or America? seriously, everyone who has heard of Monty Python here that I have met thinks it's funny

I like Monty Python as much as the next nerd, but nobody ever got laid because they knew all the words to The Lumberjack song.

Maybe not, but this hardcover book was the only thing sitting on my coffee table when my last girlfriend arrived at my place for our first date. She arrived early and started flipping through it while I was getting ready.

    We're married now.

Packing up some stuff today, and never realised I had enough Harry Potter lego to fill 2 120L tubs... (in their boxes though!) That makes it an even guiltier pleasure...

Well, actually. A friend of mine is obsessed with that song, so she would probably consider that a turn on.

No. We love those guys over here.

Hey, I actually have guilty pleasures now.

Tokusatsu and their adaptations count, right?

the taiko drumming games... I'm a classical pianist, whos going into music therapy as a career and yet I like these games =D

Married with Children count? Not that I go out of my way to watch the show but usually when I'm flicking through channels I'll watch it. I find it funny and the way studio audience/laugh machine make sound effects.

    Married with Children count?

I think it does. And I have all the seasons on DVD right behind me.

    Mighty Morphing Power Rangers.

    Party Rock Anthem. I'm sorry.

I like Kirby games, and watching cooking shows.

Stephen King movies/miniseries'. Trust me, I know the acting is always horrible, the stories make little sense, effects are awful...but I own all of them. There's the essence of a guilty pleasure right there. I honestly can't defend them...but I keep enjoying them.

This made me laugh so much.

this is his worst video ever:

° He ran out of bad movies and had to do that one then
° The drinking game is pointless for people that don't drink. Like me.
° No one messes with Tim Curry.

No, the worst thing Tim Curry has ever done is the Worst Witch TV movie. No contest. He even has a song!

My guilty pleasure is terrible cartoons from the 80s. I FREAKING LOVE JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS. Except that I hate them in the actual show, the Misfits' songs *are* better...

There's really no easy way to say this:

I like the Last Action Hero.

That one actually has a cult following. I like it too. It's awful, but it takes every single action cliche and slaps you right in the mouth with it. It's a great comedy.

I watched that for the first time a couple of months ago... I liked it :)

I like Wild Wild West. The Will Smith one. Yes, I know it's a terrible adaptation but it has Kenneth Branagh and Kevin Kline and (most importantly) it reminds me of the Deadlands campaign I used to play in, which is still the best pen and paper game I've ever played in. NO SHAME.

My biggest guilty pleasure is probably Batman and Robin :p

Sadly, it will never get a legitimate US release because the rights holders in this territory are pandering to an audience of children and idiots, and refuse to release the property that they own in a form that isn't raped, mangled, and publicly degraded.

Power Rangers in Space was pretty good though.

I kinda maybe enjoy watching The Nate Berkus Show occasionally.

Oh, but watching the documentary about how they managed to create a completely different show out of the Japanese version is pretty cool.

Not as cool as listening to Tony Oliver talk about it in person.

I would love to see a dubbed and not dumbed down release of Super Sentai. However my rabid MMPR nostalgia knows no bounds so I really can't complain too much.

Or seeing him fight in MMA!
  • edited January 2012
No, Tony Oliver, not Tommy Oliver. Keep an eye on the credits during the freeze-frame at the end the next time you watch MMPR. The guy does voice acting and ADR directing for anime and video games these days, so I got to see him at Nan Desu Kan.

Ohh..well is he any good at MMA?
  • edited January 2012
Not likely, by the looks of him. However, he did play a monster while producing the show, when they suddenly had to film an episode in Australia because the movie ran over schedule. The Australian crew couldn't comprehend what the hell was going on.

I'm sure I'll think of more later, but right now I'll mention one I got interested in again the other day-

    Japanese wrestling.

    No, not sumo wrestling.
