Either way, we've been waiting since Season 1 ended for any news whatsoever, and it's a little disheartening to see them working on Minecraft so soon instead.

It might not have sold as well, but it had its fans, including the still fairly influential Minecraft community. So I think a second season was pretty likely.
Would I rather have another season of Borderlands or Batman? (Which FYI I think could still happen, TWAU S2 is probably dead now) Probably yeah, but I'm not minding another season of Minecraft either, because I loved the characters. Hopefully they will try and work on making a tighter overall season this time around.
Knowing Telltale, he's gonna pull an Omid/Kenny/Jane and die in the first 5 minutes. Your choices won't matter, they will force you to hook … moreup with a character you don't like, the episodes will be less than an hour long but they will be too long so Telltale will have to divide them in two parts. Plus cliffhanger ending for a sequel.
Like the whole Season 2 and 3. Season 1 was awsome, Episode 2 was the only bad one, and it wasn't bad becasue it was bad written, it was great, it just didn't have any impact to the story later. The rest of the season was a masterpiece.
I think people are more than entitled to "moan" about this, Derek. Selling a family friendly series is all well and good, but Minecraft just doesn't have any of the same narrative possibilities and excitement associated with Batman, Game of Thrones, TWAU...take your pick. Getting up on your high horse and patronizingly dismissing anyone who's understandably annoyed with this move is the fastest way to trigger a flame war around these parts.

Yeah, I'm with you. I want Rodrik/Asher to survive & to see the much-needed continuation/expansion of Gared's North Grove storyline. We can only hope they'll be kind to us and give us what they want, but after the whole Kenny/Jane situation, I suppose we can only wait and see.

GoT S2 seemed like it'd be a smart release considering the new season is near approaching and there's a ton of hype for it entering its final two seasons but okay do you Telltale.
If Telltale doesn't create a sequel to any of the games after Minecraft, and instead they decide to do a new series then I will never buy any of their new games unless it's a sequel to TFTBL, TWAU, GoT, TWD, or Batman.
I WILL play Minecraft Season 2, but if they don't start making sequels to their other titles then they are going to lose a customer. Hopefully you will all do the same.

I will play MCSM Season 2 as I did enjoy the first game quite a bit. However I am still frustrated that they have not given the confirmed Season 2 of GOT or a sequel of Tales. They even could have put more effort into the finale of ANF instead of working on Minecraft. (Which let's face it they probably were working on this alongside the finale and GOTG ep. 2.) Okay okay okay. Telltale I have been with you through thick and thin, defended you to all my friends, yet I can't help but feel things are going downhill. Minecraft already had the Adventure Pack which was basically Season 2. Game of Thrones Season 2 was the one that was set up and the one that needs it most.
I suppose they always release 2 games at the same time, so hopefully we can have faith in the other one.
They're not going to do a Tales S2 before Borderlands 3. The story of Tales is mainly dictated from where a main entry is left off unless they do a prequel.

It's frustrating to watch, it's like they are self sabotaging at this point. Not that they've ever been a stellar company but for what it was, it was good. But how did they fuck up ANF so bad? Like jesus christ they could have taken that season in any other direction and as long as Clementine as a character was a significant presence and her backstory (ie. the players previous story with her) was respected the fans would have ate basically anything up and they screwed that up in first damn episode. Absolutely awful. I have 0 faith in them at this point.

Minecraft already had the Adventure Pack which was basically Season 2. Game of Thrones Season 2 was the one that was set up and the one that needs it most.
I suppose they always release 2 games at the same time, so hopefully we can have faith in the other one.
They're not going to do a Tales S2 before Borderlands 3. The story of Tales is mainly dictated from where a main entry is left off unless they do a prequel.

It's frustrating to watch, it's like they are self sabotaging at this point. Not that they've ever been a stellar company but for what it was, it was good. But how did they fuck up ANF so bad? Like jesus christ they could have taken that season in any other direction and as long as Clementine as a character was a significant presence and her backstory (ie. the players previous story with her) was respected the fans would have ate basically anything up and they screwed that up in first damn episode. Absolutely awful. I have 0 faith in them at this point.

jk. I swear I'm not hating on Minecraft right now. I was just having a bit of fun with the fact that as much as this thread says to keep the leak here... it has been compromised.
The "leak" is 100% fake, even the Minecraft one. The person who made it just had a lucky guess.
