Don't mind if it's accompanied by these genres - slice of life, action, romance, sci-fi... well anything really. I want a good laugh! Be nice if it's on Crunchyroll so I can watch it in bed XD
Anyone got any good comedy recommendations?

I primarily watch sub, like most. But occasionally I watch a dub, one of those for me is Naruto so I can binge watch, it's also something good to have on while playing games. But I do come across those cringey sounding extra's etc.
Curious, does anyone have any genuinely good dubs? You tend to lose alot with dub because it has to fit the lip flaps and after hearing the character in japanese its hard to imagine what they'd sound like in english.
My favourite dub probably is Fullmetal Alchemist. I really like Vic Mignogna, he's also qrow in rwby
@clemyclooandbabyboo sent me a bad dub video for DBZ and I don't think I've witnessed anything so horrendous in my life.
Yup. Kuroshitsuji is pretty lighthearted most of the time, but it definietly has some darker moments. I guess it depends on what you like, but it's my favourite manga/anime of all time. I really recommend watching it.
The Ghost Stories dub. Because the actual anime was so bad that when they were dubbing it in English they just said "fuck it" and told the voice actors to just say whatever the hell they wanted. So it went from a really serious paranormal ghost anime to a comedy. It's great.
The stories themselves are relatively the same but the dialogue is completely ad-libbed.
Just watch these clips there here. You'll think that's been abridged by Team Four Star or something but it's all legit.

Space Dandy, Mushishi, and Mob Psycho 100 are easily my top 3 shows. SOOOOO fucking cool. I honestly couldn't pick between the three of them. They're all so fantastic in their own ways.
And Ginko is everything I want to be in this life.

Death Note had a great dub; so much so, that I prefer it in dub (and this from someone who generally prefers to watch anime subtitled when it is set in Japan).
Also, Hellsing Ultimate had a glorious dub. The original series' dub was alright, but the acting quality improved drastically with Ultimate.
NOTE: Juuuuuuuust ignore the French and German segments.

Just saw this episode a couple days ago. Yeah it's pretty bad but to be fair, they're target audience is Japanese (of course) so it just has to sound like English to them.

I'm not German (actually Australian). I am learning German, though.
Generally, I prefer subs if it is set in Japan, or a majority of the main characters are Japanese (for obvious reasons), excepting when the dubs are as good or even better than the original (rare occurrences).
If set in an English-speaking country, like Hellsing, I prefer the dubs generally (unless the dubs are poorly done).
If set in say, a fantasy world, my preferences usually gravitate based on the influences of the setting. One example being AOT. Since it's setting is based aesthetically on European styles, and most of the names in it are German/English, and a decent amount of the OST's lyrics are German or English, and since I am not fully fluent in German and have already bought the English language release, I watch that in the English dub.
You have stated before that you tend to gravitate towards subs. I am curious; to what extent does the setting play in your decisions?

Never seen FMA. It has been on my to-watch list for a looong time (close to two years). But even when Life nor School are in the way, I always put it off in favour of another series.
Before I do watch it, I shall sample a couple of clips in English, German and Japanese. If what I have heard about FMA is true, however, I may - as you have alluded - watch it in German.
As someone who has watch FMA, what do you prefer: English or Japanese? You said that FMA had your favourite dub, but how does it compare to the original audio?
God there are so many...of course Eren, Mikasa and Armin....also Levi(though I detest how stoic he is...even Mikasa is stoic to the millionth degree...ahh anime. Sasha Blouse...god how can you not love potato girl? Annie, though I was like WTF when she did what she did.
Erwin Smith...Hange Zoe(I just love how mad scientist she is). So many good characters!!

Anime...have no comic shops worth a Damn...the sad fact of living in rural Ohio....caught the anime on Netflix...was a fan of Robotech(thank you Netflix). My partner and I enjoy exploring anime now...but we are still books.
Even their designs are so different (comparing it to other anime where everyone looks same lol).
Are you anime fan or manga fan? Like, have you read the manga?
I am actually curious, as someone who speaks english as a second language, and dont know any japanese, except for a few words, I always hear that watching subs and whatnot is better, but I always feel like, maybe the voice acting isnt quite as good, or the translation isnt spot on, but its way easier to get invested in something if I actually understand the spoken language, and tone of voice becomes alot more meaningful when I actually understand the words being spoken, also, what is it that makes subs have better translations than dubs? couldnt they just use the subs as the script for the dub in that case?

I watched all in english. It's one anime I very much prefer over the japanese version.
This is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood that is. as its the manga ending
Comments
I just realised after watching OPM again that Saitama and Genos are Banri and Mitsou from Golden Time! So they stayed bros then

Have you tried Gintama? It's the best comedy
Have you watched Kuroshitsuji? It can be dark sometimes, but it's still a really great comedy.
Nichijou.

Fantastic show.

KAMEHAMEHA!

KAMEHAMEHA!
Attack on Titan Season 2 is coming..I cannot wait!
SEID IHR DAS ESSEN NEIN WIR SIND DER JAGER
There this scene in www.working in which saiki - who cant speak much japanese has an english conversation.
Im crying at this.

My favourite bit is from one of the earlier episodes where Saiki thinks in japanese XD, I know its for the audience but it's so funny.
My favourite is MIYAKOSHI-SAN!!!!!!!!
Deine Grammatik ist abschuldig (joking) Still, though. (Der Jäger = singular. Die Jäger = plural)
Even when written as it is originally, though, still the first sentence makes little sense.
"Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind die Jäger!/Are you the food? No, we are the hunters!) - Original
Vs
"Seid ihr die Beute? Nein, wir sind die Jäger/Are you the prey? No, we are the hunters!) - Probably what Sawano was looking to write.

How did you feel about FMA? I watched it in dub, and that's even wrong, really we should be watching in German with English subs aha

Usually because a dub has to match the lip flaps use can lose words due to how a sentence differs in another language.
Also because the Japanese language is awesome and I love hearing it. After a while you pick up on words, I like that about watching subs
Dear god, this is emerald!
...
I'll show myself out now.
I see. Well, I shall try to watch both the original and Brotherhood if I can.
