Nah, if you watch the actual video closely you'll see that the captain falcon recovers right at the end. In fact you can see it in the gif right when it says game.
Been taking some screenshots while playing through the Handsome Collection and thought this one was kinda funny. I went into the inventory/pause menu while the Handsome Jack double was punching me, and it kinda looks like he's trying to aggressively hug me or something. :P

I was standing inside him as claptrap, but, oh god, I stopped playing the game for half an hour laughing at that image.
Another thing her dad does is in one of the DLC missions, Marcy's dad sends Mercs to kill Gaige and her dad sabotages their ship. The mercs fall out of the ship and die horribly while hitting the ground.

I agree - it's like the only time he'd be actually justified in referring to a player as Kiddo!
