  • thanks ill check it out.

    Yes

  • Watching Code Geass for the first time, trying to ignore all the illogical nonsense (like the fact that the main character is a super intelligent master strategist psychopath teenager) and that some male designs look to be copied from a bad yaoi manga, but I'm surviving. It's damn entertaining though and that's what I pretty much went for, just need to keep those evil criticizing voices down.

    Nope.

I do remember these "Pre Youtube" videos.

Remember this one from back in 2001.

    Another 2001 find. lol

Found this back in 2002 likely could be older.

Now to be honest, I will now murder you with MOE AMVs, but epic ones. =D

  • Honestly, I haven't used netflix. But I can take a wild guess the likely hood of Emma a Victorian Romance would be high on Netflix. It's an often over looked anime production. I'm not into Romance stuff, but I do love history and they took the Victorian era theme insanely seriously right down to social class differences.

  • Not exactly an anime, but I do suggest that you watch RWBY on Youtube. I thought the story is good.

Or watch Red vs Blue, I never thought a Machinema could be good, but it did.

  • Should I watch attack on titan in eng dub or original japanese

Sorry ,only just seen these replies. I would say RWBY is an anime because well it's computer animation and in the style of japanese art style. Just cos it's american made doesnt make a dif. Well I class it as one. I used to watch Red vs Blue quite alot, havent recently. I do love Rooster Teeth, always loved them!

and @Kameraden i'll be sure to check out that series (if its on there) :)

  • I just finished watching the dub today and it's perfectly fine. The VAs are all good, didn't have any problems with them.

As for the anime I didn't really find it as special as people hyped it up to be.

  • Yeah ok mate i'll check it, theres been so much hype over it I wanted to see for myself

  • Nostalgic. I can literally remember every single episode almost by name, scene for scene, even the music that played during the scenes and the sound effects/characters voices in those scenes. Perhaps the only anime I've ever literally memorized almost every second of. Toonami played it like half a dozen times before finallying pulling it. Still have my VHS recording of the series. A Perfect recording with no commericals. Being Toonami had a special edited version of the series, likely now "Rare" to find. =D

  • Mother of Gaia man, at least post something interesting. coughs

  • Pretty faces with Zero Context. Is what. =3

10/10 sound track 10/10 sound effects 10/10 adorable metal machines that blow things up... oh and then there are the girls... ya... they're there to but they're just there as souls to offer up to the adorable metal machines.

  • I'm not into Anime but I really appreciated Attack on Titan. The themes are pretty interesting.

I posted earlier Gundam Thunderbolt December Sky. I think it's on Page 2. I think you'd enjoy it if that is the case. It's insanely serious. Heck I love how much homage the sound track pays to American folk music.

Reminds me of why Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 ended up being my favorite of the older Gundam short series. It's a old school anime OVA in the present which is epic. Reminds me of something they would of made for VHS exclusively during the 1980s. All I can say is watch it, and try to decide who the heck are the antagonist or protagonist? The line is that blurred and I absolutely love that.

One of my favourite animes ever. I really enjoyed watching it. It is Mystery, Psychological, Seinen, Supernatural and also has time travel. The story is amazing and I think most of you will really enjoy it.

  • "The story follows Satoru Fujinuma, a man who somehow possesses an ability that sends him back in time moments before a life-threatening incident, allowing him to prevent it from happening. When his mother is murdered by an unknown assailant, Satoru's ability suddenly sends him back eighteen years to when he was still in elementary school, giving him the opportunity to prevent a kidnapping incident that took the lives of three of his classmates."

  • Because music and radio was kind of one of the art/aesthetic of the story. The two main characters liked music, and different styles of music, and listened to music kind of Iron Eagle style (If you know of the Iron Eagle Movies) when they were in combat. Plus it made for some epic scenes, as the music was tailored to fit well with some of the sad, moments in the animation.

  • I absolutely love Griffith.

Have you seen the ending of the anime ?

But to answer your question, Berserk is my favorite anime, it's the first i ever saw. But i prefer the manga, the anime only covers a small part of it. There is a new anime that recently started that will cover more of the manga, but it has really bad quality in my opinion.

  • GuP's sound track creation process. Simple but catchy and brilliant. Though give it they are mostly reworking original military marches much of the time. But... still. lol

The reason i asked was that few people seem to like him, but he is a really good character.

To make it justice it can't be censored, which i'm sure this really shitty one will be. I would be happy if they made it with the visual quality of the movies.

  • Recently started Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 and Sword Art Online. Loving them both, both have made me extremely sad already

  • I was foolish. I forgot the entire series of Emma is on youtube for "Free" by the NA release company, and to ask you to find it on netflix was a stupid suggestion. Please, do not watch it on netflix. Unless you really want to give the publisher extra cash, something I think everyone should do for their favorite animes. I bought the DVD Box Set for example of Emma, after watching it for free of course. lol

The original FMA is a gem really. I found it hard to enjoy Brotherhood because I saw the original years before. I liked the original stories, the music, and even prefer to ending to the original FMA vs Brotherhood. I also find Brotherhood just has too large of a cast of characters, and at the end they tried to give most of that cast their own conclusions which made the ending one heck of a drag.

  • I feel like advertising again. Ah... anime history, and getting more in depth than just watching a show. You can imagine how different anime today would be if it wasn't for this flop's success. I remember when it was on Toonami, I'm not even sure they finished the "Run" on Toonami, until it was pulled because of it's heavy war theme shortly after September 11th 2001. Bad enough they had to edit it a lot just so the could play it on TV here, but... darn Terrorist!

Tragic American TV history of the show. Sniffles

Hoping to capitalize on the success of Gundam Wing from the previous year, Bandai Entertainment released a heavily edited and English-dubbed version of Mobile Suit Gundam, premiering on Cartoon Network's Toonami block across the United States on Monday, July 23, 2001. The series did not do as well as Wing but the ratings were high enough for the whole series to be aired and to spawn an enormous toy line. Unfortunately, due the September 11th attacks, Cartoon Network, like many other TV stations, began pulling, and editing, war-themed content and violent programming, resulting in the cancellation of the series. However, the series finale was shown as part of Toonami's "New Year's Eve-il" special on December 31, 2001[9] and the unaired episodes were aired in reruns during 2002.

On Saturday, June 8, 2002, the series was given another chance by Cartoon Network on their late-night Adult Swim block, but it was again pulled before completing its run because of low ratings

Final note why it failed in 2002 as well? They had it on at like 2:30 AM. Even though it was a Saturday who the heck will stay up that light to watch a TV show? The current Toonami in 2016 suffers from the same problem. Starting at 11PM or 12PM counting on time zone, most of the programming goes on well into the early morning, it's ridiculous and idiotic for them to expect even respectable ratings at all for all but the first few programs they play.

  • Yes, the 2003 has a really compelling story, got me griped, I hope alph gets some kind of body back! :/

Love it when an anime doesnt have to be full on action to be amazing

  • Been watching a new show called RE zero and it has nothing to do with resident evil. Its a head fuck of a anime every time the main dies he goes back to a earlier point its a strange concept and pretty dark. The writer and director changed at episode 14 and it got 100x more sketchy its good and freaky, if you like anime scary hold on until after episode 14.

Ive also been watching sailor moon with subs its actually better then I remember it and the enemies are great. So much nostalgia from this anime there is a remake but I dont like it it uses cg and is more girly.

  • Anyone know of any animes with good story with like relationship elements, don't mind if it's not over action packed. Just love a good story, dig up the old emotions that are buried deep within me.
