Also Kenny is not in the car when it crashes in the EP1 flashback.

Again, Fear The Walking Dead and Telltale's The Walking Dead share plot points. The post below touches on this. Beware, it contains spoilers of unreleased episodes.
How does the episode begin?
The episode opens with Madison, Travis, and Alicia being captured by what appears to be a military group and then, taken to a base. Travis is taken to a dark holding cell where he finds Nick being held there as well. But, Madison and Alicia are looked in a room and later "interviewed" by Troy, one of the leaders of the base.
The antagonists were part of the military? Check.
Why were other survivors captured?
They were captured because some of these military guys are top-of-the-line psychos. They capture Mexicans, execute them one-by-one, and then, record the reanimation process and how long it takes for each person to turn. They claim they're doing it all for "science," but it's pretty obvious they're getting their rocks off by killing these people.
Sadistic members among the antagonists? Check.
Do we learn why the Military gunned down the La Colonia survivors?
Not really except that Troy tells Madison that they get people from Mexico all the time trying to rob them and take their food and fuel. That could be it, but we don't know for sure.
Antagonists attack a community that had been established beforehand? Check.
Conflict starts over food and fuel? Check.
How does the episode end?
It ends with the military base being overrun after Nick inadvertantly causes a herd to get inside in his attempt to escape. So, Madison, Travis, Nick, Alicia and Luciana leave with the military dudes supposedly on their way to a sanctuary/ranch owned by Troy and his brother's father.
The settlement of the antagonists is overrun? Check.
There is a ranch that's affiliated to the antagonists? Check.

AJ across the first three episodes: Healthy AJ, sick AJ (ep 2), super sick AJ (ep 3):
AJ after Edith falls on him in the Wellington flashback:
Handmade stained glass paintings, made specifically for the Richmond church. Say what you want to say about character models and the art style, but the art team definitely put in some work:
And now, a giant dump of random matte backgrounds/renders used throughout the season:
Well she was with s2 group for, let's say, a week. (We'll use the jane flashback since its easier) Let's say S2 ends, Clem is with Jane fo… morer 3 months and she then kills herself. Clem is now 11 years old. Time skip of 13 months happen (from what it said in the game) she just turned 12. AJ is not even two years old yet.
But in the files it said 18 months pass. So, mathematically, right now Clementine is maybe 12 and a half. BUT, according to staff, in episode 5 she's turning 14 sooner than later.
The whole timeline is fucked. Show, game and comics included.
Well since Kirkman and all that clearly don't know what their timeline is about, how about we make our own I always love bending things that were unclear in the first place, anyway.
she's turning 14 sooner than later
This actually makes quite a bit of sense because anf is set during late summer/early autumn, while clem was born at some point in October.

Well...That stats of characters shown on the video are max level stats.
Mariana's max level is 70 meanwhile Gabe's is only 50, so it's obviously not a fair comparison.

And now, a giant dump of random matte backgrounds/renders used throughout the season:
Back in June whenever Job was asked her age he would always say "13 or 14" people got confused as to why he kept jumping back and forth, when asked about Clem being 13 or 14 he later said something along the lines of "How much time passes between 301 and 305?" Indicating that there will be a timeskip turning her 14. I also refuse to believe she turned 14 throughout episodes 1-4 because literally 2 or 3 days have passed.
There needs to be a road to survival thread around here. Ik it is not exactly telltale but we are still dealing with their characters and they do have a small part in the game.
Javier originally had a sister alongside David called Anita who ended up marrying Hector.
Mariana was supposed to be Hector's daughter (the "you want some juice?" guy in the beginning of the game).
Kate was originally called 'Grace'.
Also found some more stuff. The first scene with Max was supposed to play out differently depending on the choices that you made during it.
If you chose to leave the junkyard immediately:
Max begins questioning you. Where are your people? How many of you are there?
Max works his way towards the trailer. He doesn't trust you, you're going to come inside with him. You're not sure what he's going to find inside...but the place is empty.
Reveal: Grace and kids are beneath the floorboards.
If you chose to stay the night:
You are in the trailer with family, when you see guys w/ flashlights thru the window.
You get Grace and the kids into the floorboards to hide, but there's no time for you to go in so you/they close the hatch, leaving you up there alone.
Max enters the trailer. He begins questioning you. Where are your people? How many of you are there?
There would be a tense situation where Max recognizes signs of people and asks you about the food. He would then notice the hatch Javier is standing on.
The player would then be given a choice;
Go with him, or attack him. (If you go with, they zip tie you and take you out. If you attack him, gun goes off, maybe Max gets conditional injury; then they zip tie you and take you out.)
"No single dude drives a minivan. We're taking you, and we're gonna find the rest of our people."
Javi in Spanish: "Wait here, I'll come back for you"
"What did you say?" -- Player can respond.
Interestingly, the writers describe the situation like this:
Scene end should feel like family is trapped in the heart of the hornet's nest. So player has a clear goal -- get back to your family and rescue them.
The language is NOT about imprisonment; keep it vague, they're taking you to a place, not "capturing you" per se. He can just say something to the effect of "choices have consequences," except not that.
Okay I know I'm practically spamming at this point sorry this will be my last for a bit but holy shit they scrapped SO MUCH from episode 1 it's unreal.
Here are the highlights:
Prescott
Tripp was supposed to check you for bites but not Francine. She was supposed to 'betray' you at some point.
Prescott had walkers hanging on nooses (I think that provides the context of that cut line about Clem saying "We could hang for this!")
Clem asks you to find a place to sleep for the night.
There would be a hub section here and you could look at the helicopter, medical station, wind turnbines, townspeople talking about the noose zombies and people fleeing from the storm(?)
Sidenote: the writers lowkey roast Bethesda
Interactions should be organic noncorny non-tropey and not Fallout 4
Wellington
Wellington was supposed to have a bit more gameplay.
Player picks a spot to hang the picture. There are a 2 gaps in the already dense cluster of artwork with pips available to select.
After the second object grab, we hear the sound of gunfire start outside and AJ will begin to cry again. AJ then becomes selectable to comfort, but will eat up valuable time.
Interactive: Gather your shit and let AJ cry? Or handle AJ and abandon your shit?

They left internal notes to each other. Some of them have dates, like Brad Kane left a note for the design team about Mariana's grave which was dated 14th November last year.
I read your other posts and yeah, seriously, where is all this "writers said: ..." coming from?
Though if it is true, Telltale really rewrote the wrong stuff. These things are great! More engaging and detailed than what we have right now.
If you chose to kiss Kate at the junkyard (or are an unlucky sap like myself and randomly generated Ep 1-2 choices for an Anti-Kate save) and later reject having feelings for her in Episode 4, she will slap you across the face upon choosing the line about not wanting to hurt her feelings. As a bonus she says "fuck you" to Javier.

The execution scene after Tripp and Ava are brought out is oddly similar to Jesus and his hanging from the cross. Could be unintentional parallels, but things I noticed were:

-The 'bad' thief on his left (Tripp) ridiculed him, was denied from his kingdom
-The 'good' thief on his right (Ava) supported him, was accepted into his kingdom
-A crowd of people spectate, believing they were wronged by him
-To be executed in front of the townsfolk

I thought so. I would've… more been confused as to why they never mention him again if they didn't establish that Mariana is Gabe's sister.
Unless Gabe adopted her, that is.
David was gone with Jaja to the hospital and never met back up with them, while Hector most likely died of his bite from Rafa in Javier's company, thereby making Gabe her only official family as her new brother.
