I find pictures too distracting, I can't see what's on the desk if it's all poster-y.
I really use it like a desk. Dump stuff on top of it thinking I'll get to them and deal with them, then every so often clean it off or stuff things into a folder (like the "reference pictures" folder is a week or two old, all the pictures for the plushes were starting to clutter the desk so I stuffed them all in a folder).

At least you aren't like my sister who dumps all the icons in the desktop and never NEVER cleans. Eventually, the icons started to get out of the screen, and she didn't did anything about it.

I used to do that, until the clutter made my computer so slow that it broke my desktop and I had to do everything over again!
Never had icons go out of the screen, but I've had some stacking over each other and I couldn't remember what all was there.
Sometimes I have too many folders so I make a folder to put other folders in, too xD
Like right now, there is one called "Projects", it's got other folders in it.
Someday I should really clean things up better and organise them all and stuff. Once Ian told me I could erase the files I had backed up for him, so I deleted the "backup" folder, and only after that did I realise there was also the backup from my previous computer. Oops.
I used to use the concept art of the graveyard, but a while after chapter 5 came out, I decided to switch for the warmer colors in this one. If I had a second monitor, I would have the graveyard on it.
This is my previous wallpaper, which I still have on my laptop. It was a wallpaper from Ctrl+Alt+Del, but when the site was redesigned, Tim removed a lot of the old wallpapers from the extras section, including this one.
@Jake
It's okay, btw you really should try to read your eMails! :O)
And just to increase the OSX user count:
I haven't found time to replace the standard wallpaper on OSX yet and it's okayish as well. On da PC i have some nice 4bit coloured and not distracting art instead, doing this myself from time to time.
@Jake
Imagine all those desperate and unhappy girls then... *sigh*
It's okay, approximately a thousand of these emails are from me alone. So the rest is probably mostly spam, maybe a hundred other desperate and unhappy girls or so, but no more.
It's every rocky planet, every dwarf planet, and every moon larger than the smallest dwarf planet lined up by size across both my screens. I made it with Celestia, which uses a generic asteroid texture for the non Pluto dwarf planets. I can still tell which of those is which, though.

What should i say, that i'm jealous? :O)
@Shwoo
Wouldn't it be cool if you could place your icons in sort of moons which tag to the planets and orbit around them then?!
Okay, changed my desktop to one that fits me better:
I wanted to put once the one they sent in the Newsletter before officially announce The Devil's Playhouse. You know, the one with the title "We're working on it!"
@Avistew
*lol* This is a cool picture! I especially like Jake, at least i suspect that's him, and the the guy standing left to him, from a viewers perspective. Wow, the girl on a quick view looks a bit like Nora Tschirner.
I would welcome a touch of such a mood in the games.

Nah. It's cool. She has tits. We're good to go.
Everything's on rocket dock. And actually the taskbar is also auto-hide, I just highlighted it so it wasn't just a wallpaper.
...
I like keeping my desktop clean.
Uninteresting and messy.
Okay I admit it I laughed.
So... PS2 and GBA emus... if you're gonna pirate, at least black bar your pirate folders, man. Jesus.
You mean they're two separate things? I didn't know that.
Of course they are! There is one on the left and one on the right. A woman (usually) connects them together but they're two separate things for sure!
Always use my own made pictures. Much better than a pic someone else made .

Okay, fine.
That is exactly what I told it in English.
(I said "animal," singular.)
edit: I can't show my work PC but here's my laptop at home
Got it from the Make Something Cool Every Day flickr pool many months ago.
heh... ui_openingcutscene.mov
And before that, I was using this one, from deviantArt:

when did you email me?
Seit wann haben Feigen was mit Eiern zu tun?
Imagine all those desperate and unhappy girls then... *sigh*
I change my background every few months, but here's the most recent one, I actually just changed it this morning.
Attachment not found.
Then it gave me a headache, so I stopped.

Patters, I want to high five you. I miss that game.
