Kenny never leaves Lee to die- or anyone(except Larry, but screw Larry, Larry tried to kill you in Ep1) for that matter. In fact, Kenny saves Lee's life in Ep1 no matter how badly you treat him. If Kenny starts saying you never did anything for him, then it's obviously true. Even then, you CAN persuade him to help you by telling him Clem's like family to you- no matter HOW badly you treated him. To me, Kenny was always the logical one(except maybe the Larry incident, but that's just one time) while Lily treated everyone like crap. Besides, how can you NOT feel bad for a man who witnessed his son get bitten AND his wife commit suicide on the same day? Besides, Kenny sacrifices his life(maybe? Puts his own life in massive danger, at least) to either put Ben out of his misery or save Christa's life. I wish more people would stop being so blind and ignorant and start actually focusing on the good aspects of Kenny- which outweigh the bad ones.
Anyway, I hope that if Kenny comes back, there'll be an option to kill him JUST TO STOP THESE HATERS WHINING ABOUT HIM
Kenny was a dick to me through almost my entire playthrough. I couldnt believe how many times he left me die. Still, I put up with his garbage… more until he refused to help me find Clementine and then gave me that BS speech about how I never did anything for him. Ive never been so mad at a video game character in my life. As weird as that sounds, it still makes me mad to think about it. Good job Telltale, I guess lol.
Um ok where not whining where just observing. Kenny does leave you to die in episode 1 if you refuse to kill Larry when you fight Danny and yet again during the beginning on episode 2 when you raid the store. I felt bad for him and yes he was a hero in the end, but that does not make his behavior any less wrong. The fact that you have to "convince" someone to save a little girls life is sad, it should not even get to that. I don't hate Kenny he has good qualities, but those good qualities sadly are also flaws( which is normal). He is the definition of a tragic hero.

leaving the super hater and super fan business aside, it could prove to be pretty hard to kill Kenny, seeing as we will be playing Clem next season. I think he might be a bit too much for her to handle.
Oh and to add on I remember someone mentioning this Kenny says "Leave her" (referring to Lily) when the bandits attack in Episode 2 so obviously his intention is to kill while trying to not look like the bad guy. And do note this is before Lily even kills anyone. Do you not see anything wrong with that. Lily has shown no intent on killing Kenny and actually understands why he did what he did but Kenny wishes to kill the woman who he has had disputes with and probably deems a "threat" because of her instability. An instability Kenny caused.
Kenny didn't want to kill Lily. He wanted to leave her behind, which is different. She could easily have escaped if that had happened- the motel wasn't exactly surrounded on all 4 sides. Kenny's intention was just to get out of there as fast as possible, while Lily was dragging the group behind by standing there not even trying to get in the RV. Besides, Kenny didn't want to spend a road trip listening to Lily complaining and finger-pointing.

First he didn't even know about the traitor in the group all he knew was that there was a broken flashlight. True maybe Lily was lagging a bit I'll give you that. But in the Zombie apocalypse leaving someone behind is pretty much killing them. You don't know if she'll make it out. You don't know what she'll encounter. How would you feel if you where covering your group from both bandits and walkers and you group just left you all alone? Plus do you know how hard it is to catch up to moving vehicle?

I don't think Kenny intended to actually leave Lilly behind just so that she'd be killed or because he hated her. Granted, him hating her probably made the choice easier, but I saw it as Kenny refusing to wait around for anyone while the motel was being swarmed by walkers and bandits. While it would be pretty shitty to be left behind if I was covering my group from bandits and zombies, if they all got killed waiting for me, I'd feel pretty bad for causing their deaths. I didn't want to leave her, and when he said that I told him to fuck himself, but it was actually a sound decision if you think about it. What is one life compared the lives of everyone else in the group? What makes Lilly special enough to risk EVERYONE'S lives for?

