http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoMMMalj9Fw (This is the worst fan film ever. It can make you laugh so hard (unfortunately not because it's meant to be funny) that you won't be able to breath and you'll die. Watch this at your own risk.)
Yeah i'll admit after watching that it was pretty bad.
First off, really? 2 Sonic fans who sing the word ''Sega'' at the start of Sonic 2 are randomly picked by Sonic & Shadow to help them? Second, they just wear a blue shirt and blue shorts to try look like Sonic and the same for Shadow. It reminds me of Sonic the human videos which are actually pretty funny because its meant to be a joke. Third It just looks like Sonic,Shadow etc were just thrown in using photoshop. So in my opinion this was pretty bad.
I bought Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) (aka Sonic 06) a while back and even though I like it, there's just other games I'll rather play instead.
The game is broken yes, but it doesn't mean that it's not fun to play it.
Heck, the soundtrack is a joy to listen to.
I have to agree, Sonic 06 really has potential to be good. I wish that SEGA makes a PC version with fixed bugs, glitches, etc. I have to admit that I like the storyline, I know it’s a bit complicated but it’s also kinda dynamic. And I think that Memphiles is a great villain
(come on, he actually managed to kill Sonic! Did you see Eggman or Metal Sonic do that?)
Of course, if SEGA ever makes a reboot of the game, I hope they’ll remove Elise from it, I don’t know – replace her with a female hedgehog created only for that game (like Tikal in SA) or even better,
make Amy revive Sonic, not Elise.
And make Elise appear only as a friend, it makes everything less... creepy.About the soundtrack, I belive most would agree that it is simply awesome. Theme songs are simply amazing.Thank you for reading this wall of text.
Googling "Sonic Adventure 3" just gave me a bunch of fan material and rumors that a new Sonic game would be announced either in February or on 3/3/13 (which it wasn't), and more rumors that its internal codename is supposedly "Sonic Adventure 3". And that IGN result appears to be someone's personal blog set up on the IGN site.
Just google "sonic adventure 3". You'll get lots of pages talking about it, even ign.
No, that's not providing a source. I could Google "Ocarina of Time 2" and find dozens of sites talking about it - that doesn't make it a real thing. When someone asks you to provide the source for a news story like this, you don't tell them to go find it themselves.
Now, let's try that again.
Please provide the location where you heard that Sonic Adventure 3 has been confirmed.
If SEGA is calling the project "Sonic Adventure 3", even though it not the official name, I'm calling it that way until it gets a new name. That's why I said that "Sonic Adventure 3" is coming.
If Sonic the Fighters was only 1 of the digital releases like the thing you linked to says then what could be the others? Sonic 3 is already on Xbox. Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 is already out. The only Sonic game i can think that it could be is Sonic 3D or Sonic R. Unless its not a re-release and a new digital Sonic game.

While there was the Deals of the Week on Xbox, I bought Sonic the Fighters for 160 MSP, I wanted it and it was pretty cheap. It was all right for a button masher.
As for me, I really hope there'll never be a Sonic Adventure 3 because the previous were mediocre enough as it is. Despite being mediocre, they did have their goodness:
SA1 = great music, fun Sonic stages, great gameplay
SA2 = very good graphics, fun Sonic stages, pretty good gameplay
It's kind of hard to believe, but to me it felt like SA1 was still better than SA2 regardless of how much content they put into the second.
I do loath the Sonic Adventure series, but I own the originals on Dreamcast and the digital remastered versions on Xbox:
These aren't all, I have a lot more but right now I just have these to show.
By the way, Sonic Colours is still brand new factory sealed. Still to play this amazing Modern Sonic game.

