Team Fortress 2 doesn't even have a plot, so most of the violence is completely unnecessary and random.

    oh but it does...

Also party mode's funny, and then it gets old like Elvenmonk says. The preset gore's harmless and funnier

Not going to lie, getting kind of irritated with people always asking about my Sam&Max items.

I just tell them "I play on TellTale's server. Do you?"

    It is very annoying.

Well lets see, according to the poker night forums, we will have a new visor for the heavy sometime tomarrow.

Along with the new weps later on.

Now that my Max's pistol isn't as rare (as some people pre-ordered on like 10 accounts) I'll be happy to not be bugged to trade with it anymore. However, I kinda of hope they give all of us original owners a "vintage" one. :P

I have recently learned that my dad does not want me to play shooting games because he doesn't want me to get ideas about going on killing sprees and the like. Which means I can't buy Team Fortress 2. I don't blame him. Team Fortress 2 doesn't even have a plot, so most of the violence is completely unnecessary and random.

Still, this makes me sad. :(

Though I am usually not a fan of shoot'em'up games (a preference, not a moral issue) TF2 is my favorite game. Tied with Pacman.

Just turn on party mode. NO blood, just confetti.

It's not really the gore that bugs him; it's the idea that I'm shooting (virtual) people for fun.

yeah I just try to avoid mentioning that TellTale has a server.

    @DJ, you're currently playing Borderlands....

Team Fortress 2 doesn't even have a plot

Team Fortress 2 has a plot! In the 19th century, business man Zepheniah Mann buys large chunks of the world. When he dies, he leaves his company, Mann Co, to his Australian aide Barnabus Hale and all his land to his two sons, Redmond and Blutarch. The sons use their vast resources to create two huge holding companies and immediately hire mercenaries to seize the other's land, but are met by stalemate.

Following the Engineer's ancestor building immortality machines for both, the conflict comes into the 1960s, continued by TF Industries' Administrator - descendent of Zepheniah Mann's servant - working both RED and BLU against each other, while Saxon Hale has inherited Mann Co and profiteers from the conflict. The endless cycle continues.

There. Its a plot. Of sorts.

EDIT: And I just realised this has already been posted above. Way to go with reading the thread, me.

I never bought the whole 1960's crap. They never had a lot of what's in the game then. I'm fine with them saying it's like the year 2020 or something and they never upgraded their buildings due to the war.

My parents were always alright with that while I understand is VIRTUAL people and everything that happen there is not real and cannot be possible in real life. Considering I'm a girl and I had play Resident Evil 4 in front of them. And my dad actually liked the game.

They light themselves on fire and charge at you yelling things like "strip the flesh, salt the wound!", "I'm gonna skin ya, put on your face, and say Hi to your momma!", and "You remind me of my mother... I ate her." among other things. :p

It's more like a 1960's vision of the future when it comes to the technology, all we need are a few hovercars on automatic pilot and people travelling in tubes and it's complete

In case there's people here who don't read the TF2 blog, the TF2 item servers will be down on Tuesday, November 9th from:
1pm PST until at least 2:30pm PST
4pm EST until at least 5:30pm EST
9pm GMT until at least 10:30pm GMT
(these are the same times, but in different time zones)

During that time, you won't be able to access Backpacks, Loadouts, Crafting, Trading, or the Mann Co. Store.

EDIT:I feel wierd I was jsut talking about how stupid item collecting is, then go nuts for an ellis cap and traded a lot of stuff. Of course none of it I cared about thankfully

So yeah, I did a crazy thing. I traded my Max hat for Poker Night at the Inventory, Bills hat, and all of the Halloween hats. And it wasn't a scam. Funny thing, the guy also offered me his girlfriend, no joke, but I wouldn't take her.

    Hahahahahaha.

The Max hat was just getting to be a pain in my ass. People kept pestering me for it. And I cared more about getting the Halloween achievement, two rare hats, and Poker Night - where I can get a nice Freelance Police badge to make up for the Max hat - instead of hoarding the hat.

I wasn't fond of trading a Max hat to a guy who already had one(and apparently at some later point traded it away according to his backpack). Not that surprising, considering it was a fella who essentially combed the Telltale group for people who had the hat. That was...that was dedication, sure, but the sad, embarrassing, and maybe a bit creepy kind of dedication. =P

Oh, and I don't trade with people who try to convince me that they're Team Fortress 2 programmers. XD

I understand your frustration, Max's severed head is a source of unspeakable(psychic) power, and it must be studied. But after some time floating around the speculator's market, it will eventually end up in a warehouse with 50 or so of its brethren, and it will be taken care of by top men.

I don't think Mr. Dorkan really knows how much I appreciate what he's done. I must have him over to my place sometime and have a nice discussion with him about Huey Lewis and the News.
