    EXTREME LATE NIGHT CHRISTMAS BAKING
  • edited December 2010
I think all the baking is done around here, but I'm doing

    EXTREME LATE NIGHT CHRISTMAS WRAPPING

Also, my mom and sister are currently decorating the tree. It's had lights and an angel for a couple days, but no ornaments until a little while ago. Because my mom and I were the only ones home and pretty much spent the whole week in the kitchen.

But yeah, I'm awesome at wrapping presents. However, thanks to several factors including buying my own presents on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as well as my dad all passed out, some extras were thrown in with my sister's presents for me to wrap. So as I was wrapping the Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 set and I asked my mom to write out tags for me, she made an interesting decision.

Tonight, I wrapped a present addressed to my family from Santa. I think it's safe to say that all sense of surprise or illusion has been thrown out the window this year.

I've decided to watch every good season of the Simpsons as I've never seen any episode of it before. Can anyone recommend to me a good season to quit watching at due to decline in quality or such or should I just watch them all?
  • edited December 2010
Might as well watch them all. There's very little agreement on when the show went downhill, and even then, there have been good episodes after that point.

Now that I'm back from Disney:

Merry Christmas! Happy Kwanza! And Festivus for the rest o us!

And, Dashing, bought you a birthday gift while I was at Tokyo Disney... if you want it I'll ship on Monday. It's small, but I'll pay for the shipping. If you want it, though, I'm going to need to know where to send it TO.

And I'll send out Comrade's gift then, too. My treat. just send me the address in a PM or else NO SWEETS FOR YOU.

As far as I'm concerned, it's hard to say. There are places where it gets bad, but then gets better again in some subsequent year. I'm not some rich historian of Simpsons lore, though.

Well, apparently it's okay/won't kill me to take expired Lemsip that's only a month out of date, hurrah! Now if only I could drink it constantly instead of one every four hours... stupid liver and it's intolerance for excessive amounts of paracetamol.

Also, why the hell is Toy Story a PG, and Toy Story 3 a U? Yeah, so the mutant toys from the first one is freaky, but so is the
    incinerator scene
    in the third one.

Hope everyone else is having a good one!

I took Fishermans Friends and Victory V's and Lockets in between my Lemssip ...sipping. The Fishermans Friends are stinkin' but they do the job :)

Well I got an atari 2600, 4 games. a Playstation move and my phone bill is taken care of for a few months...I'm happy.

I wish we had an Atari in the Netherlands. The only Ataris I actually saw in the Netherlands were those on display on some mini-museum.

Also, it's getting more frequently frustrating to go on the game-specific boards, due to all those new people complaining about stuff. Gamers ARE more demanding, and that's what the problem with the gaming industry is. Not so much the complaining as is the over-complaining.

My parents say that when we had an Atari 2600 (I was but only five-six months old), I could distinguish between a working joystick and a broken one (of course, my parents always wanted me to sit with the broken one). But being a gamer in spirit I was able to see past their deception and crawl (literally) to the real working joystick and play some Atari 2600.

Ah, I love pissing off Catwoman fanboys by comparing her to catgirl cosplayers. That alone has made this the best Christmas ever. AWWW YEAH.

Woo, I have Epic Mickey and too much of a headache to play it!

In other news, my grandmother needs a new computer. She got hers a year or two after we got our first one, which makes it at least 8 years old. It runs incredibly slowly and I can't figure out any cause for it, and web text and graphics display oddly, again with no discernible cause. Luckily, I got her a mouse and keyboard for Christmas, but since the software for her old one didn't properly uninstall, I can't install it. It functions, but the advanced features don't work. Also, her old CRT monitor's going out. Between those two factors, I think I can finally start swaying her into getting a new computer. She likes Dells and just wants something basic, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one for not too much.

    Hmmm....
Is Fable 3 better than 2?

    Yes and no.

Graphically better, (The environment is well designed. Some game devs get lazy and repeat assets (and normally not in a clever way...)), battle system better, (and worse, due to lack of difficulty).
Story so far is the same in quality. (Endings always disappoint)
Pause menu is unique (But I know it will annoy me eventually)
    Customisation is still good.
Character interaction simplified (disappointing, but it doesn't affect me much, as I never played the games for that part).

Overall, I love the games, but I think they should spend more time on the GAME part, (and probably more time in general) and less time on the new features, (that they never seem to fully implement anyway...)

(Though I wish the newer games were on PC, as if they could be modded, they would be awesome!! :D)
