  • Considering some of you have already mentioned your favorite movies, what are your least favorite movies? What are the movies that you absolutely despise?

Mine would be either The Last Airbender or Project X.

  • A movie I can't remember the name of where the bad guy was a spring. Or home.

  • Oh, don't get my wrong, I loved the henchmen! Mainly the one that would consistently question the leader. I didn't find the boxtrolls' shenanigans to be very funny. Then again, it has been a few months since I saw it. It's not really fresh in my memory so I might be remembering it wrong.

I liked Underworld to an extent. It was pretty interesting, all in all. And I should probably watch Blade. I know who he is and all, but I've never seen the movies.

Think it was meant to be more of a drama than a comedy (since you brought up the jokes). The humor mainly had to do with the two henchman wh

  • Okay, okay, this isn't a movie, but they're making a Scream TV series. I liked all the previous movies and have just watched a sneak peek for the new series coming out. It seems interesting enough. I'm also going to leave the sneak peek here for anyone who is interested.

  • Good thing you saw this thread then. :)

I like the second one a lot more than the first. To be fair, the movie did deserve some of its criticism but I will say it's worth at least one viewing. So if you have the chance, check it out.

And I prefer Garfield over Maguire any day.

Wait, why would they reboot something that has already been rebooted? I've only seen the first Amazing Spiderman, and I thought it was ac

  • Definitely American History X. Brutal as hell, but it exceeds in every single way possible. Not for the faint of heart, though. I warned you!

Does anyone have a favorite movie of theirs they'd like to share? If you couldn't tell from my avatar, mines is Taxi Driver.

  • Oh man that movie! I've seen the curb stomp scene on Youtube and thought: HOLY SHIT! when I saw it. Edward Norton is an awesome actor. :)

  • Yeah. It was...unpleasant.

  • Far out, I just caught this one on Netflix a few months back. It has some, uhhhh, steamy love scenes, but the interesting thing was how real they seemed, instead of the usual adult cheese.

But that aside... :) Three hours is long, but it's a different sort of viewing experience because it's doesn't follow a three-act Hollywood structure, making sure there's a car chase on page 15, etc. Scenes are longer so we get to know the characters better. I recall a dinner party scene going on for something like 15 minutes, and it was just people eating and talking. Not boring though...learning more about the characters.

The main actress is awesome. Her finale scene in the bar (not spoiling it) showed some quality dramatic skills.

I highly recommend this movie. It's the only three hour movie I can think of where I was compelled all the way through.

  • It probably was made with 5 bucks.

  • I also love both of these films and I highly recommend them.

Alt text Didn't like the first that much, loved the second and despite what people say, I liked the third too.

    Alt textPretty interesting movie.

  • Yo SaltLick you remembered me Expandables III again. Remember that I said I hated it, but a few days ago I watched it again and it seemed good. No Expandables II but it's fun as hell. I should have stopped complaining and start enjoying it.

  • The Rock has been heavily rumored but I don't think anyone's confirmed it yet, Hogan said he's in and so has Pierce Brosnan (he's the guy who played James Bond for a few movies starting with Goldeneye) the only thing is that it might not be untill 2019 till it gets released cause some of the actors are busy.

  • It's probably not gonna be 2016 unless they start working on it right NOW since it seems like all they're doing is slight casting and yeah, he does want it to be rated R since he thinks that because it wasn't rated R, it's part of why people didn't go and see the third.

Alt text Mel Gibson actually did a great job of portraying Colonel Moore and in my opinion it's the best war movie ever, watch it and you'll understand.

Alt text Gotta love Pulp Fiction.

Alt text Old boy (old version and remake, gotta love that twist though :P, it's pretty interesting)

Jurassic Park is a classic and a fav of mine Alt text

Then there's both volumes of Kill Bill, those are pretty fun to watch Alt text

Alt text amazing film about a family separated from the end of the Vietnam war.

Alt text can't forget Monty Python

And one classic I find over rated is the Godfather, I guess this is a good start :P

Lol. What are some classic movies that stand out to you?

  • Pulp Fiction and Monty Python! Fuck yea, awesome choices dude.

I don't consider Oldboy a classic now because it's still pretty modern. Well not the 2013 one.

That reminds me, I need to review Oldboy (2003)!
