But in all seriousness - agreed. FO4 is good, but sadly I feel it's lost that special flavor the previous games had, in an attempt to make it more... idk, 'spectacular'? The atmosphere just isn't the same for me. The way I see it, it's focusing more on 'Big Flashy Heroic Deeds' than on 'Wow The World Is Fucked Up'.
im pissed off that you cant live in vault 111! i was hoping to make a nice life down dere, coming to tthe surface to forage for food and such every week, and picking flowers too place by my wifes frozen body
I ordered it with the Minutemen, funny though, when I had the choice to bring Shaun back I told him to stay, but then I got the message saying Preston hated that, so then I felt kinda bad and decided to take him with me, but apparently Preston was still mad because I didnt get a "liked that" after changing my mind ;-;
I'm gonna post before I get some rest, so I can check tomorrow.
I am trying to find a suitable place to store items until I own a place in Fallout New Vegas. Is Ringo's Gas Station in Goodsprings good without my stuff disappearing or nah?
EDIT: Nvm, had to take the risk and find out myself. ):/ Well at least I have a place to store my shit now!
Fallout 3: Dogmeat, but that's because of the Broken Steel bug that makes him invincible, everyone else dies in one hit from an albino radscorpion.
Fallout NV: Boone + ED-E, it lets you make perception a dump stat and generally just boomheadshots everything for you. Don't use if you want to do anything yourself.
Fallout 4: Nick Valentine for dialog and, well, he's just cool. X6-88 for overall capability and eye candy factor.
Don't know if this has been discussed but who's your favorite follower? Mine:
Fallout 3: Charon
Fallout New Vegas: Boone
Fallout 4: Strong
Overall: Boone (the stoic sniper ftw)

Just finished the main storyline. I sided purely with the Minutemen in the end. I did nothing for the railroad but give them the chip, and only helped the nuclear-powered facists-whoops, I mean, Brotherhood to the point where I was promoted to Knight and was gifted with a T-60. Both factions still remain, though. I must say, the ending was...........disappointing. Just to spice things up, I may play again and side with the Brotherhood just to see Liberty Prime in action once more

The minutemen ending is the most boring and quick of the three, at least in my opinion. Certainly the shortest.
I'm a big fan of the railroad route mainly because I love Glory.

I like Deacon because he's super chill. Like real chill. Chiller than Hancock. Whenever he is mad he's like a super chill mad where he expresses his thoughts in a lightly negative demeanor and leaves. So yea, Deacon is cool.
Afaik, you have to either install Broken Steel before ever meeting Dogmeat, or get the GOTY edition where BS is included by default and the bug is already there.
It doesn't actually make him invincible, what it does is make him level with you, but at a bugged, accelerated rate. But even his starting health is higher than a Super Mutant Behemoth's, so...

