation he looked out for her and tried to protect her as best he could. He was against the idea to learn her how to shoot. On the train Chuck explained to Lee that Clementine must be able to protect herself in a world like that. In a world where danger and the possibility to end up death is high. In a world like that you can't leave her undefended. What if something happens to one of her guardians? Scavengers are also there to rob and murder you for a piece of bread. It's unthinkable in our world, society and moral standing. But not in a world like that where you must be able to survive. Is it abusive then? In a way yes. But it keeps her alive.

Season two is awesome! The first season's choices meant nothing. Season 1 is my favourite game and all but I've played it half a dozen times and the decisions don't affect the story, only how people view you. Telltale said that there would be more story branching in season 2. Already with the ending of s2 e2 we can see that our decisions might actually affect the story. I like that.

in that point i must agree with you
For me A house Divided is the best episode so far in both seasons so the answer is no.
I actually thougt, that A House Divided was one of the best episodes
Excuse me, but this is the start of a new season. Things will get better in time. If you don't like the way things go, don't play the game.
I didn't say only Jake and Sean are good writers. There are good writers out there but Nick Breckon isn't one of them
this episode was a hell ride, so many feelings of fear, confidence etc.
best episode

No.
Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot that an entire first episode had to be better than the climatic last episodes of the pervious season.
The hubs and the puzzles were a joke! All it did was make the game seem longer, otherwise they were rendered useless.
you do not give up, do you ?

Please, name one situation were she was put in danger. Also note that she WANTS to be more independent: the fact that they trust her enough to do these things you should be GRATEFUL for!
