    I wish I could afford to go to any con, especially one that is just a short plane ride away (hell it's probably doable by train, which I would like to try one day).

    I'll be there reporting for Adventure Gamers. But before anyone does and gets disappointed, don't go there just for Telltale: it looks like their only booth is in the business area, which isn't open to the general public.

    What, SERIOUSLY??? That was about the only reason I'd ever go to the gamescom, but I never thought they'd be there, so I already have plans for that weekend... and I'd never cancel a day with two beautiful girls... been planned for months. :D

    ...but surprisingly, I'm on vacation that week. The Thursday might be a possibility!! That is, if there's anyone interesting there and the "general public" can take a look at them.

    So, TTG, knock knock, who's there??

    Looks like it will be me and someone from the JP team. Just there for press meetings this year. Nothing on the public show floor.

    That said, I'd love to meet up with any Telltale community members in attendance and hang out! Let's do it!

    Yeah, let's... we'll be there on Friday! Although we don't have press-passes ;)

    Do you know that Friday night there's a party from the German Adventure-Treff close to the fair? I think it was two years ago that Dan Connors was at that party as well (including Majus, who then became Telltale's intern for a few months :D... who will also be here this year!). We'd be happy to have you there too!

    Alan, you're coming to Cologne?! I wouldn't want to miss that.

    As I said, I could attend Thursday (any VIP tickets to be had??). Friday is a stretch (because of the before mentioned weekend date), but maybe still possible with a bit of effort.

    Wait so most of you guys won't be there until Thursday night or Friday? Eek! It's looking like we'd be heading out early Friday to get back to California on Friday (California time). With PAX being a few days later we need to rest up and be home before taking that on.

    Thursday is the first day on which the gamescom is open to the general public - that's why the Adventure-Treff gang meets on the weekend. However, I'll be enjoying my very first days of vacation this year next week, so I could be quite generous with my time.

    That only worked in Liar Liar. Also, Maura Tierney could have had "Princess Bride"'s Cary Elwes and instead chose Jim Carrey. How could that ever be realistic? ;)

    It's problematic. When the Adventure-Treff people meet, Alan will be millions... well, thousands of miles away. So we'll have to meet earlier, whoever and wherever. Alan sets the date. If I recall correctly, Leuchtschwert lives in Cologne (please don't kill me for the little joke), so he might set the place. Who of you could be there on Wednesday or Thursday?

    I guess the best chance would be Wednesday night to hang out at some bar... There's more than enough along the Rhine (although I have never experienced Cologne's nightlife on a Wednesday).

    So, who could be there on Wednesday? And is there a decent, lit and exceedingly silent non-smoker bar somewhere between the main station and the gamescom area? :D

    Now we just need to find a way to meet PRECISELY at the same four dimensional coordinates (i.e. same place, same time)... or the consequences could be CATASTROPHIC!... and even though I live in Cologne, I still don't know my way around (especially not on THAT side of the river). Should we simply meet in front of the exhibition hall and just try to find something along the Rhine? There's a train station right in front of the hall, so it should be a good spot to meet and take off...

    I could do that trip from the main station without problems. Mind you, I'm with you very much in that precise time and place thing, because I haven't got a mobile. ;)

    What about you check out the area first? You still got one week to find us THE ideal place and maybe make a reservation there.

    Having said that: why not all meet at YOUR place? :p Because, guys, once you've seen Laserschwert's console / game / game poster collection you'll never want to leave again! :D

    Yeah, there are a few bars in that area along the Constantinstr. (StreetView is your friend), and even our regular pub for our monthly "Indiana Jones" forum meetups (as if I didn't appear nerdy enough :D).

    Honestly, I DID think about meeting at my place (and actually the two trains taking off in front of the exhibition hall go aaaaall the way to my place... no changing trains necessary... and the last train back leaves at around 1 in the morning).

    Right now there's only one reason to go to "1" on the map at all, and that's Alan... and there's only one reason to go to "2"... and that's Alan again ;)

    @Alan: Where exactly do you guys reside during gamescom?

    I'll be in Cologne from Monday to Saturday. I'll be at the "Adventure-Treff Treff" as well.
    Will also be at GDC Europe.

    So, who wants to meet, when and where and why? :D
