Radio Disney Version of Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed" - 10/10
This really is quite hilarious to watch, seeing how mismatched the audio is with the visual side of things. Seeing a bunch of posers desperately trying to look tough and menacing, only for a bright, happy, upbeat piece of music to be placed over the top - I just thing that's brilliant .

Yeah, I've known about his channel and videos for a while, but somehow managed to miss that Slipknot one ^. Another of my favourites is the Broadway Version of Motorhead's "Ace of Spades".
Not even really a song but more a call to arms. Creative imagery and wordplay combined with a marching drumbeat and melancholy violin lines make this a piece that really sticks with you. Somebody also made a nice typography thingy for it in the youtube link. Not what i'd have envisioned personally but it's still pretty bloomin' snazzy. Check it out.
Cultural gap here methinks, I loved it long time Bar the guitar solos which were identical to the original and didn't really fit the Bossa Nova vibe, plus playing them in clean exposes how much classy distortion and reverb gloss up everything in lead guitar
Did you ever check out The Distillers? I know you like your female fronted bands.
I'd crap myself if you can name a band I haven't checked out. But I'll check the link out , see if it's a new song. BUT, I've heard this band and like it. New song for me though.
LOL Actually, I don't think this one is in my collection. Thanks for sharing man. I like this, it's got a lot of sound, personality, some how it doesn't feel generic. Thanks for sharing, grade A.
I've been meaning to listen to more Poets of the Fall ever since I heard War in Alan Wake. Then your link helped remind me that I already heard them before in Max Payne 2.
Arctic Monkeys song (Probably one of the "Not so known" ones), accidentally stumbled upon and it's probably if not my favorite, then one of them.
There's nothing like a good northern (England) band (being a northerner myself) though I prefer 505 or Fluorescent Adolescent.
Oh and thanks to the Nerdist podcast (specifically episode 4) I've found myself listening to Her Words Destroyed My Planet by Motion City Soundtrack a lot recently.
I've loved the original version of this song by Billie Holiday ever since Fallout 3, and I always thought it was subtly disturbing. I guess Emilie Autumn thought the same thing, because this cover is damned creepy in the best ways possible. Amazing.

You really should, I am listening to all the songs at the moments, and I haven't found a song I dislike yet.
I can easily say I have found one more favorite band.
Dream Theater - "On the Backs of Angels" - 10/10
I must have listened to this song over 30 times by now, which is not like me at all. Usually I try to refrain from overplaying songs, or listening to them multiple times in succession, because I like to 'preserve' them, in a sense, so that I can still appreciate them for a long time to come. However, on this occasion I've simply been unable to help myself. This song has everything that I would expect from a good Dream Theater song. Heck, it has everything that I'd want from a good progressive rock/metal song; it has reasonably complex structures, impressive playing and musicianship, great soloing, and a number of different sounds and odd compositions.
The funny thing is, while the track has all of these elements, it manages to also be one of Dream Theater's more organized and song-orientated tracks. It seems to have balanced all of the progressive aspects out with hooks, melodic choruses, welcome repetition, and memorable moments. Ultimately, this makes it an ideal single, as it satisfies the more hardcore DT fans, whilst also being accessible enough for those new to the band.
Overall, it's a very good progressive rock song which should be heard by all fans of the genre by everyone.

The guy who does these is excellent, Wait and Bleed's one of his best, although I am partial to the Bossa Nova version of The Trooper.
Might I ask why? I thought it was great .

That was an adventure! Nowadays we're lightyears away from such a quality.
