Some weapons become really useless; they should've done a few quick changes. Maybe double the effects on weapons? Blut could heal +6hp a hit, Black Box 30, Backburner deals +30 damage etc.

Actually, I think that would defeat the point of the experiment. They want to test their preconceived notions about what extra health means. If they tried to make extra changes beyond that, it would make it harder to see the effects. If they think it's worth finding out more, I imagine they'll try tweaks, but I'm guessing they'll just move on to another test instead.

Just got my first friend request from someone who wanted my sam and max set.

I actually have had him for a bit, and I noticed what happens when I loaded tf2, one time I loaded it up saw him go on and then logged off and he logged off.

And today while replaying sam and max, he messaged me asking for the set.

At least he asked once and after I said no he quit.
EDIT: "f I added you it probably means I want to trade Team Fortress 2 items" that is his profile.

I love the fact. You know how many times I would have died because some idiot wants to spy check me 10 times in a row. WHILE I AM USING MY WEAPON OR TAUNTING!

That's because everyone's used to that now. In TFC there wasn't a lot of spy checking due to this. If friendly fire was with the game from launch there wouldn't be constant spy checking. Hell, when I'm pyro I know I can W+M1 the fuck of it and find all spies simply because there's no penalty.

On the topic of health, they could just bring back their original Body Armor system witht he health system, but tweak it around some.

Yay! I have finally crafted myself a level 3 Refined metal! I've been trying to do that for a while. Now I have it I have no idea what to do with it, but still. It is an accomplishment!

A level 3 refined metal? You mean just a refined metal right? And a few options are
    1.give it to me:D
2.save up a few more and create a hat
3.trade it for a few good weps
    4.give it to me:D

I called it a level 3 refined metal becasue that's what the TF2 wiki called it when I was trying to see what I was meant to do with it.

I guess I'll make a hat when I manage to make more. I don't really need any weapons and it says it isn't tradable because of something I used in it which makes me wonder what item I used that was untradable.... I can only assume it was something I had unlocked. Oops.:o

    I have 2 refined!

Anyone need the Candy Cane, Fists of Steel or Vintage Gunboats?

I will trade them for 2 scrap or 5 weapons each.

Bah! I wanted to have some fun today playing with the Telltale gang, but the server was overrun with pub-stomping team-stackers. When three medics are working together in a chain with ubersaw-fueled invincibility, all while you don't hear anything on the chat channel (which had all-talk on) you know it's not just randomly unbalanced.

Not to mention all the vulgarity, and I don't just mean some four-letter words, I mean outright vulgarity to the point that I had to mute several players.

Not for the Telltalliance, but from Telltale Games TF2 (TTG TF2), the one where the Telltale Games staff put up when they're going to be on their own server playing.

Well I just did buy it.

Like I said I needed a new multiplayer experience and actually was about to buy left 4 dead 2 just for new multiplayer.
Where as this is also a great online game, is 5 bucks cheaper, and got me 3 tf2 hats.

Left 4 Dead 2... lost its magic a long time ago for me. The only thing that remains is a bloated corpse that Valve is trying to reanimate by adding new game modes (called mutations) that stick around for 1-2 weeks and then are gone.

HEAVEN FORBID that you like any of the mutations, because once they're gone, they're gone. Valve MIGHT bring them back later if enough people vote for them.

So far, only one mutation has come back permanently: Realism Versus.

Let me put it this way: Killing Floor is a less polished version of what Left 4 Dead 2 should have been.

Then again, if you don't have Killing Floor, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about.

I can't really compare either to Monday Night Combat, as I haven't played it.

Speaking of which, have you seen the new Monday Night Combat trailer with the TF2 references in it?

I was under the impression that self-made items are not tradeable.
  • edited January 2011
Well after SPUF whined the old Lugers became Vintage. The self made ones did too. And anyway, they can be gift wrapped if they are not tradable.

I may play TF2 time to time, when I want to shoot people in the face. I don't really need a hat to do that.

135 bucks. Easiest bucks I've ever made.

    it's a bland rip-off of TF2.

After playing it, I don't fully agree, it's a lot like TF2, the humour, set up, etc, it kind of reminds me of TF2 in the future, sort of the same universe, where as TF2 is the Privatised Army, MNC is their MLB mixed with WWE.

Up to now MNC offers a more spoofing style of sports and quite a different experience to TF2 whilst feeling the same enough to be comforatble and easy to jump into, so right now, both of them can live side by side for me.
