Game of Thrones Season 2:
While the first Season wasn't as well received as the other Telltale games (at the time), it was still a moderate success and brought in a pretty penny. This was largely due to the fact that the TV show is one of the most successful things ever to exist. But guess what? The show is ending. Telltale's chances to release their game alongside one of the most successful TV shows of all time to boost their sales by about 500% is dwindling every day. On top of all that, Season 2 has already been officially announced, so there's really no reason to waste time on things like, I don't know, Minecraft...whatever, I bet the Telltale leadership knows exactly what they're doing and why they're doing it.
The Wolf Among Us Season 2:
The game that everyone is spamming everytime Telltale posts anything anywhere. It sold almost as well as The Walking Dead Season 2, had positive reviews, ended on a cliffhanger, and a sequel is regularly demanded by fans everywhere. Bit of a bandwagon tbh, but what the hell does that matter to a company, or rather...why is that not an incentive to make use of said bandwagon to maximize sales!? Telltale knows best!
Tales from the Borderlands Season 2:
This game sold well, had overwhelmingly positive reviews and remains a fan and critic favourite to this day, with people also demanding a sequel, like with TWAU. Which of course disqualifies it from ever happening in Telltale's eyes. Though they do have an excuse here: Gearbox is currently developing Borderlands 3, and Tales was never supposed to be more than a bridge between the two latest Borderlands games. That was, however, before it became one of the most successful Telltale games ever, so I'm holding out hope that a sequel will happen. But please bring back the old writers. The humor in Guardians of the Galaxy is chuckleworthy at best and cringeworthy at worst (=almost every time). Seriously, I laughed more when Javi said "Fuck you, helicopter!" or "Do you literally eat shit all day long?" than I did at some "jokes" in Guardians. Bring back the Tales Season 1 writers for the sequel (which will, of course, happen).
Batman Season 2:
I have to admit that I'm not really sure about the general consensus on this game, but I for one enjoyed Telltale's original take on Batman a lot. Season 2 was also pretty much confirmed by the ending of Season 1 (though I guess the same can be said about TWAU and TFTB), and I don't think it did terrrible financially. Still, it's probably a bit early to expect a sequel to this.

Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2:
Remember when, in late 2014, we expected the next great game announcement from Telltale after the immense success of The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Wolf Among Us and instead got an announcement for Minecraft Story Mode? Can you remember how excited and happy everyone was? Me neither. The game was relatively successful financially (because it could be sold to a new demographic, namely Minecraft kids) and did decent enough in reviews, but was hated by pretty much everyone else, who just wanted it to end so Telltale could focus on actually worthwhile games. Obviously this meant that Telltale had to release three more episodes, after which the Telltale community's suffering finally ended. It would be truly ridiculous if Telltale would even consider making a sequel to a game no one asked for over some of their most profitable franchises, right?
So what will Telltale choose as their new series? Game of Thrones Season 2, which would do well financially if released alongside the TV show (which ends next summer)? Or a sequel to fan favourites Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us? Maybe even an underdog choice like Batman Season 2?
Let's look at Telltale's options here.

So you're telling me adults can't be mad, annoyed or frustrated and vent those emotions without it being classified as "throwing a tantrum"? Nice. The fact that you're asking makes me think you see things in black and white regarding age, even adults have a varying range of maturity. Why am I even discussing this? Can people not be frustrated with a company that keeps making poor decisions and cutting corners?
Even though the firstGame of Thrones TV series will end soon (after the season following this one, which will be over a year from now with no known plans for what Telltale will reveal at E3), HBO has greenlit four spinoff TV series that will serve as prequels, AND there are still two more books in the series in development. They will have plenty of time to profitably release S2 of Telltale's GoT.
MCSM is profitable because not only is it easy to make and easy to sell to children and Minecraft fans, it is also easy to port, which matters a lot considering they lost out on a lot of potential customers by not bringing New Frontier to PS3 and 360. They have to make that money back somehow, so of course they would bank on a series that sells well, and they probably get pretty good startup pay for it since Minecraft is currently owned by Micro$oft. It's also one of the few Telltale games that make your choices matter all throughout (alongside Tales from the Borderlands). Oh, and it's more player-friendly in terms of gender and ethnicity, so that probably increases its customer count, too.
Let's look at Telltale's options here.

