"The Walking Dead: Starved for Help will be available later this month. Telltale cited that the certification process with Xbox Live was the reason for the delay but that it would be ready any day now. They also emphasized that the strategy for a dedicated release schedule is currently being worked out. Once the episode releases, feel free to come back here and check out our full review. If you’re still on the fence about picking up this game, then please do yourself a favor and check out our review of A New Day."

They know people are mad about the late release and they're working a dedicated schedule out.

They know People want the game.

They understand they may lose potential new fans.

    THEY KNOW! THEY'RE TRYING!!!

This changes my view a bit.

I can't understand what is wrong with people. I think TTG is doing one heck of a job. The games they come out with are incredible and are totally worth the wait. If people are going to get so mad about waiting for each episodes then they need to stop doing the pre-order and just wait for the game to come out. Every game I have pre-ordered I have had to wait for the next episode just like everyone else, sometimes waiting even 2 months and it has totally been worth the wait. I have been totally happy with every game I have bought from here. I can't believe how much crap TTG has had to deal with from immature customers. TTG will never lose my business, I TOTALLY SUPPORT TTG and I THINK TTG IS DOING AN INCREDIBLE JOB!!!!! I give them 2 thumbs up!!! :D

You guys at TTG, take all the time you need cause I know the other 4 episodes are going to be incredible. I think you guys/gals are totally AWSOME!!!!!!

Hey, they had delayed Jurassic Park 7 months so they could make it totally awsome, refunded the money for those who pre-ordered and gave them a coupon code for them to use to get Jurassic Park for free. What other game company is going to do that? It ended up being worth the wait and instead of waiting for each episode, we got the entire game when it was released in November last year. It was so good I bought it for both the PC and the X-box 360.

I get it, and I will wait, but it said on the product description, that the episodes will come monthly, not every three months. That won't piss off me, but it will to others.

Three months? Who estimated three months? June's not over yet! ;)

    Lol!

Am I the only one here who sees the irony in this?

Now that TTG aren't communicating with you over the lack of release there's a shit fight brewing. Kinda just like what happened with the country I live in missing out. Except now it's affecting you.

So (insert sarcasm tags here) It's not TTGs fault. It's your governments fault. Don't blame TTG, they have no control. TTG doesn't have to tell you they aren't releasing it. They'll give it to you when they can. Why are you complaining here? Just buy it on PC or Mac. Etc etc (end sarcasm)

Heres a question I started up TWDG today and saw from TTG and Skybound entertainment... so ... whats these sky peoples part in all this. Are they catching any flak for the delays?

Skybound is the imprint of Image Comics that Robert Kirkman uses to publish his comics (including The Walking Dead). It's just listed there for licensing purposes.

same applies to bttf the game...which i enjoyed..all the flac it got was for easy puzzles (like twd) the graphics (cartoon style) and the delays and some story aspects...i'm a fan of the films and the old cartoon tv show..

i have yet to play jurassic park..the first film was ok but the sequels where kinda lame..

I've only played 'The Walking Dead' and even though I really enjoyed it I wouldn't call it 'incredible'. I'd call it value for money, a fun diversion, a cheap thrill but not incredible. Perhaps as the series progresses it will become more emotionally involving, and therefore incredible, but if the 2nd episode is similar to the 1st (brief meetings and character background stories interspersed with a little action) I wouldn't say it was worth the 9 week (I hope) wait.

They already said that the first episode had its training wheels on it so that you got used to the game and its elements. Of course there was not a lot of action...it's an adventure game...not an action rpg. People seem to keep forgetting that.

Back to the Future was a lot of fun for those of us that saw and enjoyed the movies. The voice acting was great and I was in it more for the story then anything else. Lots of fun little Easter eggs as well!

I haven't played JP yet as I have been skirted from it by bad reviews, but that being said? There's still a chance that I'll go back and give it a whirl. Hell, I just restarted playing Fable again so why not?

