I just like to thank this forum for informing me about Kinder Eggs. I mentioned to my postdoc, who was subsequently appalled that I had never had one and so when she went back to Germany, she brought me back some. And they're delicious.

    Nooooooooooooooooo

    GOOGLE WHY

Do you if/how the decommission affects Google Alerts? At the moment I have several queries delivered to Google Reader, and it'll be super lame if I have to find another way to manage those.

Google Alerts feeds seem to just be normal RSS feeds. You'll have to find a new reader, but I don't think they're doing anything special with Alerts, so you should be able to migrate them easily enough using Takeout or through syncing Reader with a service like Feedly which plans to make migration easier.

And now you can threaten to turn her in for smuggling if you ever need blackmail material.

    Kinder Eggs...And they're delicious.

In that McDonald's sort of way.

I guess things just taste according to one's accessibility.
  • edited March 2013
Taste, oddly enough, is a matter of taste. Who'da thought?
  • edited March 2013
    It's still cheap chocolate.

aint as cheep as the crap we're normally stuck with.

My favorite eco terrorism group posted a Harlem Shake video. Don't know how to feel about that, hah.

After having cheap chocolate that tastes like cardboard, cheap chocolate that tastes like sugar is definitely a welcome change. Also, there isn't much of the chocolate, most of the egg is the prize bit.

So far, I got a bunch of stickers and a tiny cricket DJ.

I like Kinder chocolate. It's very milky. And it might be "cheap" as in "not good" but it's certainly not "cheap" as in "not expensive". In the store you usually see Kinder, and then lots of store brands trying to copy all the different styles of kinder for a lower price.

I love Kinder chocolate so much that I actively avoid buying it because I'd just eat it all at once.
  • edited March 2013
I know that milk chocolate contains milk, so I was always quite sceptical of Kinder chocolate. Maybe it's because I'm German.

    :D.

Not technically a Kinder egg, but it looks like someone found a legal way to offer chocolate eggs containing toys in the U.S.
  • edited March 2013
I wonder how. Maybe making Kinder eggs illegal is just racism then?
  • edited March 2013
Did they make the toy edible? Because if not then by FDA rules it shouldn't be legal
  • edited March 2013
I still think the ban is stupid. The toys come inside a capsule. You'd have to be a fucking gluton to eat through the plastic capsule and swallow the goddamn toy.

    or like 2 years old.

My youngest brother is two years old, and when he wasn't he never ate the goddamn capsule.

Also, that point doesn't really go up, because the eggs are for 3+ anyway. It's just that my youngest brother always craves chocolate.

No. The way they got around it was by making the capsule partially visible. So it's technically not "encased in chocolate". Just breaching the border.
  • edited March 2013
Ok. So my copy of FFXII won't rip to my pc.

    -_-

(Worse part is that it only has very light scratches on it, so I know its not simply a matter of disc quality)

EDIT: Heh. I guess that teaches me to buy games of the market.
(It was only £5, and I got Heart of Darkness at the same time too, and that works perfectly. Just bad luck I guess...)
