Spoilers are bad enough. The situation is ridiculous, and it's only getting worse. Why have rules if you're not going to enforce them? There are spoilers for every episode, including the one that hasn't even been released yet.
You mention more than spoilers so exactly what else? There are not many mods on this forum so you have to understand that they can't handle every single thread made on this forum. How can they get a break? If they try to do something or have to bring out the ban hammer, they get complaints and more crap. If they let people off with a warning they get the old ''You guys are not doing your jobs!''. Even then, you have to be careful on a forum for spoilers. Either that or wait until you've played the episode before going to the forums. This has been a major problem since TWD Season 1 and the mods have tried to deal with it best they can, especially with limited mod tools and not many mods on the TTG forum.
Well, most members are good at labeling their own spoilers.
Again, we (and Telltale themselves as well) encourage people to discuss the story after each episode. That goes back to what I said earlier about how we only focus on spoilers for the latest episode and not the whole season.
Yeah, people are discussing episode achievements, but we aren't going to stop them. They give their own spoiler warnings, and even if they don't, then we usually try to edit the title (again, only if it is spoilers from the recent episode).

If this were a new problem, then you might be right. But it's not. The spoiler problem was brought to the mod's attention even before Season Two came out. They expressed no interest in upholding the rules and stopping Season One spoilers. The most they said was that they'd crack down on Season Two spoilers. It hasn't happened, and I warned them that would be the case when they weren't willing to start cracking down before the first episode was released. I've said this before, but it's not so hard to avoid putting spoilers in your topic titles, nor is it hard to tag your spoilers. Few people do. Look at the section now. Even the few threads that don't have blatant spoilers in their titles have the spoilers in the post itself, not even bothering to use any tags.
There's also the spam posts, but I'm far more concerned with the spoiler issue. I'd like to discuss too, yet I cannot do so with the way things are. I can't support topics that have blatant spoilers, and I don't feel safe clicking on anything or even scrolling down. I had both of the current episodes of Season Two spoiled for me through topic titles alone, and I'm sick of these entitled people laughing it off and saying I should have stayed off the forums.
Again, we are only concerned about spoilers for new episodes.
Anything from previous episodes/seasons is fair game. Telltale themselves have said numerous times in interviews/articles/etc that they like people using the forums to discuss cliff hangers, character development, choices, etc in between episodes. They can't discuss Episode 203 speculation if they have to dance around spoilers for Episode 101 because somebody has not played Season 1 on Vita or some other platform.
(Before you target what I said about Vita, we aren't discriminating against consoles that have not yet caught up with the main platforms. As I've told you before, I am a Vita fan myself and certainly don't aim to discriminate.)

By the stage Season 2 was coming, Season 1 was already out for at least 6 months or more. Most people looking at TWD forums would most likely have played the full game so why would the mods need to crack down extremely on spoilers after 6 months. No offence but if you are going into a forum that is based on a game that's been out for at least 3 or 4 months then you have to expect spoilers. Mods can not be expected to go back and change every spoiler from games already months old and most likely most people discussing it would have played it.
1. Being able delete your own threads or your own comments
2. Not sure think the flagging system is broken so fix that be cool
3. Every month change the background just to freshen things up instead of the same background whole time
4. Being able to copy and paste pictures would be massive a improvement and there is a demand for
5. Think Telltale should give Mods the power to IP ban or picture filtering system
6. Maybe sounds crazy but if a thread or comment gets over 20 dislikes it's instantly deleted helping delete spam and graphic threads/comments when the mods are not around
Overall think forum is great and the mod are doing great job but maybe look into them points
I don't want to get into this. To put it simply, it doesn't matter. The Vita had only gotten Season One shortly before this, and there were still some consoles awaiting its release.
The forum can be used to discuss all those things, but there's no reason to allow blatant spoilers in topic titles or for spoilers to not be marked or tagged. There was even a special spoiler section at one point, where spoilers could be posted without caution. Many people chose to ignore it.
This forum is meant for EVERYONE to enjoy. It's not fair that people like the Vita players have to constantly stay away.
"There was even a special spoiler section at one point, where spoilers could be posted without caution. Many people chose to ignore it."
Actually, Telltale made the choice to purposefully shut down that section on their own because they wanted people to discuss the story in the main forums using the spoiler features that the new forums introduced.
Season 1 Vita is still not a good example. It has been out for a few months and the full season was available. Part of the fun of the forum is discussing new episodes and you can't expect mods to sit and go through old episodes that's been out for months. If you are going to complain that spoilers are in the forum then don't visit it until you have played the episodes especially Season 1 which has been out for at least a year or Season 2 which started about 5 or 6 months ago. Especially considering Mods have better things to handle such as spambots, trolls and other things rather than go back fixing spoilers for episodes most people have already played.
Except that essentially no one uses said features, and the mods do nothing to punish those who do.
The Vita game is a perfect example. A few months is hardly enough time to justify ignoring a forum's rules and recklessly spoiling the game. I very well CAN expect mods to do just that-they're MODS. That's part of what they are supposed to do. This forum is supposed to be for everyone, and its rules should be upheld. Why should some people have to avoid the forum and abandon their topics when they're behind? Like I said, I don't want to turn this into an argument about spoilers, but it IS an issue that needs to be dealt with.