Four prequels have not been greenlit, all HBO has confirmed is that five (one more added recently) spinoff's pilots are currently in early stages of writing. None have been greenlit so far, and it's unclear when and how many will actually make it to the screen. In any case, HBO has also stated that it could be years before the first prequel comes out, by which time the hype around GoT will not be as big anymore, and I doubt the spinoffs will ever be as successful as the main show or have nearly as big of an impact on potential buyers of the game. Telltale's Game of Thrones is also primarily targeted at fans of the show, since the book universe is quite different and, let's be honest, has less fans than the HBO show. On top of that, the books are currently in limbo no matter what Martin says, and it's doubtful that he's even going to finish them. Telltale's best chance is to release the second Season before the main show ends and the hype around the franchise fades, or they'll miss out on massive sales.
I guess I can't argue with the logic, but this announcement is still a massive letdown for the largest part of the Telltale fanbase.

If people want a TWAU S2, TFTB S2, GoT S2 etc. why are they posting on the Minecraft S2 thread?

Tbh I don't want telltale to do TWAU or tales 2 right now because....JUST look at what twd franchise have become because of their ongoing fuck ups in their management....let them get their shit right make silly games like guardians n minecraft then maybe...just MAYBEEEEE time was the problem of this company and they'll do these sequels justice
I personally really enjoyed the story and characters from Minecraft Story Mode, and I'm not even into Minecraft, so I'm happy that we'll be returning to that world for more adventures (cue Ivar yelling "ADVENTURE!"), although I can understand the desire to see Telltale make a second season for one of their older games or a new property over giving a game with a 4-episode DLC a new season.
I'll dispute this for Wolf Among Us. It ended on an ambiguous note with a mystery, but it's sorta like saying Inception ended on a cliffhanger for uh....spoilers. It's not really a plot thread that was put there to be followed on, but to leave in one last bit to reveal to players and have them think about the ending. Heck, Bigby can just let it be.

What would you rather happen? Everyone sit idly by while Telltale continues to destroy their own reputation or make their voices heard on the off chance that Telltale might do something about it?
If people want a TWAU S2, TFTB S2, GoT S2 etc. why are they posting on the Minecraft S2 thread?
It obviously has fallen on deaf ears elsewhere. This is just a thread that is announcing the probable reveal of Minecraft, and people are reacting accordingly. I would understand if people were going out of the way to go on the Minecraft section to complain but they're not.

They're doing, what, three games this year. With the major complaint about the first two being quality.
Now they're throwing an "easier" series in the mix. I don't think that's a bad thing.
Even with their engine, I think one game a year is a lot to focus on. Three is a bit ridiculous.
If they can go to doing one major series and one simpler series(odd short games, minecraft, poker), I think it'll benefit everyone.
Granted, I don't know how Guardians' is being perceived because I haven't seen anyone over here talk about it... at all. Which isn't usually a good thing.
I like Minecraft more thann Guardians. I couldn't get past 10 minutes of Guardians. Last time thos happened with any TT game was the first Sam and Max.

It's not really a plot thread that was put there to be followed on, but to leave in one last bit to reveal to players and have them think about the ending. Heck, Bigby can just let it be.
I'm starting to think Clementines story may get the game of thrones treatment after seeing the current rumors.
What would you rather happen? Everyone sit idly by while Telltale continues to destroy their own reputation or make their voices heard on the off chance that Telltale might do something about it?
It obviously has fallen on deaf ears elsewhere. This is just a thread that is announcing the probable reveal of Minecraft, and people are reacting accordingly. I would understand if people were going out of the way to go on the Minecraft section to complain but they're not.
Nevermind. I'm sorry for saying "they have a tantrum", I realise that that sounds rude.
This argument is kinda going nowhere. I understand that not everyone likes Minecraft Story Mode, and that many people have been waiting on other sequels for far longer.
Some people like MC:SM, so try not to ruin it for them.
So much salt on the forum these days
That's not why people are whiny they whiny because it's not been a whole year since MCSM ending and it's now getting a 2nd game probably in fall yet people have been waiting a long time for a season 2 to TWAU, TFTBL, GoT.
I haven't been on the forums for awhile, I should check in and see wha...
Not really in response to anyone, but a thought:
Interesting take on the situation.

Welcome to the club of fucking dones, then.
They have officially announced season 2
