Well... the thing is, why would we see Kenny's corpse? If we are following Clementine's storyline, wouldn't we be out of Savannah? Either he m… moreanaged to crawl his way out after getting nommed on by walkers and just so happened to come across her, or maybe, JUST MAYBE he's alive? It wouldn't make much sense for Telltale to backtrack right? Why go back through Savannah? Maybe if our main character was in Savannah at the time, but it seems highly unlikely(unless they pull some crazy twist that you are Vernon or something).
Anyway, so for Kenny's fate to be 'explored', I'm guessing we will see him at some point unless it is Christa and/or Omid that tell her "Oh, and Kenny..." So I'm thinking Kenny plays some part in this, especially because by Gavin Hammon, he said something about a game, don't know which one, but at one point he did say to stay tuned about Kenny. Idk, could have been something different, but he said to keep waiting.

I don't want Kenny back because his character arc is FINISHED. Lee is gone, his family is gone, he'd be a pointless character in season 2 if he were to return. He got a heroic death, deserving of his character. If they decide to bring him back, he'll just likely die a brutal and agonizing death. Not at all what many would want.
Here's to hoping that he's dead. I don't want to see him as a zombie, so I'm holding out on the hope that the zombies ate enough of him so that he won't turn.
Hold up, I replied to Marksman. Why'd the post show up at the end of the discussion? Ah, whatever.

@zeruis I understand that, but for me I want to SEE his death. Hear the screams and everything. Does it sound bad of me? Perhaps. But it would end Kenny's arc right, and it could be a greater heroic death. In truth, Kenny's character isn't exactly done. Right where he was, when his 'redemption' moment happened, his entire personality could shift either way(I'm assuming for the better), so it's not like he'd be the same. Besides, I want a character I'm still emotionally drawn to(which is Kenny/Clem/Omid), so that the game can matter as soon as it starts. If you start off with all new characters again, you have to build everything back up. This time around, we could just jump right into the fun and death while still having build-up for other characters like the six in 400 days :P

Exactly my thoughts. I really don't want to begin Season 2 by starting all over again with a new batch of characters. Best to open with the characters we already know from Season 1, and through them get to know another set of zombie apocalypse characters. That's basically how episodes 3 and 4 of S1 unfolded.

I agree. If Telltale force us to start with a completely new character, it feels like everything we went through in the first season doesn't matter anymore. It should be someone already seen in the episodes, someone that Clementine have met and created a relationship with. For this instance, Omid.
When I said passing his corpse in a laneway that was an example, i didn't mean the scene with ben and kenny... I'm just putting it out there that it could be something as simple as that, not necessarily in savannah but maybe on the highway somewhere, another town, in the country, in a swimming pool with floaties on.... My point is you never know with Telltale so don't get your hopes up when they say things like "his fate will be explored", he could be dead just as easily as he could be living.
If he does appear in Season 2 not as a walker, I'd rather he was a side character (like Molly) than a supporting character again. Bringing him along for another 5 episodes would mean that he exists purely for fanservice, since his character arc had felt complete in Season 1, at least to me.
Unless there's a reason for him to be in Season 2, it's really time to focus on a newer cast of characters and bring back other characters who haven't had their chance to truly shine.
Agreed. If Kenny where to show up in Season Two, I'd like to see him as a character like Molly. Someone that sticks and help you when he can. But I don't want to have a long story with him again. But what I really want to be in Season Two is obviously Clementine as a main focus, but also Omid and Christa. During the final episode Clementine developed a small relationship with Omid. For instance, he get to swear but Lee don't. And I don't think they'll cut out Christa neither due to her pregnancy situation. Still, the mysterious child in the teaser image is probably a confirmed character but still no clue who it is. My theory on the figure is Adam, the Stranger's lost son which ran to the woods when the group found the Station Wagon in Episode Two. Both Clementine and Adam have lost everything; family, friends. They would be the prefect duo together with Omid and Christa.
A scenario. What if the choices you made in Season One actually do matter in Season Two. When Lee speak to Clementine for the last time, you make important choices for her to remember. One of them is to never trust strangers. If those choices have influence on Clementine in the beginning of Season Two, then Clementine will probably stay back and not make contact with the two silhouettes seen in the final cutscene of Season One. She will stay put, and meet Adam. If you didn't tell Clementine to stay away from strangers, perhaps she will make contact with them and it shows to be Omid and Christa for instance. She will later on meet Adam together with Omid and Christa. Just a speculation.
I hope they continue Season 2 directly after the events of Episode 5 and continue the story ark of Christa and Omede who arrive at the camp mentioned in "the 400 days" episode, and their racked with guilt that they never found Clementine.
I would then hope you could have the choice to play as either one and you try to organize a search party (maybe the same people from "the 400 days") retracing the events of the first 5 episodes finding out what happened to Kenny also, and I'd be hoping the game is much longer than the first.
Me personally want to play a character we already have seen in the first season. Especially someone Clementine is emotionally drawn to. In that case, it's Omid or Christa.
Why do you want to play as a character that you know things about hes nature and you need to play with hes code of nature?
it's not better to play as a brand new character that you can build? like Lee?
But it's not to play as a new character, you build a brand new character, and puts you're nature in it. but when you play a character we already have seen, and know, its diffrent.

I agree. Omid is a known character and his personality is already set (basically 'comical relief and side-kick'); Lee on the other hand was as all player characters should be an unwritten page, ready to be formed by the player.

if we cant have the Lee, i want Lee 2.
Since it's likely that Telltale is not going to use a known character as the main character at the risk of ruining their characterization in Season 1, we'll either be seeing a new character or be playing as one of the 400 Days characters.
I'm starting to wonder if the dearth of news about season 2 is because Telltale has yet to figure out who the new PC will be. On the other hand, they couldn't possibly be still trying to choose this late in the year...could they?
I wouldn't think so. Q4 is just around the corner. My guess is they're just taking time, making sure it's 101% legit before announcing anything. Season One was full with bugs and glitches.

Season 2 was planned once Season 1 was successful enough. If Telltale took this long to figure out who the next protagonist would be, then that would be a very amateur move.
It's likely they have finished Episode 1 (and is getting ready for the next episode) and is testing for any problems before it reaches gold status.
Here-here. I remember Telltale making a statement about the first episode in Season Two "starting to take shape" during Comic-Con 2013. That was a while ago. They're probably done with the first episode, but performing tests and getting the second episode ready for development.
I believe that's the most likely route they'll take for season 2 but do you believe they should stick close to the story ark of season 1 or start fresh. I've finished season 1 and 400 days (which was a fresh direction) and I don't care for new characters as I need some resolution to season 1. As far as I'm concerned they can start fresh with a season 3.

I heard Season Two will be closer to the TV-series. For the love of god Telltale hear me out. Don't turn the Clementine we know into a jackass like Carl. I want to take care of that shy, reserved, and smart little girl. I don't mind if you advance her age a year at max, and maybe make her a little more confident. But The Walking Dead will not be the same without the Clementine we once knew.
Clementine is the only child in a video game I actually want to protect.

@aerial-ballet. Nice to see Elliott Smith back.
@Mark$man. I like your thinking.
You know TellTale won't be able to resist bringing Lee back as a Walker.
And you KNOW who will be the one that has to take ZombieLee out. It's a set-up TellTale can't not-do.

That would literally have ruined my life. At least for months ahead.
You picked, literally, the worst universe to have a happy ending in.
This is The Walking Dead! Prepare your tears of utter despair for Season 2.