The Mods are voluntary working for free just for the love of the forum they owe us nothing you should be happy there's Mods at all. I'm Vita gamer and get spoiled too but I'm realistic come to this forum going to get spoiled mods are doing their best. You have a point but that's the way it is going have to accept the mods are not perfect

A few months is enough time to play through the entire game if you wanted too. Again they shouldn't be going to a forum which discussions mainly consist of discussing a episode's twists or talking about characters in the game if they have not played the game at all. That's just common sense to not go to forums that will be talking about a game you have not played for yourself yet.
Agree but could just use 6 for a short period to see if it works and if trolls take advantage don't use it but 20 thumbs or 25 seems safe but I agree but then again never know might work
They DO owe us something. They're MODS. Do you not get that? It doesn't matter if they're paid are not. They chose to take on this responsibility, so they have to do their jobs.
Can you stop this now? A few months is not enough time. Maybe some people didn't have the time to play it right away. Maybe they couldn't afford it right away. Maybe they didn't even know it existed. This forum has rules that forbid such spoiling, so don't you dare try that whole thing about people who haven't beaten it staying away. That entitled attitude is exactly why this problem exists. This forum is for everyone to enjoy. We should all be able to discuss whatever episode we've just beaten or ask for help or report a glitch, without fear of getting spoiled. People who can't respect that should be the ones to go, since they are the ones breaking the rules.
Firstly They don't owe anyone anything. They took on the job to try make the forums a better place or would you rather have spambots and trolls taking the whole forum?
Then again If they didn't play it then why go to the damn forum in the first place?! You wouldn't know the story, or the characters or anything. It's common sense not to go to the forums if you don't want to get spoiled.
How about like it was in the YouTube of yore, where a message popped up if a comment had a lot of downvotes and asked if you wished to click to show or ignore it altogether. It would be like the current spoiler tags, but coded to show when a post has received a determinate number of downvotes.
I guess it'd be up to the Foru-Community not to abuse this feature, either.
Again, yes, they do. If people volunteer and don't get paid to be cops, do they not still owe us protection and safety? We already have spambots and trolls all over, but the spoilers are a far more offensive issue.
Are you even reading my posts? I just listed several reasons. First, you can see posts in the TWD section even from the main part of the forum. Second, maybe someone wants to discuss an episode they just beat while the impact is still fresh. Maybe they want to report an issue, get help, or ask a question. Maybe they want information. Maybe they have topics from Season One they want to stay up on or want to keep up on info from Season Two.

Then why not just move the screen down to general chat instead of reading what topics are in TWD?
2.''Want to discuss a episode while the impact is fresh''
For that to work then It would mean they would have at least beat any of the other episodes. I'm not going to randomly decide to play TWD episode 3 without playing Episodes 1 or 2. So this problem shouldn't exist.
3.Maybe they want to report a issue or get help''
There is several ways such as a support forum and a support email completely separate from the other topics. If they go onto a hint thread in TWD that means they must be playing the game. They should probably ignore anything that doesn't relate to the help they need in that episode
4.''Maybe they want information''
Then check TTG's blog or another game website that reports news on TWD and other TTG games. In the forum, It will mainly be discussing the game itself.
5.''Maybe they want topics they want to keep up on from Season 1 and Info on Season 2''
That doesn't make sense. If there is topics they want to keep up on from Season 1, then they must have played Season 1! As for Season 2, once again, info on Season 2 is always on TTG's blog or other gaming websites like IGN.
TheDuck, I feel like we've had this conversation before. You obviously aren't going to budge on your stance.
I'm sorry that spoilers bother you, but that does not negate that the forums are for discussion of the story. We gave you a compromise with the spoiler free chat thread, and that never really took off - indicating you are in the minority. There are other sources, such as the support forums or the blog/Facebook/Twitter where you can get news/help/etc.
No one is in trouble, but I'm going to ask that we just drop the conversation about spoilers as it is unless TheDuck any more feedback besides "do your jobs Mods" or "eliminate all spoilers."

