Thinking about it, there aren't actually that many "Nice!" and "I'm not holding the..." lines (Dominic's been through worse), so I would've thought they would record each and every one of them, regardless of whether they make gramatical sense. :D Or at least, that's what I'm hoping. :p

    "I'm not holding the _______!" That's it!
I suppose the main problem with voiceovers would be the optional 9999 Bottles song, which could quite easily just be removed if it proves too problematic. I think someone on the board made the comment that they'd only need to record 25 words, but it may sound kinda clunky.

Oh and by the way, lucasarts said on their twitter that this is their last week of backgrounds, and they're moving onto characters next week!

I'm excited for characters.... I hope we see Kate, and I am dying to see if they chance stan or re-use the same art.

Hey, is it my 15 minutes of fame already?

you're an inspiration to us all Apenpaap

I don't see why they wouldn't record all of the "nice" lines. There can't be that many. And the fact that most of them don't make grammatical sense is what makes it so hilarious - it's flagrant laziness for comedic effect at its very best :p

Damn it, they're not looking at LeChuck in the original either, I didn't notice this flaw in the game, damn High Resolution graphics bringing out the faults! :p

It's an in-browser version of the SoMI SE. Kind of nifty, but my internet connection is more than a bit too slow to enjoy the demo.

Don't get your hopes up. It looks like he's leaning back slightly in the newer pic which means it's probably just a frame from his talking animation where he bobs back and forth.

I think its safe to say that their next SE project is going to be Maniac Mansion after listening to that podcast. A Harder version too.

Oh God... the last thing MM needs is to be harder. Yes, I'm a wuss, I like adventure games where you can't die.

So they're going to add idle animations and have the sky change just so nothing's static? Great!

when do they start talking about MI in that pod cast.... I do not want to listen to them go on and on about other stuff.
  • edited April 2010

I listened to the whole thing T_T

So did I. I usually listen to the Giant Bomb podcast... in comparison, the OXM one sounds like a painfully fake Sunday morning radio show (well, maybe it's not that bad, but still :p)
