"Compared to girls, research shows that boys in the U.S. are more likely to be diagnosed with a behavior disorder, prescribed stimulant medications, fail out of school, binge drink, commit a violent crime, and/or take their own lives.
Jennifer Siebel Newsom's new documentary film, The Mask You Live In, asks: As a society, how are we failing our boys?
But yeah, I'm really pushing it lately. I'll try and cool off now. I've also changed the joke to something a shade less offensive, hopefully that isn't quite so bad.
To both get back on topic and change the subject, Alice: Otherlands (which I keep wanting to call OtherWORLDS, for some reason) is over a quarter funded. This pleases me greatly.
Yeah, not "Haha, ONLY gay men am i ri--I mean women! Only women suck, am I ri--what? Uh, uh, uh, sex something iduno okay going to bed bye please don't hurt me."
Not only are we back on topic (thank you), but it's with a damn good cause well worth $10.
EDIT: Dammit, this always happens. Someone links to a project on Kickstarter, and then I look at some more, and before you know it, I've backed 5 other ones. I HAVE NO WILLPOWER.
Might as well share them, since I wouldn't have backed them if they weren't worthy of mention:
So Telltale games would cease to be episodic if they didn't play credits or go back to the menu after each episode's ending. Got it.
Walking Dead is now non-episodic on PS3. Telltale screwed something up so that the stats list shown at the end of each episode is blank, and furthermore freezes the game. You have to quit the game at that point and thus do not see the closing credits. No closing credits, not episodic.
Ouya's "Free the Games" program is scummy garbage that was named by somebody who has a complete inability to not only recognize irony, but accept it as a valid concept.
He says he can do the entire video in one minute if he gets 100,000 $. Don't y'all want to see that, eh? Isn't that like the best stretch goal ever? ONE MINUTE?!?
[Link removed. Don't want to give these guys traffic, do I.]
Game looks great. But they've set the bar at half a million, which is just too darn high. Also, they have a lot of unknown people in the video waving their arms like cheap rappers, sporting a plethora of foreign accents in varying levels of intelligibility. Not exactly for the American backer demographic, that pitch video.
They're five days in and at a meagre 5% of their funding goal. Much has to happen for this one to succeed...
/edit: Strike that last sad face. From their reddit Q&A:
Focussing on Steam will be the first step for Ravensdale, we will expand from there step by step
[...]
That depends highly on the path we chose to take when we reach the end of the production. If we go for DRM we propably will make a Steam Account a requirement. If we decide to go Steam and DRM-free in parallel, we will probably give the choise to the players, if they want to connect to Steam or not.
[...]
Your wish has been heard and will be for sure on our tables when we reach the point of decision making (Though, I do not think steam will suffer that fate X3 ... Steam has become its own meme, and propably as resilient as cute kitten videos on the Internet (And I for one, welcome our new kitten overlords!))
FUND STEAM EXCLUSIVE GAMES! ONLY ON KICKSTARTER!
For the love of everything that's holy in the video game world, don't give those people your money. You'd fund DRM and one single digital publisher and that's that. This is the complete opposite of the Kickstarter spirit and they will have to learn that ASAP. And I will stop now because I feel rant words of fawfulian proportions coming up.
He actually explained why it'd cost so much on the Kickstarter page - or rather, the pitch video.
It astounds me how negative the Newgrounds forum is, especially when they all ask the same question "why $10,000 for a stick figure anim?" and the answer is RIGHT THERE ON THE KICKSTARTER PAGE and they can't be bothered to find out themselves.

The teaser trailer for Project Fedora has been released. The game now has a title; 'Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure'. Check it out here. It's looking as awesomely cheesy as ever (and I mean that in the best possible sense).
Also, note the line at the end of the trailer. I'd say that it strongly hints towards a good/evil branching story (ala 'The Pandora Directive). I can't wait for my boxed copy of this game to arrive in the post whenever it's finished (I just hope that my old PC is up to running it).
Other people are definitely having the same trouble as me, and Telltale said they were looking into it on the support forum. Could be a number of different factors for why some have a problem and some don't.

Pinball Arcade is so good. Let's hope Addam's Family is coming!
Somebody already made LIMBO.
We don't need to make it again.
It was made once.
It was okay.
...ish.
Because this one has you carrying a kid on your back and you need to leave him behind while you clear a path and then go back to get them and stuff!
...wait.
(Honestly - I just thought it looked really, really pretty, and I've bought games for less)
It has 3 days left
Please help make the table funded

It works just fine on my PS3
Holy shit, that is another Limbo.... but it has a red scarf!
I love the Giger-esque aesthetic on this.
Holy shit that's a GUY over there HE'S SO SMALL holy shit the scale of this thing is so awesome!
If you like freedom suppport this project.
The artist is Andree Wallin.

Looks great, though. I should have backed that. Will definitely buy it.
Supposedly the tricky part is going to be getting the Raul Julia license.