Although I brought Lilly with me, mainly out of guilt because I felt bad for killing Larry and making her mentally unstable but for what she did I'm pretty sure she deserved to die or be left behind. She outright tried to shoot Ben in front of the whole group or just shot Carly point blank in the face for no apparent reason. Ben might of been the traitor but she had no solid evidence and ended up killing Doug! Yeah she might of been called a bitch by Carly but do you need to shoot her in the face? No.
@Rock114, Rock114 I'm not saving Lilly's special but he gave no warning beforehand, he went straight to the "Leave her" option. he wasn't like "Lilly hurry up" or "Lilly we have no more time". It was his attitude that made him seem off in my opinion.
@Cactus_Sauce um this is about Kenny. All I can say about Lilly is shes mentally unstable and stressed, bad things are gonna happen. Is it sad? Yes. Was it wrong? Yes. But she did have reason and that reason pushed her to the edge. She was already in a sense betrayed by the group she did not want it happen again. In her mind either Ben or Carley where a "threat" and would cause more harm then good in the end. Was she wrong? Sort of.

If you don't kill Larry, Kenny just sits and watches as zombies try to fucking eat you. He doesn't run, try to kill ANY of the zombies, anything. He just gets that "fuck you" look on his face and watches. Fuck Kenny.

if you don't choose to save duck in ep. 1, he will backstab Lee and leave Lee to the walkers every chance he gets though, even if you side wit… moreh him on everything else from that point on. He only "cares" for his family so that he's not alone. just look at how he forces his son to suffer to his last breath, and then is angry and not sad about kat.
That's why some people love to hate him. He's a horrible, selfish person if you dont side with him just about 100% of the time. with Kenny, there is no "grey area," you have to kiss his ass the whole game for him not to be a prick.
He has a godly stache though lol
Wait what do you mean by door? Are you talking about RV door being left open?
And on the second part I totally agree. Jeezus and the fact that he says "There everywhere you took care of yourself didn't you" when Lee was struggling. Ya and you where looking after yourself too Kenny, right buddy.

@Saylenia you say Kenny didn't save Shawn after saving Duck he had to it was his son of course he would rescue Duck but if you chose either way saving Duck or Shawn you would of got kicked out of Hershel's farm anyway no point.
I totally agree. I was so pissed at kenny i didn't know what to do! It made me think about how he didn't even save shawn once duck was free. H… moree may have you back if you sided with him but it is possible that he will turn on you later in the game. Not once has he attempted to save clem and he only want's lee around to protect his family. also the choice makes me think that he just wanted to get rid of larry him self! If lilly doesn't have her dad there is no one to back her up and he can be the leader. As the episodes continue it start to show his true nature.Theres one thing to protect your family but once you are in the situation that they are in now you form a new family. I had to create a whole new storage save just for kenny i am just that pissed at him lol
Lily does the same thing if you kill Larry- sure, it's much more justified with Lily, as you did kind of kill her father, but Kenny thinks that if Larry hadn't been killed, at least one person in the locker room would have been bitten by him. Sure, he may have been wrong, but in his mind, he's as justified to not help you as Lily would be. Besides, Kenny doesn't have a gun at that moment; Lily, however, does.

@James101 Kenny had already got his son out of the danger zone. I understand that he must save his son but he was out of the fricken danger zone he was already saved.

@Backtothemonkeyisland No Kenny has a salt lick. Same result. A person still died. Lily is unstable Kenny is not. I understand why Kenny did and what he did, however because I did not agree on his point view he allows me to die? That's still wrong. And I wasn't even a dick to him I tried to be his friend, I helped save Duck, I fed Duck, I tried to reason with Larry and then told him off. I just had different views on Larry and Ben when it came to the killing. And I stayed neutral during Kenny's and Lilly's petit power struggle and he hated me for it. I not gonna agree with someone all the time to be there friend that's not how friendship works.

