At this time you are only able to purchase games. To do so just click on the Games tab up top, click on the game you would like to buy and then click buy now.
As of right now to purchase a game just go to the games tab at the top, then from there select any game you want to purchase, click on it, then click buy now. This will add the game to your cart for easy check out. Hope this helps!
Desktop Computers/Laptops are basically dead.. I would have released a mobile friendly/tablet friendly version before one that works on a computer.. The forum is awful on an iPad!
JessW_TTG Moderator Telltale Staff
Like it has been stated, there is a mobile site in the works. These things just take time, so pleas… moree be patient until then. Thank you.
JessW, I am not talking about a mobile version of the site. You should not need a special "mobile version" of a website in order to view it properly using Safari on iPhone. Are you following me? Are you one of the people responsible for this new site? The text overlaps with graphics on some of your games pages. Are you aware of this? That is not indicative of needing a "mobile version." That is indicative of mistakes in your web design and failure to test with iPhones. Have you looked at this site with an iPhone? Yes, mobile versions can sometimes make it easier to view certain sites, but it should by no means be required to use the site. As I stated earlier, many people prefer not to use stripped down "mobile versions" on their phones; instead, they choose to view the… [view original content]
This whole situation reminds me of the medical ethics rule "primum non nocere" which says that, when treating a problem, first make sure you aren't going to make the problem worse or create even more problems.
Well, the Telltale web team was apparently tasked with fixing the problems of the previous forum in a new update, but they ended up giving us something way, way worse and that no one even wanted. This result was so unnecessary.
It's like they were given the assignment, "make a community area that looks modern and like YouTube or Instagram and what all the kids are using these days, and integrate it with Twitter feeds and have up/down votes and call it a day." It seems like there was no thought given to what helps foster a successful, easy to use discussion forum or what made the previous forum successful. And ignoring the feedback of longtime users was just such a stick in the eye.
This new forum design, aside from being cluttered, a chore to navigate, far more limiting than before, slow, cramped and a nightmare to use on the iPhone/iPad (unlike the previous forum), is far better suited to comments on blog posts or news articles. Perhaps it should only be used for those purposes, and then maybe we could get actual forum software for this area again. That way they could still use this software they created, but for non-forum areas.
Imagine if they had fixed the problems of the previous forum, but gave us a familiar but updated, modern forum software. We would all be celebrating the new forum right now.
Instead we have Telltale employees like Jake saying how happy they are that this new forum has been launched, since the other one was 7 years old. The message is, "guys, it was time for a change. Don't be afraid of change." But they say nothing about how this new forum is supposed to be better. Yeah, the previous was far from perfect and needed an update. It would have been quite a feat to make something even worse, but after many months of work and ignoring forum user feedback, the Telltale web

...It would have been quite a feat to make something even worse, but after many months of work and ignoring forum user feedback, the Telltale web team accomplished just that.
My question is: why was no apparent consideration given to forum feedback when designing this area, and will the web team consider using more suitable forum software for this area in the future?

I am mean no disrespect to the web team. Maybe they were given insufficient or bad direction. I'm sure they worked hard.
But all the negative feedback is just people being honest. We're expressing our displeasure because we care about the forum.
It can't make them feel good to see that their work is causing many longtime forum users to leave and go to other sites. Hopefully the team cares about this.

This, guys. It's very clear you guys put a lot of effort into making this new site, but some major changes need to be made or people aren't going to come here anymore. The old forum was our home, and it's not like we aren't willing to give this one a chance, but you MUST listen to our feedback or this "community" is simply going to fade away. Maybe that's what you guys wanted, I really don't know.

Completely agree. I don't post often, just like to read discussions from time to time. This whole threads within threads thing is horrible to read through. You could have new comments on every page of discussion vs the old forum where you just catch up to the page you were on and follow along from there. On top of that there's now a wall of stickies on top of all the discussions. The entire community/support section feels like a giant mess and it's extremely uncomfortable to sort through.

