I think we should now talk about how to draw shirtless men, and I suggest that males follow my example and provide pictures of themselves. Shirtless.

This one is taken from the same theatershow as the one with the rose in my mouth and the beheaded goat in my hand.

I do want to see each and every drawing if people try to draw me! ^^

I was playing Klaas, a macho kid with a handicap. Something with my legs not being able to stand straight or something.
Anyway, I had to do a striptease and sing "You Can Leave Your Hat On" for this girl to get her attention.
    The crowd loved it.

Do you have a video of that?

Actually, I have the whole show on dvd. Just nothing online, sorry. ;)
Have got one more picture of it though:

Hahaha I love how she's trying to ignore you xD

Does the show have subtitles or something? What is it called (again)?
  • edited April 2010
That's exactly what girls do when I'm around! It means they're into you. I've come to detect the signs of lust after years of being so suave.

For instance, just the other day this girl was saying to me "omg leave me alone, you're so weird" (which obviously means she likes me) and I was like "why don't you marry me since you love me so much lol" and she was like "wtf why don't you just leave me alone?" and I was like "hey, i'm just chilling out minding my own business, why don't you leave me alone?" and she was like "you're in my garden blah blah blah". I didn't get her phone number, but she was definitely into me. I don't mind it when they play hard to get.

It was called Love's Labour's Lost. It's a reproduction of one of Shakespeare's lesse known plays.
Nope, sorry, no subtitles. We were actually glad that there was a dvd made.
The dvd isn't that good though, especially during that scene. :(
  • edited April 2010
By the way, I remember, that scene ís online, just not the dvd version.

    Here's the trailer

    And here's some scenes.
The one depicted in the pictures starts at 0:53.

It was a really good theatre year.
Not as good as the one before though, I did 3 plays that year. All 3 of them were pretty interesting.

Hey Joop, I just looked up where Panningen is; looks like it's not all that far from Belgian border, actually. Went to Roermond last year, that's about halfway I guess.

Do your bookstores carry English titles? We only have a few that do, and then not everything and usually only the pocket version.
  • edited April 2010
Ah yes, Roermond. I come there very often. It's about 25 Km from Panningen.
We don't have a lot of English bookstores. Actually, the best ones I know are in the Hague and Amsterdam, both of them are called The American Bookstore. I found my Rogue Leaders book there, and some other imported stuff.
If you're searching for comics there's a cute little comicbook store in Eindhoven called Eppo. That's where I found my original copy of Surfin' the Highway.

Ah yes, I know ABC. They had a store in Leuven once, but they shut it down. I loved that place.

I don't know why, but for some reason your scene in that YouTube vid makes me think of Hans Teeuwen.
  • edited April 2010
    BookCENTER, you're right, not Bookstore.
You know, some people have actually compared me to him.
I just don't see the resemblance...

Where are you from Little Writer?

France usually has an English section in each bookstore... I think. Can't remember being in a bookstore that didn't have one.
Major bookstores tend to have other languages, as well.
Libraries always have a "foreign languages" section, which usually includes at least English and Spanish, and often things like German or Italian as well.

On top of that, in Paris there is Brentano's and W. H. Smith, which are the American and British bookstore respectively. All their stuff is in English, they also sell DVDs in English (although major DVD stores do that too, but only for American movies not yet released in France for instance. W. H. Smith has zone 2 British DVDs, including French movies with English subtitles.)
Despite the fact we call one the American Bookstore and the other one the British Bookstore, they both have pretty much the same stuff.
  • edited April 2010
Yeah, we do have English books in most bookstores, but it's not as specific as ABC for instance. All our dvd's (of English spoken movies atleast) are in English too. We don't really dub films, at least not when they're not meant for kids. Sam and Max has never been localised either, though I hope, when it happens, I can provide the voice for one of them.

Btw. I love how this topic has suddenly shifted from my manboobs to books. XD

Oh, our DVDs always have English language on the, even those who have a French dub too. That's one clear advantage of DVDs, before that you had to buy two VHS if you wanted to be able to hear both. Same with subtitles, usually there is at least English and French.

