How high do we think the View count on the TMI discussion section will get? It's 172 now, which is 3 times what it was an hour ago.

Ooh, I do love returning home and remembering a new Telltale episode comes out today.

Ooh, I do love returning home and remembering a new Telltale episode comes out today.
It'll probably be tomorrow (GMT), or at least after 9pm, due to it being an afternoon release this time.

Heh, I'm tired of using my fingers counting back and forth the time difference between here and there so I just picked one of my clocks and set it to PST. :D

Ah...well I did skip dialogues and cutscenes as much as possible for my speed run. But I beat it [(The Secret of Monkey Island)] in 59 minutes.

Just an update on this. I did a playthrough whilst running HyperCam and beat it in 1 hour, 16 minutes, 56 seconds. I did mess up at a couple of points and I for some reason wasn't able to turn up the text speed. But I'm converting the nearly 3 GB file now to a smaller resolution (I ran it at 3x with ScummVM) and then uploading. Not quite the "under an hour" I promised, but I guarantee you it's possible to cut down on the time I just did.

I know!! There definitely seems to be a "major event" feeling about the release.

Holy jumping mildly roasted turkey weenies! Still not beaten the 07/07 record, though.

And it'll only get larger during the hours until it finally releases (assuming "afternoon pacific" from the blog ends up being accurate).

Here's hoping we always get to see numbers like this from now on when it comes to Telltale's games, eh. :D

I thought I should leave a comment to mark this monumentus gathering of Monkey Fans, rather then just sitting silently.

I feel like we got here awfully quickly though; why it seems only yesterday I was dancing around the house in hysterics about the sudden bombardment of Monkey Island.

But now, here we are, ready for the last part!

    The monkeys are listening...

It was fast. Why when the series debuted I had just graduated and I was loaded down with long hair and a girlish figure. Now I'm more muscular and I have a beard growing.....hey wait a minute....why does that seem familiar.

When I first played Monkey Island I was 6. I really hope to be there when the chapter will be released. It's like being a child again.

The only thing more awesome than this release is having SO MANY other fans to share it with... I am ridiculously happy right now. :D

It does make you feel good doesn't it!

I feel the same whenever I meet someone who has played the original MI's in day-to-day life. You may never have met them before, but now they are a best friend!

Fresh bananas for the whole crew!!!

Tee hee! Here's to all the Monkey jokes we make every day, only to get blank looks from everyone around.

Oh golly oh gawsh, I hope it is released before midnight. I'd gladly stay up as long as it takes to complete.

No rush though! If it takes another day to make it better, that another day I shall happily wait.

If it makes any better than already is (which I don't think is possible) then I could wait another YEAR.

Well, maybe not a year. Maybe a month. Maybe a week. Maybe a day.

    Well, I could wait.

    Ha!

Anyway, lets get a little discussion going: What has been your favourite moment in this season? Mine has to be the singing manatee, or the giddy excitement i got at 11.01 on the 16th July, when i downloaded the wiiware version of Ch1.

    The game being announced.

    The game coming out.

    The IWWH videos.

Meeting all of these cool people.

Meeting Dave Grossman, Dominic Armato, and in an unrelated way Bill Tiller.

    All the fanart.

    Jake's dancing video.

    Reliving my favorite MI memories.

    All the speculation.

Getting to voice act Guybrush in a fangame, even if it doesn't sound anything like Guybrush. :D

    Playing the game.

I really liked Ch.3 and Ch.4 They felt more like the puzzling MI games of the old days. There's also been some excellent gags in the series that have had me laughing out-loud; the humour of the whole series has been excellent and far more reminiscent of the original humour then MI 4 was.

But I reckon my favourite part was just seeing the animation they've used. Although 3D it just seems to fit the MI games so well; I may go as far as to say this is my favourite iteration of Guybrush thus far...

If i was to be completely new to the franchise, i would probably say the same. But Curse (and even Escape) Have a strong nostalgia factor attatched to them for me.
