Louis playing with a corpse and doing nothing productive and then getting lonely if clem doesn't play with the corpse with him but instead d… moreecides to do something productive says something about his character. And violet's morbid question and her getting upset pales in comparison to louis corpse play and how louis feels if clem doesn't play with the corpse with him.
She's had a crush on Clem since the moment she saw her. I'm not denying Violet has a crush on Clem, it's very obvious. That doesn't mean I have to like her.

And Violet is even worse than I thought she was I don't know that I'mma be able to like her in episode 2. I was even being nice with her instead of confrontational but she's such a brat that argues with every little damn thing Brody says. I thought by doing the fishing I was gonna like her a tad bit better because everyone seems to love her but I'm even more confused by that. And damn, Brody has really broken my heart!
I guess she's being kinda rude to people like Brody for no reason, I mean Brody tries to forget about the apocalypse for a minute by fantasizing about what she'd want to do now, but Violet then immediately dislikes it and express annoyance towards it, and responds to Brody's imaginations in pessimistic way as if everything is hopeless at this point. Also, when Louis tells her she had B performance, I mean it's not like Louis has bad intentions or anything, why immediately take it so personal by telling him to fuck off and show middle finger??
I mean I understand she's lost her loved ones and she's depressed because of that, but, when Clementine too had fresh wounds from losing close people, she wasn't rude to anyone for no reason and she wasn't hopeless.

I totally agree with you, but in reading what you said, I actually wonder if she would spread the Jane lone wolf energy? Because she, like Clem, are taking care of a little one, Tenn, (not lone wolf) and she is apart of a community where she found love (Minnie), and so whose to say what she was like before her love was taken... I guess you could say the same for Jane... I think if anything I personally want Violet as an ally because great minds think alike and though it might not be as funny and romantic, it would be nice to have an ally that I could count on. Not that Louis isn't like that, I just feel like I haven't seen as much of a deeper layer from him.
Clementine is different than Violet - she's looking for a happy peaceful life, I don't see how Violet is going to give her that. I pick Clem… more's partner based on who's more suitable for her. I feel Violet would just spread that Jane type lone wolf philosophy. And what do they have in common? Sad past? Everyone has sad past. Difference is Violet is just that person that doesn't believe in good life, I can't take her negative energy. Literally ONLY reason why people like Violetine is because Violet in a cliche way magically decides to wanna talk to Clem unlike other newcomers. And that ain't gonna buy my Clem.

Violet was minding her own business and louis starts with her by comparing her and clem. He gave violet a bad score then lowered it then gave clem a higher score and then an even higher score then went back to starting with violet. Louis calls clem and violet delusional if clem complements violet. He was being obnoxious, disrespectful, and was sucking up to clem.

I don't see it that way. I see it as a guy who was trying to impress the new girl at another's expense. When he didn't have to go about trying to impress the new girl in that way. And louis should know not to start with violet but she doesn't think he's funny. Nor is she amused by his antics. But hey new girl who cares about how others feel?
Because she is a buzzkill, a downer. Sure she’s going through stuff but who’s to say Louis isn’t? Or Clem? The reason Violet is compared to Molly or Jane is because she’s the cliche sad, loner, blonde girl and as much as I like her, it’s a bit annoying to see the same stuff recycled.

She's not like that all of the time and it's not as simple as she's going through stuff. There's more to violet then her being sad, a buzzkill, a loner, and a blonde girl. She actually engages clem and she's pretty talkative. She likes kids and can smile. She's protective and brave. She's sentimental. She has a serious side. And she's strong. People deal with things differently, cope with things differently, and take longer time to deal with things they went through and are going through. Violet lost a close friend and a lover, blames herself for what happened, couldn't say goodbye, gets remided of who was lost every time she tried to talk to brody, and then there's tenn who also reminds violet of who she lost. Louis lost marlon but violet lost brody and they were just starting to rebuild their relationship. Flirting, being positive, not taking things seriously, making jokes, and playing with a walker is all the "depth" louis has shown.