i feel that bttf suffered for my aforementioned issues and people where put off by them, if it had been like the many gta mods/crymod it would of been trully epic '( afew of my mates bitched and moaned about the graphics, imo how sad are people to be that petty?) and they missed out the ability to drive the delorean even if it was brief true the game would still be in development though ;)

i may wait till jp is cheap as chips then try it :P

It sounds like you guys who complain or not happy don't really know how to enjoy anything. Nothing will ever be good enough for you. You guys need to loosen up and try to find fun in life, I'm sure reading a good book is too sophisticated for you. With a closed mind, nothing will ever be good enough and you will never enjoy anything life has to offer. Plus TWD was incredible and if you stop and think about it and watch the E3 video you would see there is a reason there are brief encounters and character background stories because it shapes how the rest of the season plays out and with your choices shaping the outcome of the game, there are multiple possible endings. Plus who you choose to save and the answers you give also shapes the outcome of the game and as the game progresses you will get to know more of the other characters in the game who did not end up dying in the first episode. You need to let the story unfold, the first episode is like the beginning of the movie, you know little about the characters and the action is just beginning. But as the story unfolds you get to know more about the other characters and even more action happens. Plus there was more than enough action and if you ever watch scary movies, you would see that the movies play out the same way TWD does in the first episode. Plus when you play it a second time and make different choices and save different characters the game plays out differently than the first time playing it and the ending will be different. Almost like having a second game.

But if you prefer playing ping pong, get yourself an Atari.
Plus I am better in determining if a game is good or not, I own over 5,000 games, dating back to the first dot matrix games in the late 1980's to current day graphic games and I have seen how far games have come over the past 25 years. Besides PC games, I also have a Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, X-box 360 and a PSP. I only buy really good games, I never waste my money on crappy games.

Yes, but then it wouldn't be a Telltale game. Telltale makes adventure games...period. They don't make GTA style games or FPS games. No RPGs, no Strategy games. They made two puzzle games but that's about all the wiggle they have given.

I like what you wrote, you understand what I mean about how great the games are and you're right BTTF was a lot of fun, especially if you saw the movies and the voice acting was great and being into it for the story is just the right attitude, you know how to enjoy life and a good game.:D I know you will love Jurassic Park, and I hope you enjoy it.

Oh and I love Fable, I have all 3 of them. Plus don't let reviews deter you, what do they know. They probably think watching paint dry is fun.

I hadn't heard that, it's great to know.
I didn't mind a lack of action, I had no idea how the game would play when I bought it, I was expecting a brainless shooter ala Left for Dead, so I was pleasantly surprised it was a more cerebal experience.

Yeah I enjoyed TWD, it was fun, looked nice but I didn't find it incredible. I did say perhaps it becomes incredible as it progresses. Personally, I found parts of Dead Space 2/ Res Evil 5/ Heavy Rain incredible, hopefully TWD can reach those heights in its own unique way.
Don't worry I'm sophisticated enough to understand exposition and good books (why the need for insults?)
I've watched 1000s of movies but wouldn't be so arrogant as to say my opinion is worth more than someone who hasn't watched 'The Seventh Seal', because taste is subjective, I love some highbrow cinema but also have a passion for Euroshit exploitation.

I'm not really sure how Microsoft could get the blame here. Telltale probably had to go through the Certification process with the first Episode. They should be prepared.

Sony and Microsoft probably aren't very happy with Telltale, I wouldn't be if I were them. I'm sure they got a lot of backlash like they can some control over the delay or game release. All they know is what the company tells them. They are more third-party than anything else. It's like a company making shirts and having a new brand at a certain release date. If they miss that date, it isn't the retail stores fault, it is the companies.

Telltale should be prepare to deal with Microsoft and Sony certifications, like I said, they probably had to do it with the first Episode. This shouldn't be a surprise...

Sorry I once made a thread on the BSN anthropomorphizing Bioware implying it had begun cheating on our "Relationship" with it's new features in ME3 and DA2 and how i ended up leaving it for the Dominatrix known as Capcom who abused me constantly but brought back my favorite character for RE6 and it actually got a few people making their own versions. But perhaps jabs at both Microsoft and TTG was over the top here.

I don't remember them saying it was because they weren't prepared for the certification...in fact what they did say was that certification takes about 2-3 weeks and is out of their hands at that point... Meaning at this point, its microsoft and sony holding up release.

(Direct quotes) But when i watch all the conferences about the game, the site, the forms they simply only talk about how cool their game is that they have ideas for future games. I have yet to hear them touch base to the gamer about the delay's. I mean I've searched forms internet and trusted gaming websites if you are finding them then that's great but .... If there needs to be hours of searching and looking for those answers then they are simply not keeping people informed well enough. Sorry telltale I am a fan of the game, but the service and respect are gone. not to say it cant be redeemed but you have to get back onto the ball. best of luck

    Last paragraph says

"Episode 2 will be available "around the end of June"—the only reason there isn't a firm release date is that they're waiting to hear back on the certification process."

This was just 3 days ago.

So chances are they're either going to hear something this week and if not expect the game to come out early next month hopefully.

Probably a bug if PS3 AND Xbox are needing to continue verifying it. Has to be something universal and I doubt they go through every single choice! That would be crazy.
