TFTB and TWAU likely have contract issues so Telltale can't just make a sequel as they please, GoT season 2 was confirmed just after season 1 finished but Telltale have been fairly silent about it so not much is known about its progress.
Story Mode season 2 was likely easier and quicker to make due to contracts with Mojang and success from the first season.
If it were a priority or in the works they would have made an announcement confirming it. They made a thank you statement with no mention of… more future walking dead content at all. Seeing how they have 2 series going on with potentially more projects the possibility of a walking dead installment does not look plausible anytime soon. I'm simply stating that this could be a backburner project for a unspecified time in the future.
They actually announced season 3 before season 2 episode 5 released at San Diego Comic Con (link to announcement tweet), i think they announced it before the season finished because SDCC was before the episode 5 release so i think it's possible that season 4 (or whatever comes next) could be announced at this years SDCC which is from the 20th to the 23rd of July.
Isn't one cameo enough? I mean, if they're going to do more cameos of Youtubers, why not different ones? Like, how about Yogscast Hannah constantly berating the game whilst voicing an in-game character?
Two problems with what you said:
* Even though the first Game of Thrones TV series will end soon (after the season following this one, … morewhich will be over a year from now with no known plans for what Telltale will reveal at E3), HBO has greenlit four spinoff TV series that will serve as prequels, AND there are still two more books in the series in development. They will have plenty of time to profitably release S2 of Telltale's GoT.
* MCSM is profitable because not only is it easy to make and easy to sell to children and Minecraft fans, it is also easy to port, which matters a lot considering they lost out on a lot of potential customers by not bringing New Frontier to PS3 and 360. They have to make that money back somehow, so of course they would bank on a series that sells well, and they probably get pretty good startup pay for it since Minecraft is currently owned by Micro$oft. no one here is minding another season of mincraft, I don't mind another season of MCSM, I am a big fan of the game, but I am more of disspointed than happy cause I wasn't waiting for a season 2 of a game There is no more than a year from the end of season one of this game.
People moaning about this still seem to miss the most fundamental thing about MSM... it was the only overly family friendly series Telltale … morehas done since Walking Dead came out. It might not have sold as well, but it had its fans, including the still fairly influential Minecraft community. So I think a second season was pretty likely.
Would I rather have another season of Borderlands or Batman? (Which FYI I think could still happen, TWAU S2 is probably dead now) Probably yeah, but I'm not minding another season of Minecraft either, because I loved the characters. Hopefully they will try and work on making a tighter overall season this time around.

Man, I was hoping for Tales from the Borderlands Season Two or even Game of Thrones Season Two. Well, here's to waiting until the fall for the next Telltale game.
I guess this means that Telltale's next two games on their release schedule are Guardians of the Galaxy and Minecraft: Story Mode. This means that I probably won't be playing any new Telltale Games for awhile. Time to go back and replay Tales From the Borderlands and The Walking Dead Season 1!
I know that I'm in the minority here after reading some of the comments on this thread, but I personally didn't hate Minecraft: Story Mode. That might be due to the fact that I went into the game with low exceptions, however. I ended up pleasantly surprised by the end of it. The only episode I rolled my eyes at was A Portal to Mystery (episode six). I felt that including well known Youtubers into the spooky haunted house mystery was a tad bit lame. From what I've read of season two it looks like they plan on continuing to add them into the story, which I do find disappointing.
