its a complete joke anyway, steam can sod off as it is, their customer service is almost as bad as telltales, in fact is probably on the lowest level pissing possible. WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE
Valve has around three hundred employees, TellTale, about 90. Support costs money, money means lower quality games, and bothy studios agree that they will not release a product unless it meets their quality standard. And if you haven't found the good support, then you are not looking at the forums close enough, the best way to get support from either Steam/Valve or TellTale is to post in the related forum/thread, and get help from the community.

which isn't customer service then really is it. Its fellow gamers/or whatever the relevant field is helping you out rather than the company :L
and yeah i understand telltale having a smaller workforce, but its out for Xbox, why dont they just release it at the same time :L
When i am at work and a costomer calls and says we need it till 29.08.2012,
i finish it as fast as possible.
When i say oh not its not done yet its not midnight i get a ass kick.....
And when its released at 29.08.2012 i dont care about USA. I wake up its 29.08.2012 and it needs to be done i dont care about PST i care about GMT+1.
you don't get how this works i think, it's an american based company, wether you like it or not, they operate on their time. Now on the midnight issue, Steam never does midnight releases apart from BIG games like the call of duties and such, so stop crying and wait, it sucks if it's later for you than it is for them, but that's not their fault, blame the earth rotating around the sun.

TellTale games are always released during the regular business hours at the TellTale Offices in California. so it is 29/8/2012, between the hours of(If I recall correctly) 10AM and 5PM

Because of software Certification processes are different for console and PC, File hierarchy is slightly different, even the code itself is slightly different. Each platform a game is released on is basically the same core product but must be polished for each platform differently. Not to mention last minute bug fixes, PC's tend to have those more because unlike consoles, they aren't all the same and have the same hardware specs,(with only slight variations)

there are enought companys give 2 release dates one for USA one fore Europe.

I don't mind to wait, it's OK, because I love their games. But I don't get why it has always to be like this. People freak out, everyone's waiting and complaining... And in the end they say "sorry" and that's it.
Don't they learn from that? Is it that big of a deal to have ONE day in two months where one or two employees are working in the night to "switch the button" so everyone on the planet is happy and able to download the game (PC/Mac from Telltale servers)?
But in the end, we don't know what they're doing and why we have to wait, because they don't tell us.

Pc games are not as hard to make like a console machine. Its the other way around.

Then we would get the same problem anyway. If they are waiting till midnight then the game would have been ready when the office closed at 5pm local time or whatever so people would just complain that it wasn't released then. Its 8.09pm here, i will probably just leave my PC on overnight and hopefully it will be ready to play in the morning. Then I have something to look forward to when I finish work tomorrow afternoon.

You have your opinion, and I disagree, there are many more variables with PCs then with consoles.
Both have their merits, and both have their demerits, a simultaneous release on all platforms would be hard with the way TellTale Develops games, it would be like trying to achieve simultaneous ignition on a hundred rockets(which is nearly impossible). Either they come out at different times, or the they could delay it for a six months so all the platforms will get it the same day.
........Fallout three was a moneygrab/sham, Morriwind, acceptable, the only GOOD game released by that studio would be skyrim, and even that suffers from the failings of the gamesbryo engine
I haven't finished fallout new vegas or fallout 3 either, even though both are installed in computer with all dlc. I haven't gotten around to finish them but their both fun.
TTG need to get their act together. I'll hold them to their monthly release.
I think for Europe if it is a mid-night release in the States it will be around 6:00pm for us in England. But knowing TTG they will make us wait till September just because it is TTG.

OK, that's right. But they could at least work it out (one or two days before release). I mean, if AMC says TWD airs at 10 p.m. it airs at 10 p.m. and not 6 hours later. It's possible to work this shit out. It's not like they're doing it the first time.

That is not a proper analogy, TV media production is usually complete a week or so before hand, so people like Standards and Practices can pick over it and edit it. Not to mention post-filming special effects and such. The latest I have heard a master being sent out is twenty four hours before airtime.
matter of the fact is, all 5 episodes shoulda been out by now. If you're going to release a game shouldn't everything be complete. If that was the case it would mean: the monthly releases like they said, or all 5 episodes woulda been released together. And before people start bitching, if AMC did this (making one episode, then making the next in the space between episodes) there would be huge uproar. Telltale's system is stupid and there is no two ways about it
Where does the blame lie with the PC release time? Steam? Telltale?...
They have it on offer on Steam and have the nerve to treat the new customers by not actually releasing the 3rd part... God knows how you guys who've been waiting for weeks feel.
I have achievements for the 3rd season showing in Steam but obviously not the actual game.
It would be nice to actually give us a precise time, this thing should of been unlocked at midnight as surely its been ready for release for sometime.
I was going to get some other games by Telltale as this is really good - but I'm not supporting a software house as disrespectful to its PC customers as this one.

What's there to get? Valve and Telltale are in PST, that's what they go by. The end.

Got a point there....
We go through this EVERY time there is a new release.
No midnight releases.
Released during Telltale's operating hours (about 9AM to 6PM PST)
Time zones!
Thanks!

Motor mad! Motor Smash!
So, if you say "it's out", you're out...

I cant imagine that they are fixing bugs and stuff now anyway. Its more likely something to do with marketing or contracts with PSN and Xbox Live.

mate its 8.15pm in England now
DelayDellGames.. ._.
This is a video game, not a TV series.
For PC? Most likely sometime between now and 6pm Telltale time - that's 3am Thursday in Amsterdam.

My bad I meant release 6:00AM
