Blueray DVDs look really awesome on a proper 1080p LCD HDTV
(Especially CGI)
Man, my little bro is so lucky.
On his 18th birthday (his birthday's on Christmas day) he gets a 32inch Sony Bravia HDTV (Wall Mounted!!) and a 320GB PS3 Slim (well he wanted a blueray player, but a PS3 doesn't cost all that much more, so we all chipped in to get another PS3) with Gran Tourismo 5 and Need for Speed (the latest one). (He loves racing games!)
I'm not complaining though.
I got a few PS3 games I can play upstairs, (though almost all my games are on the 360! (but luckily me best bud gave me his spare 360 that he repaired, so I'll set that up upstairs tomorrow, (its a shame its a pre-HDMI model though...)).

I honestly can't tell the difference between them and Rregular DVD's, which has led to my strong dislike of Blueray disks, We don't need more space for a movie, We've already got unnecessary multiple commentaries, deleted scenes I like though.

When you play around with video encoding for a bit, you definately begin to notice the difference.
In cartoons, its really, really noticable.
The colour is richer, and the images are crisper on the Blue Ray.
(Especially if you have the right TV for it, (we have an early-ish HD LG 42 inch in our living room, and our new Sony Bravia seems to outperform it considerably)
I watched Fantasia on Blue Ray, (an animated film made in the 1940s), and its likely to have been touched up a bit, but it looks nicer than Family Guy Season 9 which I have on DVD, (I know its not fair to compare a regular animation to an artsy one, but COME ON, Family Guy season 9 just came out, and its no where near as crisp or as colourful (I'm thinking comparatively)).
I admit the leap from DVD to Blueray is no where near as big from VHS to DVD, but its still worth the upgrade (in my opinion).
Bluerays, (as well as the players) are getting cheaper now as well. If they keep going the way they are, they are likely to become the norm, (I don't think DVD will quite die. I think the cheapness of producing them will settle them into a nice niche).
I think the Java capability might eventually have some creative uses.
(I also love deleted scenes, and bonus movies, even artwork)
Tope: Since I'm a cheapskate, and one of my friends is coming all the way from New Jersey to visit, I'm sending the stuff home with him. He'll ship it out from the States- it will be a lot cheaper. Inside the package is a bag of sour gummy candies for you, a Disney bag (and its contents) for Dashing, and the rest of the candies are for Pants. I may slip some other stuff in there. I'll let you know if I do, and who gets what.
Remolay, you expressed interest in Japan. You want anything?
Also, I'm leaving for my trip... now. I'll have internet in the ryonkan though. Unrestricted internet. I don't care how slow it is, I need to get my *** on Steam to send out my Secret Santa gift.

Depending on the Movie you are watching on Blu-Ray disc. Like RetroVortex stated cartoons look extremly different in HD also CGI Movies.
Toy Story 1-3 are looking really good on Blu-Ray.
The Dark Knight is an good example for a live action movie which looks brilliant on Blu-Ray. I have it on DVD and Blu-Ray and the difference is huge.
Some Movies are just looking the same i.e. Fight Club.

Well, this is me we're talking about so of course I do, but my parents would never let me get something sent here from someone I don't know. I'll have to stick to finding stuff at the conventions I don't go to and pretend I'm cool.
*Sigh* maybe I'll get to go to a convention soon, who knows.
And back to Blueray, They are slowly phasing out DVD's I know it. I haven't seen an advertisement for a regular DVD in months, only the Blueray stuff. And technically I now own a blueray disc, as I have Kick-ass, which was a Blueray disc, a DVD, and a digital copy disc thing that wont work because my CD drive is busted.
I really need a new laptop.
This one takes 9 trys to start up if Im lucky
Has a terrible connection to the internet.
Overheats at the STARTUP SCREEN of any game but poker night and bttf for whatever reason.
and takes the power of god to stay on.
At least my sister got herself a mac and has another laptop just sitting there:D
Work starts again tomorrow, i'm heartbroken. There must be some sort of job out there that pays me ridiculously and leaves me with time to indulge in all the things I wanna do.
I am incredibly proud to make that my theme song, sure.
BTW, can anyone tell me if Beyond Good and Evil or the Deathspank games are worth purchasing. I'm interested in some opinions on this.
I don't think Beyond Good and Evil in its current state is worth the buy, seeing as your PC might be too fast for the game, causing in sound desynchronization.

Damn, why didn't I wait! I just bought it like two seconds before I read this. Screw compulsive buying!

Not enough hours in the day
Or you could try for a job that is one of the things you wanna do.

Well, it's mostly only obvious in the cutscenes though, although the cutscenes ARE pretty important to get yourself immersed in the world.
But I only bought the game for the voices. I happen to love the Dutch version, seeing as it has voice acting veterans like Nikki Romijn (did the Dutch voice of Clover from Totally Spies), Tony Neef (Dutch musical star and voice of many characters in many Dutch versions) and Howard Komproe (Dutch stand-up commedian, and he did some voice work, like Gibson in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!)
It's the only game I was glad it only had the Dutch and French voice in the GameCube version.

Oh, hopefully it shouldn't be too big of a problem then. Also, I love Totally Spies. I love things that revel in their own cheesiness.
Or you could try for a job that is one of the things you wanna do.
Any job i'd wanna really do would require moving out of my little town, which requires me to save up money by doing the job I dislike, which is telling people the phone numbers to their nearest dentist, supermarket, taxidermist etc. Someday though I will get that bikini inspector/fireman job.

Also, Where the hell is my order telltale?
Only when nothings on to listen to the bitchy narrator
Because it makes me angry

Hasn't been for months, obviously.
I recommend this.
ok I´ve changed my mind, all I want is a car that´s works ( meaning it rolls when I gives gas...)

I could not be so cruel, old friend, as to ask you to relinquish your theme song to me. Thanks anyway, though.
Oh! Those are a bit easier to come by.
I am incredibly proud to make that my theme song, sure.

Yep, I guess so, but it doesn´t hurt if the car is nice to look at as well;)

Powerful man hailing from a family known for their love for destruction
Tourist who comes to Hong Kong to escape, but finds his loneliness only intensifies there
Older woman who's had a rough life, but uses her experiences not to become bitter, but to empower others
An embittered youth who can sense the apocalypse approaching - and laughs in its face
I could go on.
Oh, hopefully it shouldn't be too big of a problem then. Also, I love Totally Spies. I love things that revel in their own cheesiness.
I love my dad for introducing me to the music of Kraftwerk.

Bahhhh, I blame the queens speech, it filled you feckers up with national pride