Yeah, and Louis copes with humor. Honestly both Violet and Louis are kind people and very diverse characters and I understand the love for both. But we literally don’t know much about anything about their pasts or what they’ve gone through so

It just irks me when people are like violet's just a loner buzzkill who's a cliché lone wolf type character that's a molly and jane clone. And the only traits about her is that she's a lesbian with blonde hair. It's fine that louis copes like that but violet isn't one dimensional or cliché. It's like those people are ignoring the emotions violet shows and don't pay attention to what she says and how she says it. They see louis and he's this non serious positive dude who tells joke and flirts. It's there for all to see and hear. With violet there's expressions and dialogue that shows different feelings and emotions. It isn't obvious. You have to pay attention to it and her.

People have their own opinions and I do respect that.
I actually really like her outlook. I don't think there is anything wrong with having low exceptions and being pragmatic, it allows positive situations to feel a lot better, and it's very good from a survivalist standpoint.
That's actually exactly how I play Clem, I am pragmatic and cautious, I am open about the risk of people dying and try to get people to understand they should always be prepared for that risk, I make sure AJ doesn't set his expectations too high, and I don't get overly idealistic and excitable.
But, I am sympathetic, favour negotiation, am open to positive relationships and bonding, I am very open about my past, I don't hide information from friends and the kids, and I try and see the best in the other survivors and act kind.
Violets morbid question isn't entirely unreasonable, in a world like this, you need to have a realistic outlook, and expect negative things to occur so you don't get yourself hurt. That doesn't mean you can't be kind to others and bond, but it also means being honest. I think she got upset because of the "probably" remark, if Clementine answered her sincerely like she did with Marlon, she likely wouldn't have been offended.
I also appreciate her skepticism and criticism early on about the car crash, I feel Louis is almost too open and trusting, it is important to have hesitation about new survivors, my Clem totally understands that, and I think it is completely fine for her to have concerns.
When clem laughs and smiles when violet says not like louis, though...she had actual talent you can see violet's expression change to a little smile while previously her expression was sad because she was talking about sophi and mini. Then when violet says she's not exactly like a people person then goes on to say I know I sometimes have a habit...have a habit of being a little too harsh. If clem says you come off all right. I thought you were pretty cool violet's expression goes from sadden again to one of surprise and clem has a smile on her face the entire time she says that dialogue. Then violet says thanks then complements clem. Clem was also smiling when violet was talking about mini the clem's expression changed when violet was telling her what happened to sophi and mini and why everything was removed from the walls. Clem showed sympathy for violet.

I just find it immature to sit there and talk about someone behind their backs like she did to Brody. Literally as soon as Clem walks up to her she goes off saying Brody is obnoxious then mocks her for just trying to brighten the mood. It was ridiculous and to sit there and basically argue with everything she was saying before that, just for the sake of it? How is any of that appealing? I don't care if she was in pain there was nothing okay about how she treated that girl. I seriously felt like Violet needed to apologize instead of Brody.
Exactly. Just because she's sad and depressed because she lost her loved ones doesn't mean she can be rude(but nice towards Clementine just because she has a crush on her)

He gave her a b+ then told her you've done better. That's when violet told louis to f off. Louis didn't have to say anything to violet. Louis runs to catch up to clem the he starts with violet and starts to put her and clem against each other. He tells violet to do better after he gives clem an then an a+. Louis could've just left violet alone but he decided not to.
I find it immature for louis to run up to clem then bother and annoy violet just in an attempt to get some bonus points for clem then belittle violet by telling her to do better. Brody was right across from violet and clem. Brody couldn't hear what they were saying but it wasn't behind brody's back. Violet's dialogue: sometimes she just gets on my last nerves, you know? I mean it's not like I hate her...I just..."I wish we could all go on a road trip together" god she's so...ugh. I don't know what the problem is between us. With brody...I don't know why it's like this. Why is it so weird? I could never relax around her. It just keeps getting worse. I wanted to talk to brody to tell her I didn't her for what happened. But every time I tried I was reminded of who we lost. It was easier to just not talk about it. And when they're walking back violet tells brody were she'd want to go and briefly smiles then brody replies with yeah that would be cool. And brody is shown smiling.

