It's been 29th for almost and entire day here... in fact in three hours it will be the 30th. Be quiet and be patient the game will be out when it's out you complaining about the date will do nothing.
So we're clear, the game will be released sometime during Telltale's office hours. (I'm guessing 9 to 5?) Also keep in mind that since they're in California, they operate on Pacific Standard Time.
Can you imagine the bandwidth that Tell Tale would save on from all the page refreshes, aka F5s? I mean think about it. If they announced the projected time line, and then in the forums had a progression bar, updated at the end of each day, displaying the game's actual time to release.
It would potentially stop silly threads like "Release Dates" and hopefully generate more constructive ones. Reading this thread is like having a bunch of beggars at your door step ready to fight for any scraps of food that you throw their way. Only in this case, they have already paid for the food, and they are just waiting for the kitchen to make it.
In a restaurant, you can at least ask the waiter where your food is. Here, you cross your fingers and hope that someone from Tell Tale might pop their head in and say three words.

Okay, let's see... my sister can, definitly, she watches the triology at least once a year. My mother can, most likely. Two of my female friends can, as they are movie experts. Through them, I also know quite a lot of other women who can quote BTTF, at least three.

I think the programmers would rebel against this idea. *L* Programming doesn't always go perfectly. Depending on the size and length of a game, you can have a day where you actually -lose- progress because something doesn't work out quite how you want it to and you have to redo what you did on a prior day to make it work. Hell, even sometimes when it -does- work like you intended you have to recode some stuff that was already done just to integrate. They could set the release date on the last day of the month and have a fake progress bar that updates evenly basically counting down the days. Then, if they finished early, they could literally have the whole completed game and we'd have to wait longer than we would have if there wasn't an exact date and they could go ahead and release. They couldn't release early because it would set a precedence and we'd end up right back here. The end result? You'd have a progress bar that didn't actually tell you anything, and possibly have to wait even longer for the game.

Very true- as a programmer I know. You can either completely mask what's going on internally (e.g. Microsoft) and either release when you're not ready, or push it back 3-6 months.. or you announce no date at all until it is ready.
Telltale is doing something ambitious by releasing games episodically with cliffhangers - it inherently creates expectation, and I'm sure a lot of pressure on their dev's If they get it out before the last seconds of the month, they are winning.
But I'm hoping for 2hr from now (now 7AM PST, 10am EST here)

I think telltale officially warrants their release dates to be called "telltale time" just like valve. I just wish like valve, telltale would surprise us once in a while and release a game earlier then expected than always to the last minute. Like what is the deal with not releasing it first thing in the mourning? Its not like they're working on the game until they actually release it, or trying to market it in someway before hand. I'm not actually complaining, but I'm really curious as to whats going on with these odd release schedule's. I know i'm not the only one

The website is different time than them. I thought they were in Pacific time and someone said California time.
