"Adam Sessler interviewed CEO Dan Connors about all things Sam & Max, and he'll be "telling tales" soon in an exclusive video. Apparently, some more big Telltale news is happening in a couple of days."

Speculation? New franchise announcement? New platform announcement?

    Maybe...something will be announced.

    I'd say that's quite likely.

I'm guessing a release date for Sam and Max Season 3. Maybe an announcement of the post-Sam and Max series if we're lucky.

I would be so happy, and by happy I would buy 2 preorders. But that is the most logical decision.

Come now, we all know what the mostly likely news is going to be.

    futurama.jpg

    Futurama: The Adventure Game!

And this isn't just wishful thinking my friends. I know what I'm talking about. I'm talking sciencey here, so you know I have to be right.

If it's not Futurama, Telltale can bite my shiny metal* ass.

I'll never get this expression. As far as I'm concerned, no, you can't bite my ass. Especially not if I'm annoyed with you. This expression just makes no sense. I mean, even as far as expressions go.

Such an experience would be extremely unpleasant for everyone involved. Besides, jp-30, you're a Telltale moderator. You aren't allowed to bite your own ass.

Well then, can I put my foot in my mouth?

Perhaps he'll be telling more tales of Monkey Island? Seems to me the obvious next step.

Or, why not, let's just make that the tales of Indiana Jones :D Anyone seen any fedora's lying around?

maybe its pie I hope its pie
  • edited February 2010
I'm picking a new franchise announcement.

Edit: Pies would be good though. Aus/NZ meat pies though, not this 'american' fruit pie thing.

American Pie: The Adventure Game? With a Stiffler's Dance Moves mini-game? Designed for the Wii? I hope not.

Band camp would be fun, though.

Are you guys sure the news isn't just related to the coming Sam & Max announcements and the winner of the Mac competition announcements? Unless this second mysterious series is going to be running (partly) alongside Sam & Max (which I can't imagine, Telltale isn't that big), the next series is pretty likely to be some six months away. I can remember comments on the forum about Telltale regretting announcing Wallace & Gromit so soon (they thought the game would be out sooner), and that the Monkey Island-tactic (announcing the game one month before release) worked out great for them. I just can't see them announcing two new games at once, not at this point in the company's history. If the 'big Telltale news' is anything other than Sam & Max-related, I think it simply has to do with porting the new Sam & Max/older titles to new platforms or something.

I'm not trying to be a party pooper, but I think you guys are setting yourself up for a major disappointment this way. And there's absolutely no reason for that, because hey, Sam & Max is right around the corner!

I hope there will be tea.

jp-30, you are a big boy now; don't come running to me with every little problem! And Laserschwert, don't think I'm not watching you!

Hmm ... do you think "big news" could have something to do with that forum we're not allowed to touch? The one in the Sam and Max section? *gasp!* If they have a pre-order special, do you think it'll come with a free case file?!

Well, it's a Season 3 case file. You can fill it up with all the great stuff you experience while playing the episodes.

Oh, DjNDB! You'll spoil me! :p Here, I've got on for you, too.