Anyone that's played fallout 4 probably knows Cricket - The crazy hyper travelling merchant who sells "big booms" is voiced by Ashly Burch (Tiny Tina from Borderlands 2)
Now it's all i think of when i see cricket
Well, that's enough binge playing Fallout New Vegas for the whole week. lol
I finally got up to Boulder City! Although I get the feeling I'll end up in New Vegas and that I spent most of the time in wild goose chase for the guy who shot me in the intro. During my journey were some pretty amazing moments. Heading towards Mojave Outpost to get NCR support for Primm, I ran into a bunch of radscorpions. There were so many! My aim sucked and I couldn't kill em all when my bullets barely did damage. So I first hid in the abandoned store with them waiting outside, I was nervous of one being at the door for me. It was intense! I scrounged up supplies in the store and left the store, ONE WAS RIGHT NEXT TO ME! ._. I ran like the Road Runner and just skedaddled to a highway, but they kept following me up until the Outpost. Finally found a safe haven. It felt like a survival horror game there. lol
Later on I arrived in Nipton, crazy shit there. I scavenged some houses, but man, I was nervous of some ghouls hiding in there so I just looked carefully around the houses. It was at night so it was creepier. Finally it was day time and I met the Legion at the mayor's building, holy cow did ever lag a lot when I was near the fire. I talked to the Legionary who run the place, I knew I would be fucked fighting head on, so I went with a suave approach and let them just feel relaxed. But when they started to walk away, I took out me grenade launcher and BOOM! killed some of them! The leader used a buzzsaw and he made the game lag so much my aim was even shittier than before! Luckily I got through it and took what I can get for the road, now an enemy of the Legion (they sent assassins on way to Boulder city, they were ever a pain.)
Now I made it to Novac, did some deals here and there, earning as many caps I can from my loot I don't need. I talked to a guard in the T-Rex and went to the red-rocket factory. First time facing ghouls, and boy are they ever annoying. But by this time, I learned how to aim down the sights and get better shots, finally starting to get better with the aim. Going through the factory was pretty creepy, I was on guard 24/7 in this place. I met up with a glowing ghoul called Jason Bright and his cult, they were pretty bizarre but I just did it for the XP and loot. Of course paying 500 bucks for the rocket's module pissed me off. Still, it was funny to think that I'd be sending some ghouls to space. The basement however was freaking creepy, and I just listened to footsteps from the Niptons (I suppose these were super mutants?) and spammed my shotgun. I nearly died from the two tougher ones, my gawd was it annoying (and I learned Super Stimpaks decrease weight carrying limit, wtf? Sold them cause that's bullshit).
I'm really loving this game, and the creepy moments pitched in with thinking how to survive makes this game a blast! Of course, I won't be binge playing it for a while (I hardly play PC games cuz of my time limit on the computer so that's why I binged), got friends to talk to.
Ah, the good times of playing Fallout NV for the first time, not knowing what the hell you´re doing and fighting all those radscorpions and barkscorpions...
And that mission, Come Fly With Me, so many things to do: at a point I realised that I was tracking Harland´s friend in order for him to leave the room, in order to get the Stealth Boys, in order to get rid of the Nightkin, in order to help Jason with the rocket, in order to have Manny tell me where Benny went... ugh. But well, that´s one of the many things that actually made me enjoy the game so much.
And if you´re at Boulder City, the game has just begun, there are still so many stories to be told, quest that can be done in so many different ways, mysterious plots to be uncovered and the city of New Vegas is still waiting for you and the Mojave Wasteland waiting for you to decide its fate...

Too many chem sessions with Mama Murphy?
No such thing!
Say yes to all the drugs!
End the War on Chems!
X6 did nothing wrong leave him alone
I have. They're still not really evil imo as they hate stealing and robbing from caravans and want to "help people" which seems ooc for them both
Well, it would give raiders something different to do.
X6 is a smarmy prick.
Lies. He's my
loyal sycophantstalwart supporter, so obviously he's got his priorities straight and can do no wrong.I will ;-;

Got bored of the game, don't think I'll be able to finish it!
Fallout 3 - Fawkes (because Intellectual Super Mutants.
Fallout: New Vegas - Rex (because Cyborg Doggies).
Fallout 4 - Piper Wright (because feistily free speech and hot dayum).
FO3: Well like the companions have barely personality so...Dogmeat I guess?
FNV: Veronica. Everything she said made me smile.
Fallout 4: Piper or Nick.

Fallout 3: Fawkes, friggin tank he is. It's hard for me to kill him.
New Vegas: Boone, his perk of spotting enemies really helped.
Fallout 4: Nick Valentine. He's just too pure for this world
The minutemen ending is the most boring and quick of the three, at least in my opinion. Certainly the shortest.

Fallout 3: Fawkes (He puts Strong to shame)
Fallout New Vegas: Raul (Boone is cool too)
Fallout 4: Hancock (Piper and Valentine are runner up)
She died in my playthrough. Is it possible to keep her alive?
how do you get that bug??
Don't think so, unfortunately.
She should have been a companion instead of Deacon imo.
Damn.