1. From the main section of the TTG forums, you can see all topic titles for each game's board.
2. Seriously? What are you even saying? If I've just beaten Episode 1 and want to talk about it, of course I don't want to see spoilers from anything further.
3. The emails are largely ignored, and you have to go through the forum to get to the support section. And a lot of people wouldn't even know that, so they'd start searching the forums for help.
4. Again, what are you saying? I came here for Season Two info at one point, and I certainly did not want to see Season Two spoilers. I feel like you're just messing with me.
This is insane. Why does this forum even have rules if they're not upheld? I'm sick of people telling me I'm in the minority. It doesn't matter. TTG made it clear they want this forum to be for EVERYONE to discuss. Why should certain people not have the right to be here? If the Vita players get Episode 3 later than everyone else, then we all have to leave our topics and friends because heaven forbid people have to follow the rules and show some consideration? And I was NEVER for that topic. That was downright offensive. First off, a spoiler-free chat thread was pointless, since it was surrounded by topics with spoilers in the titles. Second, such a generic topic could never be a success or anything other than a convoluted mess. And most importantly, how on earth is it fair to tell Vita players we have to restrict all our TWD discussion to one thread, while everyone else gets the whole rest of the forum?
It's bad enough TTG itself treats Vita players so horribly, but it should not carry over to the forums. There is no reason someone can't keep spoilers out of their topic title. And there's no reason someone can't put a *SPOILERS* warning or use the tags in the topic itself. These are easy things to do, and the whole reason the tags were created is for this. Instead, we Vita players are bashed and chased away, even by the mods, who do nothing to stop this.
The garbage they posted today was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Judging by the fact that you seem bewildered as to why such drastic measures were taken, I'm going to presume you are blissfully ignorant of what was posted today - and no, it wasn't your typical troll attack.
Maybe today they reached the limit, I heard it was pretty bad, and this hurts Telltale in the long run. Imagine how a new user must feel when faced with stuff like that. It's good to hear that the site and mod functions may be getting a much needed and overdue overhaul.
1.No you can simply move the page down to General Chat fast instead of sitting reading through the topics.
2.Yes but If people are talking about Episode 2 or 3 then Episode 1 is not fresh anymore. It works the same way as a comic. If I read issue 1 of a comic while issue 3 is already out, then barely anyone will be talking about issue 1.
3.That's completely wrong. Look up the top where the tabs for games and community are. Click Support and It takes you right to the support thread.
4.Then that means Episode 1 was out. Both me and Blind Sniper told you different ways to get info. The blog, Facebook, Twitter, Gaming websites.
I'm beginning to wonder if you are reading my posts. I gave you reasons for every one of your points and you still repeat the same thing despite both me and Blind Sniper telling you how to get info for example.
Once again, no one reads my posts.

Excuse me? You're threatening me now? This is just insane. The forums are NOT just for discussing the current episode, and that's the words of TTG themselves. I'm going to spam them with emails until I get a response. Because this I will NOT tolerate. When a mod steps over the line and actually threatens a user, demanding they accept being treated unfairly when all they are asking is that the rules be followed... Just no.
A warning is much different than a threat. It's proper of moderators to give warnings to people when they do something wrong so they know not to step out of line too much.
stop feeding the tro-...I mean The duck, guys. He's so obvious it's not even funny.
aside from that, however, I have to express my disappointment with TTG and their forum yet again. Like I thought, my wall of text full of things not working on this forum was most likely not even read even once by anyone in charge. Even though people seemed to strongly approve of it. This just shows me that Telltale, like any other publisher, does not really care about suggestions and that I only wasted my time addressing them.
To top it all of, not only does the site in itself not work like it was intended, now we also lost the ability to format our texts, post pics or embed vids with no explanation whatsoever. It feels like a slap to the face to see no improvements on this site being done, yet we lose some of the very few features that actually WORKED...(more or less at least)

It's as if Telltale isn't even trying...
The pictures were disabled because of the trolls (if you weren't here when it happened, believe me consider yourself lucky, all of the things they posted were not just immoral, but illegal in most countries). The HTML and markup text formatting was also disabled to prevent trolls from finding a workaround to post those pictures.
Once the forum is upgraded so that we can finally handle these trolls quickly, all of these functions will be restored. Believe me, this is the best solution until the upgrade comes. You don't want to see that garbage. I regret having to see it in the dozen or so attacks that I had to clean up before these drastic measures were taken.

That's where your problem lies.
Again, the forums are mainly for discussing the current episode. I'm sorry this bothers you, but people who want to discuss episodes while lagging behind are in the minority - regardless if they can help it or not.
Just let this drop TheDuck. I've already asked you nicely, and now it's a warning.
Okay, so now we're dropping this and moving on.
aside from that, however, I have to express my disappointment with TTG and their forum yet again.
Me and the others have been chilling there without any troll and other site issues.
