  • I contacted support about this a few days ago and they responded that they're no longer allowed to sell/distribute the product. I was going to finally get into some of those while I took an mmo break and now I have to go buy them again elsewhere.

    Also, Dunk is here.

    Dunk is also missing the mouseover animations, which is really a shame since a lot of the humor came in those (especially in the early strips).

    Hopefully the Telltale website crew can sort it out at some point, since a lot of the charm of both webcomics is missing without them. :(

  • If it makes you feel any better, most of the games in The Great Adventure Bungle didn't work properly in the first place, so you're probably better off just buying them again anyways.

  • The new site doesn't host custom avatars anymore. If you want a custom avatar, you have to sign up for Gravatar, then come back here and choose your Gravatar as your TTG forum avatar.

I believe the answer is that Telltale's lawyers got nervous about potentially copyrighted pictures hosted on Telltale's servers attracting stupid lawsuits, and that by having Gravatar host the avatars, Telltale could point to them as the ones to sue. Personally, I think stupid lawsuits try to name everyone possible, so Telltale will still get sued, along with Google (for caching it), Telltale's network provider, Gravatar's network provider, the inventors of web image formats, the city of San Rafael, etc.

  • that is actually true they will sue everyone then stick with the ones that have money and ditch the rest. however i think this whole BS on not allowing anyone anyone to use a pictures is just plane stupid. its a photo get over it. all they will do is lose money over people not buying anything from them for pitching a fit over stupid shit anyway. anywho i can see why they did it so i don't blame TT for doing it. i blame the idiots of the world than only think of money and self importance.

    It's a matter of convenience on Telltale's part. Now they don't have to store any images on their servers.

    I could make a free site and have ability host pictures. Numerous websites, including MMOS. Allow you to do this. By limiting my signature you are blocking my creative development of expression.

    So in the old site there was a little column with news & updates in the TWD page. But now it's gone. Where can I see TWD updates or news from now on?

    You should see your purchase on the My Games page. At the top right section of the screen, click the dropdown arrow next to your username, then select "My Games" from the menu:

  • I had the one free episode of BTTF, which I played a little of but never finished. According to "My Games", it looks like I now have the full season. Or maybe it's just the download links, and if I actually tried to download and play episode 2, it would tell me I don't own it. I didn't try.

  • How many people worked on creating this new message board? Who are those people? Who can we contact to express our disgust over this terrible forum setup?

    I would like answers to each of those questions, please.

    I worry that we are giving our feedback to, and are only being heard by, employees who worked on this embarrassing redesign. These are not the people who need to hear our feedback. These are probably the people who are most inclined to want to perpetuate an in-house designed forum, since it jusitifies their employment and is what they're getting paid to work on.

    Hopefully things can be resolved soon, since it would be great to see this place recapture what was thrown away.

    Well, the redesign is not nice, and the absence of merchandise in store also makes me sad, however that is still bearable.

    But the the fact that serial keys for all the games bought are missing from my profile is indeed very bad thing!!
    Was it so difficult to send a warning message to all of the customers asking us to save those codes from the old site before the redesign?

    I had asked support about those keys, but I have no answer after almost two weeks!

    Telltale's online store system is tied to your Telltale account (the key system was phased out for the login/password system years ago). You won't need those keys, as all you need to do to access your games is log in with your username and password.

    I looked back in your post history and saw that some games aren't showing in your My Games list. Since this is a problem that's known to the Telltale support team, your best bet is to send a new e-mail to support@telltalegames.com explaining that your My Games page doesn't give you access to the games you purchased. This way, you will be able to download the newest versions of your purchased games that are linked to your account.

  • Jennifer, I do have all my games listed. The problem is that the login/password system works for newer games, but not for the older ones!
    Particularly, 'Strong Bad' and 'Bone' series ask for serial numbers, not for the Telltale account...

    That should work fine, but if for whatever reason that doesn't work, you can choose the manual unlock option which will give you a manual request code and you'll get an unlock code once your ownership is verified by the support team.

    That's just a field for entering serial code (after a bunch of messages saying 'script error').

    I get the full launcher on your picture with the most of games, except 'Bone' and 'Strong Bad' which give only that empty window.

    It seems like your installation could be corrupted. Try uninstalling it, re-downloading it, and then re-installing it to see if that fixes your problem.

    That issue used to pop up every now and then in the past, but i can't really search for solutions that worked back then with the limited search function we have here currently.

    You can try if disconnecting from the internet makes it show the normal window. Then you can reconnect and enter your login data.

    Also the older games depended on the installed version of Internet explorer.
    Which Windows Version do you have, and which version of Internet Explorer is installed?

    (We might have to move this to the support forums at some point)

    Jennifer, I tried that four of five times, no change.

    DjNDB, disconnecting does not work either. I have Windows 7 x64 / IE10.

    Again, out of all my games, only 'Bone' and 'Strong Bad' do this (and I have the disk version of 'Stromg Bad', so only 'Bone' is important for me). And 'Texas hold'em', which is older games as well, gives me normal launcher and runs well!

    IE 10 should be fine. It works on my system with the same windows version.

    Do you have any Non ASCII characters in your windows username?
    Either way, you can try creating a new Windows User account containing only the letters a-z in the username.

    But I found a way to see the normal launcher - by pressing F5 on that white screen!
    Strangely enough, it says:

    You're logged in! Great!
    But... you have more than one serial number for this product on your account, and we don't know which one you want to use to unlock the game.
    Please visit your My Telltale account, copy the serial number you want to use, and paste it in the Serial Number Unlock tab.

    I will try manual unlock now...

  • Well, if only I could 'visit my My Telltale account' on the old site!

    Now, on the second run it says something different:

    You're logged in! Great! But... we don't see this game on your account. How about checking out the demo? Maybe you'll want to buy it! If you did already buy this game, it might not be linked to your My Telltale account.

    Believe me, that game WAS linked to my account. And I had one serial number, not more...

    No. I got the same error. I thought it was working when I posted that screenshot (because of the Unlocking, please wait message), but I got the error afterward.

    It seems like the manual unlock method might be the only way to play the Bone games at the moment. :(

  • I can't find the official answer on this forum immediately, but it's not possible right now and IIRC this is supposed to be fixed in a future update. And although we all wish for faster updates, they are rolling out regularly (some mod tools, message edit times, edits have a time stamp, etc. is already fixed).