@James101 That does not mean you do not attempt to save a person life. There is always a chance especially with two people. I'm not gonna be all like "I think the brakes jammed good luck with the walkers". The key word is "think" or in you case "pretty sure".
@CartoonMischief but if u try to save him parts of his body are crushed and Shawn has lived half of his life anyway not Duck hes just a kid and in Episode 1 when your in the drug store and you have to save Doug or Carley you don't have the chance to save two people you only save one the game is played by the choices you make if they let u save two people you could then but you cannot and where was Hershel he didn't give a Damn he should of watched his son Shawn and when the fence broke he would of heard them both yelling for help he only came when his son died.

Saved Shawn (he won it for me with his "Couldn't leave you behind").
Fed Larry/Clem/Duck in the drugstore.
I agreed every single time Kenny talked about leaving (It was honestly the thing that made the most sense at the moment).
Fed Clem/Duck/Lilly/Kenny in episode 2.
Sided with Lilly in the meatlocker
Brought back Lilly in the RV and choose that option to "leave with her and Clementine"
Reasonned with Kenny about his son.
With all of that you could assume I'm a pretty hardcore Lilly fan, but I'm not, I far prefer Kenny to her to be honest. And even with all of that Kenny still came with me when I said that "Clementine is my family". Unless you absolutely go out of your way to bash him throughout the game he should still come with you in Episode 4. Regardless, in the beginning he saves your ass and in the end he apologizes for everything he has done that might've hurt others. And that is why I think he's a great man and respect him. In my subsequent playthroughs I found myself siding with him even more.
Kenny represents the archetype of the "Devoted Fatherly Figure during the ZA".
It's easy for the player to think "Oh well IF Larry comes back as a walker I'll just reload my save, no problem OHOHOHO". But if it was real ? Man I would take no chance at Clementine being devoured to save someone who tried to kill me and went out of his way to be an asshole to everyone but his daughter.
I wasn't thinking that at all. I was thinking that two big men and a tough woman could take a single fucking zombie. If Clem could take a zombie, then so can those 3.

Maybe put Kenny was quite hasty to get that salt lick an companion. Yes agree Kenny apologizing is an admirable thing to do. But holding a grudge on Lee as an excuse for not help a kid in danger is deeply flawed. I fact that you have to convince someone to help another. Plus Kenny knows Clementine does he not care enough to put his rivalry with Lee behind without being "persuaded' otherwise?

And you think Lilly would want to kill her father? Plus, Larry managed to take out Lee and Kenny with one punch so yeah, Larry would be strong as fuck as a zombie.
I wasn't thinking that at all. I was thinking that two big men and a tough woman could take a single fucking zombie. If Clem could take a zombie, then so can those 3.
It is heavily shown throughout the game that Larry's a walking piledriver. Tell Kenny to punch him in the drugstore, he barely budges and knocks him out in one punch, he knocks out Lee too later in one punch. In episode 2 he is the only adult that has been fed relatively properly (Lilly skipped rations to keep him tip top condition).
In the meat locker compare everyone's condition. Kenny and Lee didn't eat anything depending on how you distributed rations before while Larry was still fed properly and ate some of the food at the table. Kenny says that he almost passed out from just walking to the diary, just WALKING, it shows how bad their conditions were at that time.
You expect them to take on a walker with no body injuries (it's not like Larry's missing half an arm or something) in that state ? No chance in HELL. Lilly would probably be too horrified and stunned to help killing her walker dad.
Believe me, when you think about it, Kenny's decision made the most sense by far, I'm not saying it's the "right" choice, but it's the most logical full stop. And even though most people bash him for that I doubt more than 5% of the players would help Larry if that situation was real.
I wasn't thinking that at all. I was thinking that two big men and a tough woman could take a single fucking zombie. If Clem could take a zombie, then so can those 3.
@James 101 Shawn's body isn't crushed it was trapped. I understand your point I went to save Duck too but after you save Duck Lee motions to save Shawn but Kenny continues to scamper off instead of helping. I'm not sure where Hershel was I assumed he went for his gun.
As far as I know, there are three "musts" to get Kenny in the green: 1) Save Duck at the farm, 2) Protect Duck from Larry at the drugstore, and C) side with Kenny in the meat locker.
If I didn't do any of the above, Kenny would be in straight-up dick mode by the time we have to rescue Clementine. Even if I ask him to help me for Clem's sake, he retorts with "I oughtta knock you flat," obviously referring to the incident on the farm. That was the one and only time I wanted to murder Kenny outright.

