For someone who recently watched Konosuba I've really noticed the difference in season 1 ep10 to season 2 ep1. Alot of the comments after th… moree video are people pointing this out. and by alot I mean alot, I struggled to find out if many people actually enjoyed it. I loved it, funny as season 1, but the aniimation change is noticable.
Hey, I'm part on an anime discord chat. We also talk other things but the reason it was made was to talk about anime and recommend others. If anyone wishes to join just reply and I'll send you a link. But we got a good group of people just to chat im general

That being said, I often wish that happened more often. If it isn't "serious" to begin with why bother making a serious dub right? Too much anime doesn't appeal to western viewers, and honestly anime fans are the worst so screw them right? Lets make an english dubs that any idiot who doesn't even know what anime is will enjoy it, that is what that feels like when I watch it. lol
Kind of like this Abridge which even directly makes fun of the viewer base, at least on the 2nd episode. Actually, this is what convinced me to actually watch this anime. lol
The Ghost Stories dub. Because the actual anime was so bad that when they were dubbing it in English they just said "fuck it" and told the v… moreoice actors to just say whatever the hell they wanted. So it went from a really serious paranormal ghost anime to a comedy. It's great.
The stories themselves are relatively the same but the dialogue is completely ad-libbed.
Just watch these clips there here. You'll think that's been abridged by Team Four Star or something but it's all legit.
Might Guy(8 Gates) vs Goku(Ultra Instinct)=?
Might Guy(8 Gates) vs All Might(Prime)=?
All Might(Prime) vs Goku(Ultra Instinct)=?
Also, between Goku and Might Guy, whose form has the most advantages and most disadvantages? I'm a fan of both but want to know what others think.
Anybody see Devilman Crybaby and think it was pretty bad? What it was going for was interesting, but the execution just felt really terrible, especially the second half. I really didn't care anymore near the end. I don't get why the anime community seems to love it so much, besides it being dark and not shounen-y. It's a 6.5/10 at BEST imo.
Been watching Hunter X Hunter since it finally aired on Toonami after a recommendation a year or two beforehand and it was my favorite show for while. Still relatively good.
Also been watching My Hero Academia there as well alongside my nephew(despite how ill-advised that might sound). It's somewhere above okay.
Oh and Dragonball Super of course. Also with Toonami. After years of hearing talk and seeing things about it's sub.

So... I ended up buying it. For an odd reason, the English subs translation is different on the Japanese release than the NA release. That, in itself isn't weird, as it's common for anime to have voices translated by a different company. What's weird is that the English subs on the NA release don't even perfectly match the English voices. So... Three? Different companies were involved?
What bothers me is that the subs on the NA release seem inferior to the Japanese release. The subs on the Japanese release were more of a direct translation and the ones on the NA release were more Americanized(our vernacular and idioms) and seem very out of place.

I mean, it's only 10 quick episodes so if you have Netflix you may as well give it a try. It's not terrible, but it's no where near the masterpiece that the community makes it out to be. Be warned that it is a hard R kind of show, and probably best to watch while alone.
Comments
I've seen worse. There was a scene on Nedesico, oh my gosh was it bad. So bad it makes me easily prefer the english dubs. lol

Cheers. I shall take that offer up.

Official, best dub ever. I laughed a lot.

My favourite is Ginga Nagareboshi Gin. It was my first series as a kid and i never forget it. Gin touched my heart.
Started watching Another. The series, not the movie. Heard good things. Sounds good. We'll see.

Sounds like something to avoid.

Yah, most of the shows I've seen do that. It's why I don't bother with dubs unless I need to do something else while I'm watching.
I haven't watched this season in two months, and I still have it's opening theme stuck in my head. Damn you, Sword Art Online!
It's spinoff's opening is also pretty memorable
