Why freaking tell them? Sony could easily, if they haven't upped defenses enough already, shut down PS3 until next week to stop the hack if they need to.

That statement is just wrong in at least two ways.

    Ok perfect in my opinion.

When they put up the servers, they'd just attack then.

The new Wii console that comes out in 2012 still has an old ATI card in it (ATI 4000 series if I remember.)

Considering nothing has been confirmed yet.
Not even the touch screen for controller which Im hoping either
A.Doesnt effect the price for contolers.
    B.Wont happen all together

So far neither seems like a possibility.

if Nintendo makes the new console for hardcore gamers it would be a coolsome move

Can anyone tell me why exactly people are happy that Sony and millions of its customers are getting screwed because some douchebag hackers assaulted them?

Am I the only one that realizes that this hack could have just as easily happened to Microsoft? They don't have some invincible unhackable security system in place, if a large group of organized hackers decided to hack it, they would hack it, no questions asked.

    1. 90+% of the world uses a Microsoft Operating System for their main computing system that connects to the Internet.

    2. The Shooter fanbase makes up for more than half of the genre fanbases put together.

    3. Xbox is a shooter console. Name an anime RPG that isn't online for the 360, and isn't Tales of Vesperia.

    4. Tech authorities have proved that Microsoft WGA is considered spyware, and thus Microsoft is already "hacking" its own users.

    Lost Odyssey - Not anime-based.

Record of Agarest War - Strategy RPG (I'm looking for straight-up JRPGs)

Blue Dragon - Forgot it, because it sucked.

Operation Darkness - Tactical RPG (Again, I'm looking for JRPGs)

Eternal Sonata - Has a PS3 Port, looking for exclusives. << If you listed this one, you forgot Star Ocean: The Last Hope.

JRPGs / Traditional RPGs are more turn-based, or like Star Ocean and Tales series. Meaning, PS3 and the Wii basically wins the round. (PS3 Exclusive coming soon: Tales of Xillia.)

How about I just name games that aren't shooters then?

Anyway, it's not really a surprise that the Japanese console has more Japanese developed games then the American one.

what does XBOX being a shooter console have to do with hackers?
and yes, it could easily have been the xbox...but the xbox charges for online use and Sony doesn't....guess which would have more people connected and where you'd get more information. I don't generally get involved in console wars as people have different tastes. I've had both at one point and honestly, the two consoles are so closely balanced that it literally came to the fact i liked the PS3 controller better(some games i like the D pad and its better to use on the PS3). I'm glad I made my choice though lol R&C baby.

I am supremely glad that Telltale Games is here and thriving. I can't imagine anyone who isn't impressed with the IPs they acquire and the attention and care they take in transforming them into good games. I'm sure they have attracted many ex-Lucasarts gamers in the process.

They again captured more respect in their handling of the Jurassic Park delay. Even though I had not pre-ordered the game, I could appreciate what they did for their fans and customers. With all the good press, I'm sure they attracted many who had never heard of them before.

Now they have another opportunity to attract with the PSN outage.

Many people I know are growing very impatient to get their hands on the next installment of Back to the Future (which should have become available by now on the PSN). Perhaps it would be worth looking at a way to reach those fans and customers too. Good press and free advertising from the same sources that reported the Jurassic Park delay would help to spread the word quickly.

One idea could be making the episode available for the PC is some form. Free would be a good move, but I think maybe people would be ok with a (very) small fee. This would introduce more to the PC world of Telltale and a much wider selection of games. I bet that there are many console gamers that have not had an interest in PC gaming, but would 'give it a shot' for such an offer.

I'm not sure of the logistics of such a move, but that should get the wheels turning for your creative or marketing staff for other ideas too.

Also, jump on it pretty fast. Looks like the PSN is down for the weekend, but if it is down for any length of time next week too, you will have a lot of angry and frustrated people who you could reach with some good news.

    Good Luck,
    Mike

N64 also was trounced, and Genesis was tied or slightly leading for much of the 16-bit war. You'd have to be living in 1995 to think that Nintendo has a perfect console war track record with anything other than handhelds.

Even just looking at quality and not sales, it's absolutely hilarious to claim that Cube was better than PS2. It's slightly less hilarious to claim that N64 was better than PSX (it was widely accepted at the time that PSX was a significantly better choice, but history has been revised now that people who were 9 years old in N64's prime are regular internet contributors).

I didn't grow up with it, but I had a Super Nintendo before N64 came out. Which was a better console than Genesis. Not just talking games. Play games that were released for both. The SNES versions were just better...especially with sound. So I naturally went to N64 and skipped PSX.... I didn't have the money back then to even pay attention to other consoles....and I, can now admit, I made a HUGE mistake. PSX was WAYYYYY better than N64.

This is what I hear (can't confirm, since I just got an SNES a year ago and only have two games, but I'm willing to believe it), I just couldn't help myself. :D

MKII was better on the SNES.

    Mortal Kombat.

Was it better for any reason other then the fact that it had the blood code and the arcade fatalities?

How can an opinion be wrong?
I thought the N64 was better than a PS1 and sega whatever(forgot the names:o) I thought the gamecube beat the Xbox and PS2(Loved Kingdom Hearts though) Nintendo had always won with me, and this time they lose to the xbox360 in my opinion.

Dont go on with NES and SNES, I didnt play that many games back then.

see, I don't have that struggle. I hated all the Zelda games....but PSX had Symphony of the Night...while N64 had one that featured a little girl...seriously, a Castlevania game where you play as a little girl. wtf?

    What.

That's right, I'm a side scroller. So I hate overhead and first person games. That's my taste. I also don't like RPG...never played a FF game in my life.

N64 vs. PSX in terms of what the correct system used to be for an adult who bought about one game per month (and I think that's a decent barometer) is really not up for debate.

It is a little bit more interesting to debate which one is better right now if you could only have one. Since N64 has arguably the two greatest games of all-time on it, it might be close.