But her tone changes after she talks to clem and during her talk with clem you find out why she was rude. It doesn't give her a right to be mean but she wasn't mean for no reason and she doesn't stay mean.
Exactly. Just because she's sad and depressed because she lost her loved ones doesn't mean she can be rude(but nice towards Clementine just because she has a crush on her)

Yeah.... it keeps getting worse because Violet seriously won't shut up and try and just get along. It's not hard, she was intentionally being a brat. I don't understand how she could be like 'I don't know why it's like this.' Really? She doesn't know? Hey, maybe if she tried being nice it wouldn't be a problem.
Not to mention there wasn't even a point that Brody decided 'I've had enough' and fought back, so Violet had every opportunity to play nice. She really needed Clem to tell her to be nicer? Really? She couldn't figure that on her own? Didn't realize she was the problem? And yeah, it was behind her back. She couldn't hear it, if someone's talking about you while your not in the vicinity to hear it, it's talking behind your back. If your dissing someone and assume they can't hear, even if they managed to get close enough to hear it, it's talking behind your back.
At least when Luis was talking smack about Violet he had the guts to do it to her face. Not to mention he was kidding around with her. Luis doesn't have a problem with Violet, he even told Clem that 'she grows on you,' which I can't see how for the life of me. So he's not legitimately trying to mean just teasing her.

Because of how violet felt and was feeling. It didn't make it right but she was having problems with brody and it showed in her attitude and behavior. Violet's mood changed after her and clem talked.
Maybe if you were going through what violet was going through you'd be able to take your own advice but not everyone could just do that and for you it wouldn't be hard to do that but that doesn't apply to everyone. And louis wasn't going through what violet was. He had no deep problems with violet like what violet had with brody. So of course it would be easy for him to say how he felt. And him saying that wasn't guts it was more so to compare clem and violet and say clem was better just to try and be in clem's good graces. It's like you're completely downgrading what violet was going through and pretending like it's not a big deal. Maybe for you but not for violet. Louis was just being a try hard by flirting with a girl he just met.

We actually don't know what Luis has gone through or lost. And his plan was to get in her good graces so he insulted Violet? No one would think that'd work, he was messing with her because he's known her long enough to feel comfortable in doing that. I've seen Violet mess with him too so its not just him.
And while losing a girlfriend is sad its no excuse to treat people badly. Its okay to be sad about it and if that's all it was I'd feel for her, but its not all it is. She's being a brat. Its one thing if someone is truly responsible for someones death but as far as Violet knows its as simple as Brody wasn't able to save her girlfriend, not that she was responsible or didn't try but that she couldn't save her.
And okay its Violet's girlfriend so she's feeling it a bit more than the others, but they are ALL feeling it. Those girls were a part of the group, their all sad about it and going through it. Its not just Violet. So for her to make someone feel crappy over even the simplest conversations is just wrong because Brody would be grieving too. And she didn't stop to think it'd be hard for someone knowing they couldn't save those people and having to live with that? So she goes and makes it harder for them?
Tenn lost two sisters and he's not treating Brody poorly.

I don't think Violet is dwelling on the situation harshly as much as you project, though.
Brody's words got onto her nerves because she simply lost her friend and gf and basically she couldn't get over it. Yeah, some of us respond the pain by being harsh, using it as disguise; it was hard for her to move on from this. She was complaining but it wasn't even a genuine complain and even she knew it. It's not even that she hated Brody. And even Brody understood her reasons.
Violet's character development is all on Clementine. As she is bringing Vi's softer side. In later chapters, we'll grow more on her.

Violet told him to fuck off before Louis lowered it and before he compared her to Clem.
And what about Brody? Clem and Brody are enjoying the talk about where they would go right now, but Violet is annoyed and rude towards Brody.
Yeah.... it keeps getting worse because Violet seriously won't shut up and try and just get along.
Well, that's a lot of pressure to put on Clem
