    Mine is watching Glee~
And eating chocolate, especially because I'm allergic to caffeine.

I didn't even know you could be allergic to caffeine.
It's like every day I hear about a new allergy I never even though about.

Liking the Force Unleashed and watching American Dad!.

A.D is a sick show with a sick sense of humor, but I love watching it.

World of Warcraft isn't a video game. It's a lifestyle. I've been clean for 3 months now!

They are video games, are something you enjoy when you want to get stress out and WoW is like...Facebook with Orcs,Elves, and Dwarves.

I feel guilty about playing Telltale Games, because the rest of my family don't understand :D

Also, some nights, I sneak around the house, grab a massive bag of potato chips from the pantry, and stay up way later than is good for me munching on the chips and watching whatever's on my iPod.

Oooh, I used to walk to the 24 hour store, buy a tube of paprika chips, a bag of caramels, and eat the two while watching movies all night.
Never felt guilty about that though. It was tasty. I miss paprika chips.

I put pakrika on oven chips

    Paprika is wonderful on corn-on-the-cob.
  • edited May 2010
ill have to try that; i usually cant stand corn, cob-intact or otherwise
  • edited May 2010
Well, if you don't like corn... It's a spice, not a miracle :p If you try it though, just put butter or something first so it sticks, then sprinkle the paprika, or you can put the butter and paprika on your plate and roll the cob into them.
  • edited May 2010
both good ideas. i love butter.

Paprika is great in general. It's so great I named one of my pokemon after it.

I'm currently downloading all three seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

For that matter, I still have a huge box full of all my old toys from the first four Power Rangers series.

    How old am I, again?
Hey, you're better than I am. I don't get Power Rangers, no. I get the Super Sentai series which made up the action scenes that were spliced into Power Rangers.

I just ordered the complete box set of Ben10.

I have...erm...the full sets of the Toa Mata, Bohrok, Toa Nuva, Bohrok-Kal, Rahkshi, Toa Metru, and Vahki, plus two Toa Inika, Takanuva, Makuta, the Bahrag, and the Boxor. And I still want to finish collecting the rest of the Toa sets they've put out. So...I hope that makes you feel better about yourself?

My interest in Lady Gaga comes and goes. It's currently in the gone state, but I'm sure it'll come back eventually.

Also, though I mentioned that several things about Ke$ha annoy me, I admit that I've spent way too much time going through random YouTube videos of her doing random things. I think the best one was the video of the first time she heard herself on the radio. It was where she seemed the most normal, considering how freaky she is the rest of the time (though freaky in a totally different way from Gaga, who is just something else entirely).

You win, but I at least get the geek cred for having already known that Power Rangers was made by recutting Super Sentai.

    I'm jealous.

You know, so many of our guilty pleasures overlap, there really isn't much reason for any of us to feel guilty about them.

Here's one that I admit to freely, so my guilt about it is of a different sort: TV Tropes. Sure, there's not much shame in admitting you read the website. No, the shame comes when you realize just how much time you've spent on the website (particularly how much time you've spent in a short span of time), and how much it's become ingrained in your vocabulary, and the effect that has on your friends who have no idea what the hell you're talking about. And it's even worse when you've turned one of your friends on to it and they've become even worse than you.

I have a few of the former. I somehow managed to lose my glow-in-the-dark Snape, but I still have my (literally) two-faced Quirrell figure.

Jeez, I've apparently decided to take this thread and just own it. Guess I had more guilty pleasures than I thought.

I felt mildly guilty about my Doctor Who obsession when I informed my friend's dad about all of the intricacies of filming a Doctor Who episode. Such as what scenes were filmed in a quarry in Cardiff versus Dubai or Croatia, for instance.

    Mine is watching Glee~

I share your Glee love! Judging by his sig, Sailorcuteness probably does too. Sue Sylvester is brilliant.
I place guilty pleasures as things that other people (say parents) can guilt trip you about. Such as the "Why are you spending money on this when you should be getting a job or studying for school?" classic guilt trip.

I'd probably have more things in this category if my parents ever bothered to guilt trip me any more. The other day I was talking to Mum about the awesome Canon L-series lens I planned to buy, and she was like "Oh that will be lovely for you, just remember to lie if I ever ask how much it cost." :p

Totally me. Like in Avatar, my favorite character was that army dude with the scar. I call him Colonel Kickass because I can't remember his name. I was really hoping that he would survive...

Quaritch, and may I say, you sky people are evil. :p

I'd say Digimon and Hamtaro, mostly because I love them for the terrible dubs that were done on purpose. ("If I wasn't so excited, I would be confused!") The third season of Digimon was actually good though, even the dub. They let quite a bit of Chiaki Konaka's story get through relatively untouched. (Yes, the guy who wrote "Serial Experiments Lain" wrote a season of Digimon. I have no idea how that happened either.)

I also loved watching "asadora", basically a kind of soap opera from Japan, that a local UHF station would play on Saturday nights. Now they can't even afford to subtitle the "taiga dorama", year-long series bases on a particular figure or group from Japan's history :(

Thanks. I'll probably go on calling him Colonel Kickass though, because it's sort of stuck in my head like that. Sort of like Captain Cool from the first Zorro movie.:p

    Colonel Kabob a la Neytiri.

Hmm, no guilty pleasures here but i remember friends told me that i should feel ashamed because i could laugh about Benny Hill as well as about the holy Monty Python, pfff, who cares as long as i can laugh about it. :O)

How is laughing about Monty Python a guilty pleasure? :P

Well, I enjoyed most seasons of Emergency Room and Desperate Housewives.

No, you mixed things up: They said that Monty Python is good enough to laugh about but Benny Hill isn't - less niveau -, but i could laugh about both anyway.

I don't know if you've heard the news, but watching Monty Python isn't considered particularly cool in the outside world. That said, how can you not laugh at "I'm a Roman Catholic" unless you're not a Roman Catholic and don't really get it

Is Germany considered to be part of the "outside world"?
