I believe overkill is the best choice even if it is drastic. We need to rebel against the trolls!
I also have an idea where Telltale could somehow change the image and video/link system where if it has pornographic content, it will block it up. Block bad stuff= No Rule 34

I totally agree. I come to this community so I can DISCUSS TELLTALE GAMES because I honestly think these are the best story telling games around. What these trolls are doing is disgusting. We have an amazing community and ALL we want to do is talk about the games Telltale produces! I also live in Canada where child pornography is illegal and I don't want to risk getting arrested for unintentional viewing of such imagery. I am somewhat paranoid every time I see threads like "Trolls have returned" or "MODS GET HERE QUICKLY" or whatever because I DO NOT want to see that sort of thing.

IP ban mandatory
These shitty trolls have gone too far. If there's a better solution than this, so be it.
This must be Telltale's vision for the community. No polls or meme threads, just trolls and Clem porn.

I saw BigBangBoom's message before you deleted it and noticed that he just joined today to post it, i hate accusing people who could be innocent but we might need to watch his account as it seems weird that he posted that just after another invasion.
Is video game child porn considered child pornography? If so then in my country these people would probably be tracked down and labelled as Sex offenders and may serve some time in jail. Seriously this stuff is disgusting and I can't see why people do that kind of stuff. So I agree. Telltale please give mods IP bans!!!
IP bans are a decent idea but they won't really work. Trolls can just use alternatives.... I think one strategy would be to just not give these weirdos any attention when they show up. Whenever it happens people freak out and keep bumping the trolling threads and no doubt the troll seeks this reaction. Just flag the posts and they'll be taken down soon enough.

As we all know troll attacks have been getting worse as of late. Trolls have been more aggressive in their attacks, going so far as to post child pornography. If you look at The Walking Dead forum, you'd get the idea. This place is supposed to be a clean place for people, and in some countries child pornography is a crime! For example, Canada, where I live. Trolls are not only insulting and ruining the community, but also risking people's lives by increasing the chance of getting arrested for unintentionally viewing such distasteful images.
Yes, mods has the ability to ban user accounts. But that does not stop trolls from coming back with new accounts and posting the same crap. I believe and a majority of the community would rather have IP bans now, after latest events. I'm seriously considering of not being here as much, perhaps never again, after the crap I've seen. Also I believe we need moderators who live in different time zones so we have at least 1 mod around all day long, per se. Please Telltale Games, give moderators the ability to IP ban!
Please help this community in keeping this place safe!

I know exactly what you mean Rafoli want me as MOD and I accept and do it for free I'm cool like that
RULES TO BE IMPLEMENTED AS MARKD AS MOD
I will be referred to as EVIL OVERLORD not mod as all telltale staff, users and mods answer to me
Anyone who downthumbs my threads or comments even questions my opinion will get a instant ban
All Thread and comments will be verified by me before their posted to remove negative posts about my leadership or trolls
All my threads will be sticky to the top all other threads will be sent to general chat
I will award title super members to users who are seen speaking positively about my reign or ratting out trouble makers they will be able to delete comments and thumb their own comments
All episodes released by telltale under 2 hours will be deemed unfit for release but will allow addition of the needed half an hour to be Hub areas or minigames within the episode
"Suggestion for improvements" thread will be changed to "Favorite things about the forum" to avoid any negative feedback
Threads which are designed just to moan about something with no TWD question instant ban
Users who comment on a thread without answering the question or questioning the grammar instant ban
Voting for favorite users thread will be redone all users who fail to vote for me as NO.1 instant ban
The IP ban is an good idea in theory but in reality it wont work. There are many methods to getting round them.
I think what should be done is people need to ignore these scumbags and stop freaking out so much when they post and simply flag them and get them removed, they do this for attention and if people dont give it to them they'll stop soon enough
You know...I am an active user of these forums since December 2013. At first I kind of liked the forum system because it was something new and it was easier to reply to previous posts without the need to quote the person, but after a while, I realized that I actually came to loathe it. Why? Because it creates more trouble than it actually saves you from. Take a look at the "Community Appreciation Thread" (basically nothing else but a smalltalk forum for all users who know how to find it). It has multiple pages of discussion, many of them longer than the equator itself. You need to scroll for minutes if you are scanning the page for a specific discussion only to realize it wasn't on THAT page, so you go to the next one and start again.
It also infuriates me how the last page actually always is "half a page" because it always loads the half of the previous one to "become" a full page. What if I told you that I don't need the previous half anymore when I change the page? I already read it. That's as if I would change a page in a book and the previous half would repeat again...why do it that way?
The worst thing about all this is that it becomes incredible tiresome to find new posts in those discussions. Try to find new posts in one of these endless pages, especially when they reply to an older topic. It becomes impossible. Sure, there is that "scroll to new comment" feature, but that thing ends up being useless, because comments you have already read still count as "new" for, like, forever. I would have to click my way through dozens of already read "new" comments to find the real "new" one. And guess what? Most of the time, I just don't find it no matter what I do. I am not sure if I accidentally skip the new post while skimming through the fakes, but most of the time, I just end up giving up because the post most likely isn't worth the trouble looking for it.
The discussion also always jumps on weird pages when you open them. My guess is that it tries to guide you to the new post and thus starts you off at the right page, but if it does that, can't it already jump to the new post instead of merely pointing me into the right direction?
These nested discussions also become very confusing once everything ends up in that "grey area of doom" in which it becomes hard to tell who replied to what. Especially if more than two people are talking to each other. When that happens, it clearly defeats the sole purpose of this system.
Lastly, the spoiler tag and "hide thread" button really should remember you already clicked on them the next time you click on this discussion. It's annoying to always have to "despoiler" a thread in order to reply to it, even though you already know the thread's contents. Same goes for the hide thread button, because it would help A LOT if you could hide unimportant (and long) discussions so that you don't have to scroll trhough them all the time. But it just doesn't do that and thus becomes rather useless. Why should I go through the trouble to hide all threads I don't wanna read when I will have to do it again once I return?
I really praise Telltale for trying a different way, but it just doesn't work. They should either improve it or switch back to a classic style forum. I would rather quote someone and post at the end of the thread if it means I can find and reply to new posts easily (because I will know where to look for them at least)