Where is Sonic calling their next project "Sonic Adventure 3"? SOURCE PLEASE.
And no, the one you gave is not a valid source. Nowhere on that page is the name "Sonic Adventure 3" mentioned. All it says, and this could well have changed since November, when the interview was published, is that something is coming. For all we know it was Sonic Dash.
If you want to call a mythical project that hasn't even been officially announced "Sonic Adventure 3", then by all means do so. But please - let us know that that's all it is up-front next time.
Where is Sonic calling their next project "Sonic Adventure 3"?.
Well maybe Sonic is calling the project Sonic Adventure 3 but i didnt see anywhere in that link saying that Sega called the project Sonic Adventure 3 (I'm only joking )
Well.....Sonic Lost world is going to be Nintendo exclusive...Gotta admit, a bit annoying for me since i most likely will only be able to play the 3DS version since i don't got a Wii U -_-.
After watching the trailer it looks pretty damn great. Its a shame its Nintendo exclusive but when I eventually get a Wii U it will most likely be one of the first games i get for it.
After Sonic Lost Worlds i would like to see a Sonic game with a bit more story, but i think maybe adapt a Sonic comic storyline into a Sonic game. I would like to see a game based on the recent Mecha Sally saga in the Sonic Comics.
Actually, if a game has a good plot, it keeps you interested for playing it longer, and that's what all developers want. What I want to say is that if a Sonic game is well made, but doesn't have an interesting plot, it will most probably be interesting only for the series' fans, who want to play because they like certain character(s). But if the story is good, it may attract new players. Take Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 as an example.
Again i just personally think that bringing Sonic back to the old story of ''Oh No pigs and chickens are being attacked like in the genesis days! go save them now!!!!'' is not the right direction. I have no problems with improving the gameplay but when I play a game its not just gameplay I look for, I look for a good story as well as good gameplay and i feel Sega has been doing nothing but downgrading the story since Sonic Colours. Look at Generations which could of had a better story with modern characters interacting with the classic characters but instead the story was toned down completely. Again if Sega are worried about messing up the story then ether do two things. Adapt one of the Archie storylines from the Sonic comics some suggestions being maybe the Mecha Sally arc that's going on right now, The Eggman victory saga, and the Iron Queen's takeover, The Genesis and maybe if they can get some kind of deal with Capcom, maybe the World's collide storyline with both Sonic and Mega Man.
Option 2 would be actually getting the writers of the Archie comics to come up with the story set in the Archie Sonic universe.
My point here is that its not like platformers have not been able to have great gameplay, story, graphics and music etc. Look at Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Sly Cooper, and Jak & Daxter.

Exactly my point. SEGA is obviously afraid of making anothes Sonic 06 (aren't we all?) where they obviously concentrated mostly on the storyline than gameplay, and now while they focus on making a good gameplay, the plot suffers.
The story in 06 sucked ass as well as the gameplay.
But you can still see that they were more concentrated on the story than the gameplay, considering the fact that the story was far too complicated for a Sonic game.

and the worst thing about it is that we all know Sonic stories can be done well and with a lot of characters because look at the Archie comics. I think every Sonic character is in it and they even add a lot more. They make people more better with Charmy being the example. I think Archie could make the story as good as the comics.

True. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the events of SA2 also present in the comics? (I saw it on Sonic X but there are no comics in my country) And now SA2 is one of the most popular Sonic games. Why can't SEGA just learn on their past actions?

I think so, all games were adapted as comics and if i remember i think SA 1 & 2 got their own story arcs. I'm not sure though.
Sonic '06 failed because the game was rushed out for the 20th anniversary, resulting in a glitchy mess. The story was atrocious, yes, but if the gameplay had been solid it wouldn't have been quite so badly received. Maybe.
I welcome simpler stories, because I don't give a flying foosball about the story in most Sonic games. The plots are clichéd and stupid, the voicework in the cutscenes rarely reaches 'OK' levels and each game just kept (re)introducing characters we don't care about in lieu of actually doing something interesting with the ones we already have.
I'm not saying that every Sonic game has to have a practically non-existent story, but by focusing less on complex plots and extraneous characters to instead just having a more straightforward adventure, the game can appeal to far more people and be more 'pick up and play' friendly (I hesitate to say they'd be more 'casual' for obvious reasons). I think that's a good direction to go in given the series' track record and it seems to be working pretty well thus far.

I agree but only to an extent. While i enjoyed the story in some Sonic games (Sonic Adventure 1 & 2,Sonic Battle, and some others) I do not like the story in others. But i do enjoy most of the story arcs in the Archie comics because there is a big difference to the games. The comics could have some drama, the comics could be simple stories at one time and big arcs at others. The characters do go through character development and Archie just come up with good ideas for stories. That's why i hope Sega does begin making games in the Archie Sonic universe. The characters are less annoying and enjoyable. It has comic exclusive characters that are enjoyable such as Nicole,Sally,Bunnie and others and even makes other characters less annoying again Charmy Bee being my example.

You mean like Sonic Advance 1, 2 and 3 for Gameboy? Those were quite enjoyable.
I should find some the comics on the internet, I'd really want to read them.
If ya got a IPad or IPhone, there is an Archie Sonic app where you can get the comics. I believe for when Generations was coming, Archie put their game adaptions into 3 different collections for £2.49 each (I don't know how much that would be in dollars) The first collection is adaptions of Genesis to Dreamcast games. The Second collection is the Dreamcast stories which are Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 and Shuffle i think. Again SA 1 & 2 have story arcs collected in that. The last collection is Shadow the Hedgehog to Sonic 4 Episode 2.

It took me like 3-4 minutes to get all achievements (400 GS).
In terms of replay value it's very small, unless played online or with someone locally.

Little surprised Ryan didn't post this, to be honest. It actually doesn't look bad at all. Honestly, the camera angles remind me of Sonic Xtreme.
It looks like the 3D Sonic I always wanted! Mixed with a Retro game!
