Hurry up and give that movie the one point it deserves.

    The Divide 7-7.5

Highly unpleasant and unsettling, but then sheltering in an apartment basement with a motley group of people post nuclear attack is going to be iffy. Anyway, not half bad.

Also, Michael Biehn. I had to watch it.

That had such an impact that an entire generation knows Ride of the Valkyries as the "Kill The Wabbit" song.

lol I STILL think of it that way sometimes!

I THINK he might be referring to the animated version.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.

Entertaining and kinda horrifying movie about a world that (hopefully) is way behind us now, but wasn't when the movie was made.
Edit: thinking about it ==> no it isn't.

A great movie but it feels a little bit basic 50 years later. Still... kinda enjoyable. And it scared me more than any horror movie of the last 10 years. This could have been reality and we all know it. 8/10

    Would You Rather? 6.5/10

I would have rather watched something else but it had some tense moments and the ex-MI5 Bevans (butler and torturer extraordinaire) stole the show, outshining even the creepy Jeffrey Combs.

If I can work it, I intend for my thesis to be called: Dr. [my name here] (?) or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Worm.

    I work on c. elegans.

I've not yet seen it, or have plans to. Here in NZ, this means I should in good conscience forfeit my right to be a Kiwi.

A somewhat related but inconsequential tidbit.

My grandmother lived two doors down from Jackson in the 80's. She loathed the guy. There was an 'incident' one day, when he filmed in the street down from the house.

    Prisoners 9/10

An excellently dark crime thriller that causes you to gnaw at your fingernails. Also, I preferred Hugh Jackman’s character in this to the one in Les Miserables.

  • Slash presents: Nothing To Fear 4/10

Wow. This movie’s title is more true than you can imagine. There is nothing scary or even unsettling about this movie.

  • Captain Phillips 10/10

Great nail-biting thriller, and in my opinion much better than anything Hanks did with Robert Zemeckis.

  • Machete Kills 2/10

    Fuckin’ stupid.

  • The Mist 7/10

  • Chernobyl diaries 5/10 it was too dark I couldn't see anything

    Bad Grandpa 8/10

Wackiest fuckin movie Ive ever seen. A fish with a male penis and balls, a guy getting his dick stuck in a vending machine, a Dance Moms scenario with a stripper, and an old man at a strip club on ladies night made it one hell of a movie night.

  • Clue: The Movie (1985)
One of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. The cast is fantastic, the comedic timing is spot-on, and it somehow manages to find the perfect balance between comedy and thriller. The soundtrack also did a good job of setting the mood, the jokes are pretty timeless, and the plot is relatively easy to follow if you listen closely.

The only problems I really had with this movie were that A. the cast needed a bit more material to work with, and B. the side characters needed more of a chance to be funny. To be fair, though, every cast member makes the most of their time on screen. Especially the Singing Telegram Girl who shows up for about ten seconds before she's killed. (Which, by the way, is probably the funniest scene in the movie.)

    10/10 It was excellent.

  • Lone Survivor

I don't cry when I see movies most of the time. Even if it's really sad like The Green Mile, I usually don't tear up. I had tears in my eyes throughout almost the entire movie, at least after all the shit started going down. This movie is what makes me proud to be American, and to have men like these who are willing to give up their lives for their country. God bless the United States Navy SEALs. Aside from that, the action was magnificence, bringing a sense of realism like out of a Kathyrn Bigelow flick. It's as if these guys really knew what they were doing. As for the portrayals of the soldiers, I originally had second thoughts of a averaged-height Boston guy portraying a 6-foot Texan, but his portrayal of Marcus Luttrell is amazing. The co-stars are pretty damn good as well, and Wahlberg definitely deserves an Oscar for this.

    12/10

  • Dallas Buyer's Club - 9.5/10
Wolf of Wall Street - 7.5/10
    American Hustle - 8.5/10
The Spook who sat at the Door - 7/10
    Salo - 1/10
    Up! - 4/10

  • Frozen 9/10 (great family movie)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 9/10 (absolutely loved this only reason it's not a 10 is because the lack of depth in the non spidey scenes)
    Epic 7/10

  • One of the old ones,

Jackie's Chan Rush Hour deserve a great 8/10 for the fun factor

  • Joyride 3 - 4.5/10

Boring horror movie, cliched characters without character development and an antagonist with no motives nor reasons.
