  • actually no episode 1 was 1:30 and i saw video called walking dead season 2 episode 2 full playtrough and it lasted 1:36 and thats with all the intro and outro parts of the video

For most people, going by youtube playthrouighs, it was generally half an hour longer.

  • Just because you saw one video that was short, it doesn't mean that the playthroughs are 'generally' that length.

  • What's wrong specifically with Nick Breckon as a writer?

Lol i wouldn't be surprised if they added something like this in ep5 considering Nick breckon is writing , they probably will.

  • Have we seen the chocies affect the story more?

I mean ,sure, different people can be dead, but that didn't change the story much with Doug/Carley.

In episode one, our final choice had no bearing on the eventual story.

In fact, I can't think of one choice which has had a big impact on the story yet.

Season two is awesome! The first season's choices meant nothing. Season 1 is my favourite game and all but I've played it half a dozen times

  • Yeah i agree

Why such an inexperienced writer writing season finale? Like wtf are you thinking telltale? (NickBreckon) Him writing ep1/ep2 was alright I guess but writing a season finale ?? No thank you

I think he's writing all episodes this season.

  • No. He said that Shorette is going to write next ep.

I think it is a legitimate concern. Not that this guy is doing anything but bash S2. But yeah, I have my doubts.

Too short it's obvious. Not only playing time but the weight of the story...is...kinda empty and not so much impressive.

  • Thank you ! I respect your opinion when you express it in a respectful way.

  • My mistake, I assumed that he's writing everything since he wrote ep.1-2 and now the finale.

No. He said that Shorette is going to write next ep.

  • What are you going on about now? -_-

  • That "inexperienced" writer wrote a house divided which was arguably the best episode of the series yet

  • So...didn't you like " a house divided " or what's your fucking problem? I don't get it!

In my opinion he did a great job so far!

  • Maybe , i didn't play much of TWAU

He wrote Faith for TWAU, and I thought it was pretty good.

  • In my opinion he did a bad job and he is going to fuck up the finale which is going to terrible

  • Starved For Help was much better , then again Nick Breckon didn't wrote that now did he ?

  • I think the story is way more focused than S1's, and that it can be a good thing. However I also think that it's the characters that are a little lacking this time around. I've got almost no complaints about Luke and Nick, but the rest are still kind of just there.

There are some places where it makes sense to ask her to do things. Climbing the ladder is somewhat arguable but not terribly bad, and telling her to kill a walker that's at her eye level (I did exactly what Luke said - I felt it would be highly out of character for Clem to complain in that situation) is comprehensible. And the way Christa treated her makes a great much sense, for the few parts of it we did see.

Other parts, though, you're right- these people really are assholes. Alvin's grotesquely useless, especially if you never knock on his window in Episode 1. Nick's just incompetence personified. (Fortunately, they're both determinants. No prizes for guessing what I determined.) Rebecca takes a massive 180 in personality. Pete and Walter were good guys, but this series hates good guys and they inevitably get killed.

I'm just going to take this series at face value- this preteen girl really is more competent than most of the adults surrounding her.

Gettingworse, please don't shove your opinions at us like this. You seem to have a simple loathe for Nick and Season Two for the sole reasons of actually causing a war. Having a personal opinion is fine, but to shove it in our faces by exclaiming "Starved for Help was much better" etc, etc is annoying. Don't like Season Two? Fine, no need to push everyone down into your depressing little overly-critical pit of sour disgust. Not every episode can be made to perfection, people will always not like a particular episode for going one route or another. Example? There was quite a number of users who were hoping the ITYWD character was NOT going to be Kenny. While I myself am not one of them I can see why people would be annoyed. But while your criticisms hold certain merit (lack of puzzles) the length one I disagree with. A House Divided was one of the longest Episodes Telltale has actually made in over a year (almost 2 years). No engaging conversations? What classifies as engaging for you? The conversation with Walter was one of the most intense scenes I've ever seen of the entire TWD franchise and finally... your complaint over Nick Breckon for being a former moderator on a forum. What EXACTLY is wrong with that? You're implying that it's wrong for people to end up getting jobs in the gaming industry simply because they were moderators on a video game forum?

Starved For Help was much better , then again Nick Breckon didn't wrote that now did he ?

  • How bout you let your personal hatred aside bs quit trying to bash nick
It's one thing to state your opinion it's another to constantly shove it down our throats

In fact, Jake Rodkin actually started out as a moderator on Lucasforums (and as a writer at The International House of Mojo, then Adventure Gamers, and then he co-founded Idle Thumbs, which is currently co-hosted by Sean Vanaman and Chris Remo, who are both now at Campo Santo with Jake Rodkin, and Nick Breckon). Everyone has to start somewhere.

  • (I don't really know if what I said was that insulting to be honest, I was just being direct with the insults he was throwing at one of Telltale's own writers. It would be rather foolish to think that if you're a moderator of a forum, you can't get a job in writing. He was basically shunning me down too.)

And wow, I didn't actually know that Jake was a moderator for Lucasforums. The video game website RoosterTeeth also got a majority of their staff from their community. The more recent ones anyway. Heck I remember talking to Ray before he became something on there.