@CartoonMischief but still he couldn't save Shawn because you could only save one person not two one otherwise they would let you save two people it's played by the choices you make and how you act around others and Kenny scampered off to get his son to safety and Hershel was in the Barn with a rake raking the Hay and when he came I think he didn't have a gun on him but when you say Shawn trapped it's difficult to get Shawn out of that situation.

Just because it seemed unlikely to save Shawn doesn't mean that you can't try. That was NOT one of Kenny's finest moments. He panicked, fled, left Shawn to die. Would Shawn have survived even if Kenny had some to help? I doubt it, but we'll never know for sure. Even if Lee chooses Duck, he says "Kenny, help me!" and tries to help Shawn, when Kenny just bolts. That doesn't make Kenny a bad person though, just human. Not only does he save Lee after Larry leaves him to die later on (no matter what Lee's choices have been up to that point) he blames himself for what happened to Shawn and keeps that with him up until the end of the Season. So while that isn't one of his best scenes, it doesn't make him a bad person.

True. However, Lee still seemed to be all there. All it would really take is one smart person. Lee could totally take care of Larry. Sure, Larry's stronger, but Lee went through a horde of walkers with one arm. ONE. ARM. I don't think one zombie could take out Lee unless it was the size of a tank. In fact, the only ones that ever even got close to him were the ones that caught him off guard. Also, they get a moments notice when someone's returning from the dead (nigh instantaneous rotting for instance), so Kenny could just drop the salt lick if Larry starts having chunks of flesh fall off.

@James101 I understand you can only make one choice. However when you choice to save Duck Lee actually starts to motion towards Shawn to help him. Kenny is still running off not to help. And during that moment while Lee is distracted Shawn is killed. Would Lee and Kenny be able to save Shawn in time if they had both helped? We don't know. Yes it would be difficult to help Shawn while hes trapped. That doesn't mean not to attempt to help someone. Oh and Hershel did have his gun when he finally came back but he was already to late.

Sort of.
One word. Door.
A few more words.
If you don't kill Larry, Kenny just sits and watches as zombies try to fucking eat you. He doesn't run, try to kill ANY of the zombies, anything. He just gets that "fuck you" look on his face and watches. Fuck Kenny.
Not true. i tryed to save shaun and he saved me from the walkers at the end of episode 1. all i did was side with him against larry.
@Lord_zasca I think we where talking about Episode 3. At the beginning when the walkers find Lee and Kenny.
@James101 Kenny had already got his son out of the danger zone. I understand that he must save his son but he was out of the fricken danger zone he was already saved.
@CartoonMischief
@Lord_zasca
I meant the pharmacy part. Later when you're raiding it for medicine in Episode 3. If you don't kill Larry, he just sits and watches.
@CartoonMischief the tractor was stuck on Shawn and I'm pretty sure the brakes were jammed as well so there was no way of getting him out
@Backtothemonkeyisland
Not to mention the fact that she kills someone 5 minutes later...
My VERY FIRST playthrough :
@Byakuren
Also, they get a moments notice when someone's returning from the dead (nigh instantaneous rotting for instance), so Kenny could just drop the salt lick if Larry starts having chunks of flesh fall off.
no one said he was a bad person
@James101 I understand you can only make one choice. However when you choice to save Duck Lee actually starts to motion towards Shawn to help him. Kenny is still running off not to help. And during that moment while Lee is distracted Shawn is killed. Would Lee and Kenny be able to save Shawn in time if they had both helped? We don't know. Yes it would be difficult to help Shawn while hes trapped. That doesn't mean not to attempt to help someone. Oh and Hershel did have his gun when he finally came back but he was already to late.
Its not Kenny's fault family comes first
