Do You Guys Read Any Books?
And I don't mean comic books or graphic novels, I mean actual books?
Me: I don't normally read unless it's for school, but every once in a while, I'll come across some that I really enjoy. Here's a few:
Of Mice and Men
The Great Gatsby
The Outsiders
Son of the Mob
The Harry Potter series
The Percy Jackson series
The Red Pyramid
Lord of the Flies
The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series if that counts. (Guilty pleasure. Don't judge)

I mostly read nonfiction, particularly medieval and Greco-Roman history, but I did recently read a pretty good fiction series called The Riyria Revelations.
I don't like to read, really.
Even though I was a straight A student in school, I still didn't like to read.
And I've NEVER been a comic book reader.
I think the only book I've ever enjoyed reading is the Bible.
Particularly Genesis, Exodus, and the Gospel of John.

Jkjk, I've had to read the Bible for school, couldn't do it, (too much ___ begat ___ who begat ____) but if I remember correctly I liked the Book of Job. I don't know, I really like tragic heros. Actually, it isn't even tragic heros, it's people who suffer for their convictions thanklessly (btw, recommended reading: Fear and Trembling by Soren Kierkegaard. It's a Christian Existentialist interpretation of the parable of Abraham and Isaac)

Right now, I'm reading a book called Savage Wars of Peace. It's about the little know wars fought by the US and the lessons we need to learn from them. Very interesting so far. For instance, did anyone here know that the US fought in Guatemala back in the 30's? I sure as fuck didn't!
I've read all the Harry Potters and Hunger games books. With school I read Of mice and men, Holes, Private peaceful and Heroes (surprisingly all pretty good).

I read Harry Potter, Guardians of GaHoole, and Pokemon when I was a kid.
Right now I like fantasy books. Here are books I've read, The Belgariad, and Malloreon series. Castings Trilogy, Game Of Thrones series, Sword of Shannara, Maze Runner series, Seven Realms series, Lord Of The Rings, Rangers Apprentice, The Mortal Instruments, A Wrinkle In Time, Hunger Games books, and The Fault In Our Stars(OMG FEELS)

I'm reading Harry Potter! It's fucking awesome. I'm on Goblet of Fire right now.
I've read the Divergent series, they were pretty good, but I did not expect what happened at the end to happen. Probably the best part of the series.

Not really, only in school when the teacher forces you too. I've read Mice of Men, I watched the movie version of it too. I prefer the movie version mainly because I CBA reading.

Psalms 23, that one stands out to me.
That's a very nice chapter.
Psalms chapter 37, is one of my favorites.
One verse I particularly like is Psalms 37:11, which states: "But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." ( King James Version.)
Ah, I like that one too.
My favorites are Moses, David, the apostle Paul, and Jesus Christ.
When you read what Jesus taught, and how he lived his life, it was truly amazing.
No wonder why Pontius Pilate said: "Behold, the Man!"
Yes, Jesus was truly " The Man."
Moses not only lead the Israelites, a people over a million strong, out of Egypt, but then lead them through the desert for 40 years.
Noah, built an ark, that was estimated to be over 400 ft long, about 70ft long, and about 40ft high.
Noah and his family did this, being only 8 people, and all they had to work with was hand-tools.
Such a huge project, with only 8 people with hand-tools working at it, must've taken decades to complete.
Trivia note: I remember reading that Noah coated the wood inside and out with tar.
I often wondered why he did that.
Sometime ago, I was in Florida, and I got the chance to talk to an old ship builder.
He explained to me why Noah did that.
He said: "By coating both sides of the wood with hot tar, after it seeps into all the canvasses and cools and hardens, it becomes so strong, that it's like you literally epoxied the the ark together."
Basically Noah's ark was pretty much indestructible.

I don't mind the Bible. My favourites would be Job and Ecclesiastes. Very philosophical.
