gee, try crossover games, which takes up barely any space on your harddrive.

on second thought, dont try crossover games, but normal crossover, it wont work in CGame

I voted for Wallace and Gromit. My second favourite series. But i'm glad to see there is some serious competition between Strongbad and Sam&Max.

Also, i love the small details on the posters!

I can't help it, I had to vote for the hyper-active rabbit.

So what happens if they end up tied? (which they are now)
  • edited February 2010
    I hope it means both

They might be tied in percent, but as far as vote numbers go, they might not be. If that's the case there would still be a winner.
If it's a complete tie, well, I have no clue.

    Then again, I dont own a Mac:D
I just want to be in the credits but still
    VOTE STRONG BAD

It would be funny awful if there was a tie and TTG decided to renounce their offer to make a Mac compatible game because we couldn't properly elect a winner.

It would be even worse if the final vote that tied them up was by Steve Jobs.

Go ahead, throw your vote away! :kang:
  • edited February 2010
But wouldn't it be hilarious if right before the poll ended Wallace and Gromit suddenly shot to first place overnight and stayed there. I think that might actually cause a riot.

I voted for W&G because I felt sorry for it.

Yes, with a 6% vote, it almost seems a waste.

I don't own a Mac, but I voted anyways. Haaven't played a game on a Mac computer since the old Mac 128k. The graphics were suprisingly good.

I see SBCG4AP is in the lead by 5% or so. I forgot to...remember. The W&G number was so low I couldn't forget it.

This whole vote and slogan thing would be even more exciting if you could change your vote if you change your mind. Then everything could change at any time.

I think it would be more exciting if there were fire-eaters and sword-swallowers involved. And a car chase with Sam and Max in the de Soto gunning down Strongbad in the Gremlin after he stole the sourcecode for the Macification machine so he could make sure SBCG4AP was the first series to be available on the apply computers!

    But that's just me.

Well, since Telltale hasn't released any system requirements yet, I would say there is a good chance your 26-year-old mac could run the new games!

Ooh, how cool would it be if there were sword-swallowers eating swords that were on fire?

    ...

    Yeah, pretty cool.

And growing, by the looks of it.

    Yayyyyyyyy! Thanks Telltale.

Being Playing Sam and Max on the XBOX 360 and as funny as the game is the game is a little bit more difficult to control using a controller. Thankyou for releasing the New Monkey Island and eventually all your major past games onto Mac. Finally us Mac users can experience these games in their full point and click adventure game glory!

Getting ready to spend what little money remains in my bank account on these releases , thank god its soooo sooo worth it!!!

I voted for Tales of Monkey Island! :P
  • edited February 2010
I have played all Sam & Maxes, but none of the Strong Bads. Still I vote for Sam & Max.

    Weird.

(in case anyone wonders, I have also played all Wallace & Gromits, too)

I must admit I hadn't even heard of Strong Bad before seeing the game here.

    Insanity!

Agreed total insanity, the only thing that could make it worse was if you never heard of Full Throttle

To get off the topic of me and not knowing many cool games before telltale, i would like to say
    9% lead for strong bad:D:D:D
  • edited February 2010
Strong bad's in the lead! yay!

I'm sure Strong Bad is a fine property, but I wish Sam & Max were still winning. Like many, I wonder if this poll represents what Mac users want, or simply what mass voters from a fanatic based fansite want. It'd be like asking 4-chan or SomethingAwful.com users to vote on world peace or a game about 4-chan or Somethingawful.com. We would not have world peace.

On the bright side, now that I'm about to make my Monkey Island for Mac purchase I don't have anything to buy for a while. I already own nearly everything, so maybe the Strong Bad thing is a sign that I should save some cash for the next season of Sam & Max.

Either way, this is awesome news for a long time Mac user--I'm glad I won't have to boot into my windows partition nearly as often.

I did notice that homestarrunner.com is fishing for votes for the Mac version. I think that has a lot to do with the way the voting went as probably people who had no interest in the game on either Mac or PC probably just want Strong Bad to be better known. Having said that, I do actually like both Strong Bad and Sam and Max, but lean a little more toward Sam and Max.
  • edited February 2010
    My reasons are totally selfish.

One: I already own Sam & Max seasons 1 and 2 but do not own Strong Bad, so I would prefer to get to use the product I already have on my primary system. I'm not kidding when I say I dragged out my old retail copy of XP from years ago just to install stuff from TellTaleGames.com (although I now also play games from www.gog.com).

Two: As one of the many Mac owners who waited patiently, I would like to think the Mac gamers voice is being heard. Thankfully there are real problems in the world, but it's a little bit of a burn to have someone say, "Mac users, we're making games for you and now it's your choice--so lets ask everyone what they'd like even though you guys are a much smaller subset and will be overwhelmed by popular opinion that may not have anything to do with the will of the actual Mac gamer!"

That entire sentence was said with a lot of excitement. Still, I think maybe they could have had a vote done by letting people running OSX vote. I've seen plenty of sites that know I'm using OSX, it could have worked. Maybe even just a Safari only voter system.

It's not that I want to somehow marginalize Windows users here--and I could be totally wrong and Strong Bad may be beloved by more Mac users than I'm aware of. Still, I'd like to know that the Mac user voice is being heard.

Then again, this wonderful people did give us Monkey Island first--so who can really complain? It's not like I'm dying of anything immediate. I'll probably still be alive when they release Sam and Max, so I'm gonna just sit here and enjoy stuff as it comes.

That does not mean that when I'm procrastinating before my night class that I won't make an elaborate post about it so that I don't have to read an essay on craft.
