    It's been crashing a lot for me since the update. I'm planning to reinstall my entire OS for other reasons, though, so I don' know if the crashing is from TF2 or from my increasingly buggy Windows install. (It's been ~3 years, the longest I've gone without reinstalling).

    It has nothing to do with your OS; loads of people have been experiencing crashes.

    Well done, Valve. You managed to make the game not work in return for some pretty crappy changes. Easily the worst 'major' update ever.

    Not to worry!, the thing about STEAM is that they always fix it, and they break it again, and fix it again, in an endless loop.

    But they fix it anyways, and that's enough for me!.. considering the Customer Service you get with games these days, that's gold!.

    I love how so many different weapons for different classes work well together, yet no-one ever uses them.

    Look at Medieval Mode. Here are some sure-fire strategies:
    -Rift Axe + Axtinguisher = near instant kills
    -Buff Banner + Katana against another katana user. An instant kill deals more then enough damage to charge up the metre.
    -Buff Banner/Fan o Wart + Bushwacka = near instant kills.

    Yet no-one ever takes advantage of them. Hell, you can even combine instant kills with katana charging up the buff banner with bushwacka snipers for loads of crits. Ugh. That's what you get for playing on pubs, I guess.

    I've tried pairing my Axtingisher up with someone else's Rift Axe in Medieval mode. It didn't work very well in practice. I was too dependent on him to be able to do damage, and the extra damage of intermittent crits wasn't enough to be of benefit over two more powerful attackers, IMO.

    Apparently, the (not so) Hatless update has been followed up by announcement of 3 different promotions. One by a limited time offer when buying Mount & Blade With Fire & Sword before May 3rd. One by earning achievements in SpaceChem. Two more hats unmentioned are a bucked and a cone that refer to zombies. Possibly for a Plants vs. Zombies promo.

    True. I am tired of people asking for my Sam and Max stuff(Interestingly they only call it the "Max set". Sams gun was among the stuff people!!")
    And considering Poker Night had so many jerks go for the game. One person complained that you had to unlock them ingame.
    Heck one demanded that telltale doesnt give a s**t about us for not patching the save glitch.

    There's a new update incoming, people have found new item names in the Steam Translation Server. New class sets, 2 new gamemodes, lots of new hats, new unusual effects, "sockets", new weapons, and a customizable pin which you can import picture onto.

    Sounds good to me. I'll post pictures of these items later.

    Probably a stupid question, but is it possible to make hats into metal? It only seems logical since you can use 3 metals to make a hat, but I can't do it. Wondered if there was a special way of making it happen or something?

    Well they added a new replay feature to the game including achievements that unlock a hat so youtube will be flooded with stupid clips like this one:

    In addition to replays, they added a bunch of new hats. I find this one interesting...

    Paint this with Team Spirit, equip the Killing Gloves of Boxing, go on RED, and Strong Bad being "Tiny Heavy" in Poker Night will finally be correct! :D

    There is normal red paint (or normal blue paint) to avoid team confusion. What would happen if you had a blue item while on RED? Instead they have Team Spirit paint, which paints an item red/blue depending on the team you're currently on.

    Don't know. He never does that in his serious videos.

    In other news, while messing with the feature, I actually got a nice vid of either a glitch, or an epic fail from me.
    I dropped my sandvich and my heavy wouldnt use it
    I dont know which one because it refuses to show my health in the replay, but that will be going on youtube most likely.

    And I found another rather interesting glitch.

    So my friend is playing Degrootkeep as a fish scout, and somehow I got an ellis cap, and frying pan. Wasnt those offers done a long time ago and ended? I did get L4D2 last week, but there is no way the offer is still up.

    It probably is permanent, because I also got L4D2 long after the pan and Ellis Cap were released and still got them.

    I want to have a rant. I would have done this last night after the game, but it was late and I was wanting to go to bed. It's still annoying me though, so I figured I'd just let it all out.

    Why does auto-balance work the way it does? It's ridiculous! I was on red team defending and blu had only the last point to cap. They had set up a sentry and teleport and were pretty tough to keep back. To help my team I went medic and ubercharged the only heavy we had. Once we were in that invunerable state we mounted an attack. I was able to ubercharge that dude three times in a row. We had pushed blu all the way back into their own base and set up teleports and sentries around them. That heavy would not have made it there if someone hadn't of ubercharged them, and that someone happened to be me. Then I die and auto-balance happens. The very second I stepped out of blu base, there was the red heavy I had helped get there and now I was forced to try and kill him and push red team back!

    Don't get me wrong, I don't care if I'm on a losing team. What I care about is that I was the one who had helped mount the attack in the first place. I was giving red team my all and then I was forced over! Why was it me that was forced over? My kill count was pretty high and I'd been in the server a while. Why don't they either take the one who had been in the server the least amount of time or the one with the least kills when doing auto-balance? I doubt those people would really mind as much as they wouldn't have been in game long enough to show the team their love and all. I was. My brother says he has the same problem. It's something I really think lets the game down.

    OK. Finished. I feel a bit better now. Until I get auto-balanced in the next game that is...

    Reminds me of when I had capped the intel twice on 2fort, and the next one was for the win, and I made it all the way to my base then I die for rebalance.

    yeah rebalance is a horrible feature in this game sometimes.

    All this discussion about rebalancing reminds me of a huge gripe I have with other players. It seems like every time I pick up the game, I end up on the losing side of a horribly one-sided game. If by some chance, the vote goes through to shuffle teams, players on the team that was winning will inevitably start griping about how the teams were perfect and the scramble screwed everything up.

    Which I guess is part of the reason I don't play TF2 very often anymore (the other part being the Mann-Conomy update). It's a fun and accessible game for a while, but if you're not ridiculously good at it, it gets tiresome after a while, and the players who do get ridiculously good at it are assholes.

    Still haven't played Magicka. Hell, I don't even know anything about it other than that it's a video game called Magicka that Rather Dashing recommended. Bought all of the DLC anyway, including this one.

    Why am I not surprised? Also, I think I've heard word of possible upcoming promos from Lead and Gold, Dino D Day, and Pirates Vikings and Knights II.