That really scares the crap out of me as well. Do me a favor - just stay, and, all friendly-like, keep pushing. Hopefully not against anything or anyone, but with the Telltale team to maybe one day bring this forum within acceptable parameters. You might think all the quiet is a bad sign, as if you aren't heard or understood. I believe the contrary is the case.

You have no idea how relived I am to here you say that, I love this forum more then any other, and some changes were great, I have faith in Telltale that won't go away just because the forum changed for the worse, thanks for telling us.
It's good that you're listening. It would be helpful for some of the more obvious bugs or weaknesses (e.g. lack of polls, moderating tools, etc.) if you could spend a little time acknowledging that you're aware of the issue, even if you don't plan on investing the time into changing it. It really helps with perception; if the community sees that there is active participation from the web team, and that you're generally interested in improving the experience, people are more likely to stick around and stay as part of the community.
If there's no acknowledgement of individual issues, it just makes us think that nothing will change. :-)
i was planning on picking up Telltales texas hold em bone 1 and 2 and the first tales of monkey special edition but these games arent in the store how can i buy them ?

When you say 'the first tales of monkey special edition', I assume you mean the Special Edition of the original Monkey Island.
That was never Telltale's game to begin with (it was all LucasArts), would might explain why it isn't available for purchase any more - Telltale are focusing on their own games.
As for the others... no idea. Maybe Telltale just hasn't gotten round to making pages for them yet?

My guess would be that they are "phasing out" their older games, though I have no clue why they would. I think they should at least group them under a "Telltale Classics" section or something.

What concerns me is that I actually purchased a copy of Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition from Telltale, and there's no longer a place to download it from. I have it on Steam, so I'm still in good shape, but I imagine there are others who only bought it here.

This may be a bit off topic but has to do with the website.... Still missing the store . Liked browsing through the memorabilia and buying a few things. Still wear my Monkey Island Tshirt - my 2 boys do as well. Ever coming back?

Hey Ribs and Jmm,
In order to get your codes please contact our customer support. It would be helpful if you can find your receipt as one should have been e-mailed to you. Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions.

It'll be back. I don't have any idea where "not for a long while" and "if at all" come from. We've been trying to communicate that physical merch will be making a comeback after we get the kinks worked out of the new site.

Agreed on the miscommunication. Sorry about that. I'll certainly say that we'll have merch again at some point in the near(ish) future, but it won't be in the next month or so. The types of merch we offer will also change to be a bit more unique to TTG. I wish I could be more definitive for you but it'll make more sense after some of the franchise announcements we have coming up this fall. Hope you can stay tuned!
http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/50514/the-telltale-store-and-years-old-purchases There appears to have been something of a miscommunication. Now, about those kinks...
I dl'd that link and ran into the same problem. This is ridiculous that I can't play something I bought from the site. I hope they fix this issue because otherwise I'm going to be quite upset.
I also email support so hopefully they'll fix this soon.

I wonder if it doesn't work for everyone, or if it is related to the missing receipts in the user accounts.

Not yet. They want to get the site working properly first, then they'll look into maybe bringing merch back.
...so sometime in 2015.
Judging from the comments above, I'd say no. At least not for a long while. They've been winding the store down from a while now.
Not for quite a while, if at all.
Will the page that lists all my gift codes come back?

Solely digital is the future, right? Just ask Microsoft. Crickets.
That was just about the same thing the Microsoft advertising guy said about the new XBOX ONE and gamers with out a Internet connection can get bent.
A lot of people use tablets and iPhones now. After using laptops for years we don't even touch them anymore.
I am not a fan of the new format.

Will you be reuploading the Sam and Max webcomic again?
It would be a damn shame to see such wonderful art disappear forever.
blackaerin, thankfully, Telltale has reserved a space for The Big Sleep again. PHEW. This would have been an animation for crucifixation.

The mouseover speech bubbles are gone, sadly, but I believe we now have the comic in far better resolution as a trade-off.
