Thanks seibert999 for helping me getting the TF2 ticket!!!
  • edited July 2011
I hope we dont have to beat the coop to get it since I beat the 360 version with my cousin instead.
And I finally got the Audiosurf achievement with "What kind of a hospital is this?" From the Orange Box soundtrack under Half Life 2 episodes 1 and 2. Dont know if this means anything, but I had the paint screen effect turned on.

Sales for today are up. I really wish I still had the money left to buy Universe Sandbox, but I kinda sunk it all into going overboard on divisionten's Secret Santa gifts. :D

Looks like now would be a good time to get Fallout 3, especially as it's the GotY edition.

Agh! Just when I thought I was through with this thing, more stuff that I've wanted goes on sale.

    ...Anyone need a kidney?
  • edited July 2011
And with the 2 freebies today, I get my portal 2 skins. But then I have 1 ticket left. Maybe if I can get 2 more, I can get the Beat Hazard DLC dispite me never playing it.

Of course steam is down for me again:( At least I go home tomarow.

...You told me YESTERDAY that you were braced for a Fallout 3 sale.

As for the kidney, I'd love one, but I don't want to support your purchase of Fallout 3 in any way. =P

Wait so you would refuse a kidney if it meant there is one less Fallout 3 sale? Tell me what would you do to prevent a BTTF:The game sale?

It sucks having no money. Like, literally none. So many deals, yet still too much for me. Way to be tantalizing, Valve. :(

Also, two summer achievements called Summer of '69? That must be confusing.

That reminds me, that achievement confuses me for Worms.
Do I have to give someone 31 damage, or do I have to take 31 damage, and does this work on single player or multiplayer? Along with what does 31 damage?

As long as we're talking about Steam, I've got an account now. Anyone want to friend me?

    My page is here.

I hope to get a few more achievements out of this.

Its always nice to start an account in the middle of a steam summer/holiday sale. Hopefully Ill be able to join in on the holiday sale, instead of just hunting for tickets in games I own.

Yes, but this morning I just bought Trine on impulse. Mainly so my brother and I can do co-op with one of his friends.

Oddly enough I think The Last Remnant is also on offer for £5 at the moment.

I heard the PC version was a bit better, and I think it should be worth a punt at that price.

(JRPGs on the PC are a rarity, even more so if its by a large mainstream company like SquareEnix)

I would consider picking up Fallout 3 if I hadn't bought the other two Tomb Raider games last night. I'd better stop now.

We should both pick it up and then use the same excuse for not having any money!
  • edited July 2011
You should really really really really really get Fallout 3. Hell I'll be buying it even though I shouldn't and even though I've already had it & played the hell out of it on the Xbox 360!

No thanks, I think I'll get a job instead.

Well, that's an endorsement if I ever heard one. Still, I must wrestle with my inner checkbook...er...demons, before I can spend more money today.
No thanks, I think I'll get a job instead.

B-But that will give you the opposite of an excuse for not having money!

Amnesia is on sale for 3€! If you don't have that game, get it.
  • edited July 2011
I hate my current lack of money. Can't buy a single thing from the Sale.
  • edited July 2011
Sam & Max Season 1 through 3 on sale today for 12.49USD. If anyone hasn't it's a great time to buy them.
  • edited July 2011
Nothing too major today, sam and max pack, but Im sure if you are an active member here, you would have that. As for the other sales, Terraria is a great game and for this price, it is a steal.
  • edited July 2011
Can't afford Terraria, and nothing else excites me. The Portal 2 ticket is pretty easy if you know what you're doing, if anyone wants help getting it I'd be happy to lend a hand.
  • edited July 2011
I'd love help getting the Portal 2 ticket. I'm not at home at the moment, however, so that will have to wait until I'm back in town. I currently have 19. Just need Portal 2 and Serious Sam TSE HD for today. I just purchased Terarria today. I'll be getting Magicka and Fallout 3 GOTY tomorrow seeing as they were the top sellers and will be coming back. Once I get Magicka I'm going to try getting its ticket, as well as claiming its prize. I don't have anymore of the games that the prizes are for.

I also have a gifted limited trial for Killing Floor. I assume you can get its achievement that way? I might try it.
  • edited July 2011
As for tickets, I am at the point where Ive gotten all of the prizes for games I play(Portal 2, TF2, MNC, and the free game) so Im at the point where tickets are useless considering Im not winning these contests, so I guess Im done with the steam summer event, since I couldn't get/wasnt interested in any of the sales.

I really shouldn't feel obligated to get every game I want just because it's on sale. Besides, I've already bought Tomb Raider: Anniv., Lara Croft:GOL, Batman: AA, and AudioSurf.

Hope tomorrow ain't gonna be an encore day.

So far I only picked up Amnesia: Dark Descent.
  • edited July 2011
Typical they decided to start it the day I went on holiday. Only just got back, so missed 9 or 10 sale days, doh!

Consequently, I hope tomorrow IS an encore day.
  • edited July 2011
I'm sure it will be. It always has been in the past.

    *looks at Portal 2 deal*

    ASDASFALSGSADG

Quick! Why should or shouldn't I double dip on it? Consider that it probably won't look better at all than on my 360 because my PC/Laptop are not that powerful. It's still too tempting though D:

Because the 360 version gets free DLC oh wait.
Because the co-op is free on the 360 oh wait.
Because the 360 version gets mods oh wait.

    -Actually it does IIRC.
-I still have half a year of gold and I'll renew it for fighting games anyways. Cross-platform co-op would be valid point though.
    -True

For the top point, only the first pack so far will be free on the 360.
Speaking of which, they said "in the summer of 2011" should I for once assume that will mean summer of 2011 or go by Valve time of "2012 if you are lucky"?

PS3 version gives you PC and PS3 use! >:D
(Have to link PSN and Steam account though...)
  • edited July 2011
Just used my last 6 tickets on Alien Breed 2 and Snorkels for Portal 2.
No more items on that list I am interested in.

And I also bought Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum.

Considering the only difference between the 2 are that the PC gets to buy hats, and gets modded maps.
Both can be both good and bad.

I have to stop. I have to stop. I have to stop. I have to stop. I have to stop...

I just bought Toki Tori and Rush for a buck and a half each, and the first Runaway game for 6.70.

Then... I see that I can buy Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for $2.50.... or even the whole Prince of Persia franchise since SoT for $15. okay... I don't need it... I don't need it... There will be another sale again later...

But... but IT'S A REALLY GOOD DEAL. Crap. I'm turning into a gaming shopaholic with these sales. I've already bought Audiosurf, Batman:AA, Lara Croft:GoL, and Tomb Raider:Anniv. Also quite recently Bioshock 1 & 2, Dragon Age, and Civ 4 Complete.

Okay, okay... if I buy Prince of Persia, I might be using money I could otherwise spend later on something that's actually on my wishlist.

Dang, I really am a bit of a shopaholic about these sales. It's one thing if I'm in a physical store because I can make myself walk away, but when I can buy something in 5 clicks or less, it's all the worse.

So today is the last sales/ticket fest.
Knowing Valve, it will be a massive troll move where all the prizes will change into full games.
