My Steam ID is Remolay, of course.

But apparently there are two Remolays on Steam, I am the one with the You're DOOMED! Avatar

Say does it take more to run TF2 than it does to run Half life 2.
Im trying to check the demo of half life 2 to see if my comp will run it before I buy andything and well, it aint working out well for me.
  • edited November 2010
Yeah due to the new items it does. VALVe's TF2 team didn't do a good job on keeping the new weapon's models down and such that it's killer on the proccy. It's now suggested to use L4D's min to play the game. If you play with HL2's settings you'll be able to run it fine aslong as you keep it to 12 people max and minimal soldiers/demos [I know this because I just got off a compy who was at HL2 rec settings to play TF2]

Nah, HL2: Episode 2 might run a but laggier than TF2, but the other HL games'll run better than TF2 more than likely. HL2 at least'll run far better

Hm wonder what the problem is, Ill try uninstalling and reinstalling the demo.
Nope its taking a half an hour for gman(not me) to start up the first scene.
He is going Rarararararararararararsssssssssssssssssananananananananananananananananananddddddddd shishishswhshishishishsishishis mrmrmrmrmrmrmrmrmrmrmmr freefreefreefreefreefreefreefrreee manamamamananamamam and freezes at his face in black and white.

try disabling multi core rendering, if you're proccy's single core, and some of the other options. I had to play HL2 on med everything.

So, the new items are now in TF2, even though they can't be unlocked yet.

Also, yay for the return of the old Uber-saw taunt, but on the Vita-saw instead.

Also, new team-colored paint can! :D

Say I was looking aroung the tf2 forums for a laugh, but then I noticed something about vintage lugermorphs. As in they are real now. I really dont want to load it up right now for it is late, but are there vintage lugermorphs now?
  • edited November 2010

If I can trade my vintage lugormorph to get my fiance an Max hat, it's worth it.

Are the vintage lugermophs the ones you got for preordering/ordering the season the week it came out? If so, oh dear....
  • edited November 2010
Is anyone else getting the weird 4GB update?
  • edited November 2010
    No. That's just you.

Edit: about the Lugers: why would they do it. I could not believe it until I saw it in Ringmasters backpack.
  • edited November 2010
They did the vintage lugers because the SPUF whined.

Also, the Iron Curtain can be crafted.
  • edited November 2010
    i have now bought tf2
  • edited November 2010
Anway, the moment someone asks about my "Vintage" Lugermoph, my response will be NO! No one has bugged me yet thankfully, but it will happen, it will happen...
  • edited November 2010
I'm honestly glad they put in Vintage Lugermorphs. It's nice for the loyal Sam & Max fans instead of people who just bought Poker Night for the items.

Though I do wish there was a way to turn off outside trading so only your friends could trade you.

So... Is there a point to the 'vintage' version? Or is it exactly the same with the word 'vintage' added? Either way, I'll be keeping mine, I'm just curious really.
  • edited November 2010
Vintage is a label to make people make fools of themselves.
  • edited November 2010
Good to know. Also somewhat stange imo.

    Vintage items are "rarer."

Basically, all items that are available now have their older items named Vintage and with a different item color name (blue instead of yellow).

I'm still keeping my entire set of Vintage items, just so I can say "HA! I've got 30 vintage items!" or such.

What about the non-fans that bought Season 3 only for the items?

right. I am about to craft all my vintage-items once I got new replacements from the drop system.
I don't like the blue colour of the name and I really don't want to read or hear the word VINTAGE ever again.

I think yesterday, was my best game yet with a heavy.
  • edited November 2010
    Remove Vintage.

True, but there aren't as many seeing as Sam and Max was $35 and this is only $5.

I dunno about Vintage, but I hear the regular Crit-a-Cola has a bugged drop rate... that is to say, it's not dropping at all.

It had the same drop rate as a hat. So it was not dropping at all.
