Here's what it is currently. I don't put that many game shortcuts on my desktop anymore. I just throw them in Steam. My quick launch bar is on the left there so I can access the bulk of my most-used programs as easily as possible.

They're large on purpose. I think it looks better that way.

Also, you have an icon that is just "Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse". Is that a launcher or something? Where can I get it?

I think he's doing what I do. Just makes a folder and puts all the episode shortcuts in it, then change the icon.

    It's just a folder. I made a custom icon.

Highway, I notice that your Monkey Island icons are all taken from cover art, except for Escape:

    48680013.png

    Why is that?
  • edited July 2010
Actually, they're probably from Laserschwerts's posters.
  • edited July 2010
Still, all but Escape looks like boxart.

Do what? Copy an image/screenshot, paste it into mspaint, crop it, and upload it to imageshack?

Nope, i meant create custom icons.
  • edited July 2010
oh. That's easy. Create an image, save it as .png, upload it to convertico.com, right click the converted icon and save it to your computer, then edit a shortcut and change its icon location to point to that new file.

I personally prefer a program called LiquidIcon.

I personally prefer a program called LiquidIcon.

    I checked that out.

It seems difficult to edit a multipart icon that's embedded in an exe (eg. the CMI exe's icon that is Murray when small and the Coin interface when large.)

Also, it can only create and/or edit icons up to 48x48 in size. At convertico.com, it converts an image into an icon file containing every possible icon size. I've used it to make icons for my King's Quest games by using a portion of the boxart.

    Things get even more crowded!

Has anyone else created a shortcut to MI2:SE yet? I wasn't sure what icon they would use, but now that it's out, I can't imagine it being anything else.

And one of us isn't using it in the race due to technical problems:(

Oh, and Hayden, yes that's Ghost Pirate of Vooju Island.