You know what would be awesome? If enough people flag a thread, it gets hidden from the rest of the community until a mod gets a chance to look at it.
came here to say this and saw notablyunstable had already got in first. Maybe if say 20-30 flag a thread it's automatically sunk(but not deleted) until a moderator can check it.........
Only problem that could arise is people just flagging to troll (hence the high 20-30 mark).
You can upvote/downvote a post, but you can't undo upvoting/downvoting a post. Downvotes can be changed to upvotes, and vice versa, but a vote can't be gotten rid of. What if somebody edits their post and you no longer agree, yet don't want to downvote them to undo upvoting them? It would be cool if clicking the upvote/downvote button a second time undid the vote, so it was as if you hadn't voted on the post to begin with.
I'm unsure if it's possible, but there doesn't seem to be any way to delete your own posts. I can see how posts that have been quoted might be beyond deleting, but it would be nice if there were an option to delete things you've posted.
Every thread I visit gets added to the Followed Discussions list. It's not a big deal, but it means I frequently have to clear them from the queue so I don't get notifications for everything. What's the point of the follow button if every thread you visit gets added to the list of threads you're following, anyways? It's possible I have some setting a certain way, but I tried to check under settings and there was only avatar/password stuff.
EDIT: So, how exactly is the PM system supposed to work? I.. don't think it works at all. Either that or I can't figure it out.

Can someone from the Telltale web team please just respond with something so that we know you're at least looking at this thread?
Look, fixes take time. I get that. And you guys probably have a lot on your plate right now. But just say something so we know we're not just talking to ourselves. Even if it's just "We're discussing what to do about the problems raised. We appreciate all of your input and we thank you for your patience in helping to improve the forum." I'll take that. Just let us know you're listening, even if you have no concrete plans about what to do.
Fuck it. This is my last post in this thread. I'm done hoping against hope that this place would improve. Anyone who wants to discuss Telltale games on a site that's actually functional, feel free to join me and many other users from this site here.

While I agree the forum system is not good, give the mods a break. Most have left and there is barely any left. I know I have not been here that much lately but still I'm sure Vain,Jen, and Blind Sniper and the other mods have been doing a good job taking care of spambots and that kinda of thing. Being a mod is not a easy task for them especially when they have already said several times that they don't have many mod tools to work with.
Just a thought, but that forum might be a lot more appealing if the background image wasn't such a huge Season Two spoiler.
This foru… morem is just awful. The format is dreadful, people post spoilers in plain sight, and the mods don't do their jobs.

do it telltale
I heard THOSE pictures happened again last night was it true? if so I say ban the IP address they won't stop till you do
Hmm, I'll keep tabs on that. Thanks.
I say Blind Sniper should have the ability to ban the ip's atleast. he seems like a cool guy and knows what he's doing

Moderators on message boards are basically people who can edit/close/move threads, enforce rules, ban users, etc.

If so, than that's because we try to focus only on spoilers for the latest episode as opposed to the whole series.
If you mean anything else beyond spoilers, than I'm curious as to what you mean.
