feature the Doctor finding a new type of hat, remarking how cool it, only to have river shoot it.

This has only happened once. So far.

I am looking forward to Cowboy!Doctor, though. Regardless of whether the hat ends up as a smoldering relic. :D

Well I just hope there is as little of River Song as possible and before anyone asks I find her annoying.
  • edited January 2011
I believe she's in the first two episodes. So at least she'll be over and done with quickly.

Humans Have Become Immortal, and the Population is booming because of this

Also, the series is called Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Damn, so it's just another serial story, eh? I was hoping for more a return to Series 1 & 2.

I hope it's a mix: individual episodes but with an over-arching story.

Huh. Interesting plotline. I don't like the new name though. I preffer the old title (a new world). Oh well. Looking foward to it! Hopefully it'll fill the gap between the two halves of series 6 of doctor who!

Ribs, you killed the thread! (lol, jk. Hat pics are cool.)
I booked some tickets to see the doctor who experience in london, on the 2cnd of April. Anyone else going? It runs from next month onwards. It's got a replica of Matt Smiths Tardis interior, and Peter Davisons, along with the actual costumes of all the doctors, and various props. And it's got a mini-episode in it as well, in 3D.

Oh, and does anyone have kids? Or is really short and skinny? These are awesome. Can't wait to see them in Toys'r'us, next to the Barbie cars!

Just finished listening to the first season of the "eighth doctor adventures" audioplays, and I have to say I'm very impressed. Especially by the last two audios, "Human Resources (parts 1/2)". Now, I just need to cobble together £60 for the second season...

Forbidden planet are selling some seriously awesome t-shirts.

    67583.jpg.size-300_square-true.jpg

I think I'm going to buy the 5th doctors one! That is, if I wasn't saving up for when I visit the doctor who experience in april...

Also, i can't beleive that Doctor who didn't win any awards at the NTA's this year. Especially with Moffet at the helm, and with episodes such as Vincent and the doctor, and end of time part two (seeing as that was last year too) being so emotionally powerful!

Not Available at Forbidden Planet in NYC :( I'd dig a Six one too, because he has the bestest outfit. But I know there'll be next to no requests due to the surprising hatred of Six.

Those T-shirts are awesome. They even got the celery on the Fifth Doctor one! I would totally get one, but I'm pretty sure they don't come in my size...it would probably end up being a dress...

I may/may not have looked up some spoilers for the episodes filmed and oh god Series 6 sounds amazing, unsurprisingly.

In other news, Sylvestor McCoy is officially cast in the Hobbit and David Tennant expressed interest in a role.

I have turned my son into a big DW fan.... He is probably the only 8 year old in his class that pretends to travel in the TARDIS.

I remember seeing some show where Jamie Oliver went to the states to see how the kids were eating in school. They were pretty much being served junk food for lunch, but most depressingly they weren't even eating with a knife or fork as they weren't trusted with them. I cried myself to sleep for a fortnight after.

That was a depressing class :(

A 6th one would be awesome, because it would actually kind of work as a normal shirt. Oddly enough, Colin is generally seen as the best in the audio dramas.

@Irishmile:Is the rest of the class full of 9 year olds then? :p

@Jedexodus Unhealthy food was the best. At my primary school, we used to be able to buy really cheap "american style" coke (which was basically just flat coke/coke flavoured water in a small thin plastic tub thing), sausage rolls, chocolate filled doughnuts (seriously, they were awesome. They were really warm too, and were great in the winter) and those really cheap alien crisps, all in the tuck shop, and all really cheap. Then, in my last year, my friends mum (who was the chair of governers) decided that we should all turn healthy, so the sausage rolls were replaced with raisins, the coke with water, and the chocolate doughnuts with packets of nuts. ¬_¬. I stopped buying food at school after that. Those sausage rolls and doughnuts were amongst the nicest I ever had too...

Well, 90% of the problem with Colin was the near-terrible writing he had, but the few good stories (Like The Two Doctors, which came from Netflix today!) were just amazing.

Plus, BBC America is a channel not everyone gets. And it's still not in HD for me, at least.

Yup. Took me til college to discover that it even existed. And I had watched quite a bit of BBC stuff before then, too.

Nearly forgot... according to a picture in the Sun yesterday, Matt Smith will have a beard at some point during the new series. Which is interesting.

The sontaran experiment is pretty good. Not as good as the first sontaran serial, but good none the less! I got it as part of a boxset (with all the sontaran episodes in: it was on sale for £15! Who says the recession was a bad thing?)

And that picture made me think about what would happen if the government used doctor who in their public health publicity (like the Mr. Men in dentistry). Especially sex ed: "It's a condom. I wear a condom now. Condom's are cool." Yeah, I have a wierd mind...