BUT French movies, the ones released in France, don't have English subtitles for the most part, only French one (and usually of the "for deaf people" variety). Finding zone 2 DVDs with a "English subtitle" option was really helpful for my husband who wanted to see French movie but wouldn't have been able to follow them.

The import DVDs I mentioned, of movies not yet out in France, are the American version. Zone 1, title and menus in English, no option for any language other than English (except Spanish sometimes). Not sure if they're sold often, it's usually worth waiting a couple of months to get it in French.
However, it has happened that the American DVD came out before the movie in theatres in France, in which case it makes more sense.

Still, now I guess a lot of people would just torrent it instead.

Don't worry Joop, the resemblance is very small, and I probably wouldn't even have mentioned it if I hadn't seen several of his shows on tv recently (though I'm not a big fan, actually).

Well, the Netherlands is closer to me than France. I live in Genk, but I'm not originally a Limburger; I come from a town closer to (but not really near) Antwerp.

We have Fnac and "Standard Bookshop" chains in Belgium, and some small independents. Like I said, they have a selection but rarely offer hardbacks. Except if they are sure it'll sell, like the last Dan Brown and Stephen King books.

But this was a thread about boobs, not books. Although books about boobs might be fun; like one of those bunny suicide books but instead a 101 original boobs applications or something.

But if you must move on to shirtless men, don't let me stop you.

Well, it was actually Avistew, as always, who started about shirtless men.

I know about Genk, it's about 40 minutes from Roermond. My old manager lives there.

    Boobstore.
    Rogue Leaders Boob
    Comicboobs
These are all concepts that somehow sound very appealing...

People, there is no need to argue here, breasts are beautiful regardless of size, shape, colour or gender. Because they're boobs. QFD.

I disagree. But that's alright because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Personally, I'm not to big on the hairy manboob category, nor am I on the wrinkly teabag category.
Don't get me wrong, if you like 'm, go ahead, you should.
It's just not my cup of tea(bag).
  • edited April 2010
Well, I feel they're breasts regardless of size, meaning according to my definition ALL mean have breasts. Just, you know, often they're very small.
Hairs aren't a problem. Absence of hair isn't a problem either, but if it's because it's waxed/shaved rather than absent, then I'm not too fond of it.

And I guess I'm not attracted to old, wrinkled people, but that doesn't mean I don't find them beautiful. Just not, you know, sexually attractive. But since I don't find any women sexually attractive, there isn't much difference for me :p
  • edited April 2010
Wait a second, if you don't find women sexually attractive, why do you keep talking about flirting with everyone at Telltale?! You're just a tease!

Tss, you don't know anything about anything, Lena. I like males. A lot. Men like females who flirt with other females. A lot. Flirting with females makes me more attractive to males!
    It's perfectly logical.
  • edited April 2010
Hmmm... Since you explained your tactics, I'm suddenly a lot less attracted to you Avistew... :(
  • edited April 2010
avistew, don't you see that you're getting these women's hopes up only to crush them cruelly later? Does sisterhood mean nothing to you?
  • edited April 2010
Sisterhood, schmisterhood, you're all a bunch of phony's! The lot of ya!
    I think I'll turn gay now... :(

But I'm only flirting! I'm not even talking about having sex with them or anything. I like flirting, no matter if it's with males or females. Doesn't mean I need to have sex with them, does it?
The fact guys like it is a benefit for sure, but it's not like I'm using anyone. I'm being friendly because I like being friendly, that's all.

I don't think any woman here can have their hopes up when I'm constantly talking about men, to be honest. I don't feel dishonest.

(And I don't believe in sisterhood. I'm not going to favour women over men. Gender equality for the win!)

Wait, what?! How did this vicious rumour start? Take it back or I'm gonna tell everyone how you spent lunchtime crying in the library because avistew is not into girls.
