Well, I made an avatar from Tales of Monkey Island, but here's the thing: I censored my own image so that I can "participate" in the protest. Here it is:
The U.S. Supreme Court now rules that public domain items can now be recopyrighted?! Excuse me for a minute... AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! The U.S. Supreme Court TRULY hates free speech! They don't even know that public domain items getting re-copyrighted will soon be destroyed by SOPA/PIPA! IDIOTS!!!!!!!
I wrote my senators a month or so ago about PIPA. One of them was a co-sponsor, and he replied a day later about how wonderful the bill was, etc., etc. Today, he just withdrew his co-sponsorship. He should listen to me.
The other senator just replied yesterday, probably after having gone through the back archive looking for relevant letters in advance of the big day, and replied that copyright infringement is a big problem, but this might not be the right solution, and my views would be kept in mind.

That decision is perfectly legit IMO. The works in question were never out of copyright, just out of U.S. copyright. Since we're part of a global community we need to adhere to international claims.
I feel like this person has been reading my mind. I've been telling everyone I know the same thing. After all, BBC is four hundred dollars richer because I was able to stream a few episodes of Doctor Who on youtube. I don't consider that a loss for them.
We can type the word 'dicks' here. Censoring yourself in a thread like this is pretty retarded.
***** you and the wheelchair you rode in on, you **** ***** **** ***************** ***********************************************************************************.
The problem is you give Internet freedom opponents talking points against you with these actions, IMO
So all the people who like pirating shit and having freedom will go to the darknet and all the people too technically illiterate to care can stay on their neutered, castrated internet.

Um...the more sites that participate, the better. This needs to inconvenience lots of people so they pay attention.
Not for me, it isn't. (EST)
EDIT: Now it is.
Again, that's the point. If SOPA passes this stuff could actually happen on a regular basis. Imagine if PayPal was taken down?
Do OCs based on a franchise count as copyright infringement?
I think you meant to say "Completely original character inspired by...". I knew those Futurama commentary tracks would help at some point in my life.
Can you imagen the sadness on the TTG forum if I was forced to change the smoking monkey iscon.
Right now, I can only imagine you, saying this: Link to YouTube that will hopefullly not get deleted.

Also, good news: More and more co-sponsors are withdrawing their names from SOPA/PIPA.

I'll join you if we get to loot stuff. I need more basmatic rice.

I wouldn't really be supportive, either, if the MegaUpload takedown wasn't exactly the type of takedown that SOPA/PIPA would allow any company to do.
Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of justice being served.

In other news, Jon Stewart takes on SOPA by comparing it to a plan that will prevent teen pregnancy by filling dicks with cement!

I disagree with that comparison. Filling dicks with cement would probably actually work.

That had occurred to me, but I'd rather savor the moment just a little bit longer. I mean, the timing couldn't have been more perfect, really.
And yet we can't still can't type ********. Go figure.
