Hey, since this is the how to improve the forums thread and since I'm here and thinking about it, we could use the ability to quickly and easily delete your account.
If you mean troll's accounts, the moderator team will be getting something along those lines when the upgrade comes.
If you mean your own account, I'm not sure why you'd want to do that. It would probably be too dangerous to have that as an option for regular users, just in case someone who isn't the owner of the account but has access to it (for example a friend, family member, or room mate, or if someone leaves their account active on a public computer) decides to delete the account for whatever reason.

I refer to your own account. it would be if you accidentally made multiple accounts or if you simply no longer wish to participate in the forum. also, if you give your friend, family member, or roommate access to it then it's on you that they deleted it. what I'm thinking of is along the lines of a "delete your account" button, which once pressed would prompt you for your password, and then a bubble would come up that would say "are you sure you want to delete your account forever?" and if you click yes, then it gets deleted.

Until flagging is fixed, how about a sticky thread people can go to let the mods know when there's a boombox cheetos type flamer/troll harassing the forums? "For emergencies only!" so it's not filled with a bunch of people talking about god knows what that has nothing to do with these types of situations.
I proposed a similar idea before, but the other mods and I reached the conclusion that nobody would take it very seriously and people would just use it to argue.

We just decided to wait until PMs are fixed.
Yes, temp bans are supported. It was more that we just didn't want the thread to derail itself into drama and accusations of other (actual) users being alternate accounts of trolls.

If you really want to delete your account, you could mail support@telltalegames.com and they'd probably handle that for you (I believe they'd have to do it through the site's SQL database, but it should be doable).
I personally think the potential misuse of having such a button (such as if your account ever got hacked for instance) would far outweigh the advantages for having such a permanent button available as a standard function on the forum.

Jen do you have any idea when the users can post memes and gifs again how long is the expected delay until we can post fully again I agree with the decision after hearing what happened but just wondering please

Can you go ahead and ban the people that engage the obvious trolls too? I look at TWD forum and it's nothing but people talking to boombox cheetos again and I just want to hara-kiri.

I'm not sure of an exact time frame, but I know that giving moderators the ability to properly take care of trolls is the number one priority of the web team, and when that's implemented the missing features will be restored. Hopefully it won't be too long.

How is a two hour ban for people feeding the trolls going to make anything any worse? Maybe you have a better way to get everyone to just ignore them? I'm honestly hopeful you do.
Trollfeeding, eh. I would love to see the "OMG DONT ENTER THE FORUMS, THERE ARE TROLLS!"/"WHERE ARE THE MODS!!!" Threadstarters go, because they are more annoying than the actual trolls, but everything else? For example, I actually enjoy that Boombox fella. Sure, he has issues, but at least he is somewhat entertaining. I wouldn't ban people for talking to him, though I can understand that he will have to get banned regardless.
I would say only ban really stupid troll feeders, not ones who only do it for entertainment.

What would you label "really stupid troll feeders"? People who freak out because they don't like what they see and/or don't know any better than to react the way they do? It can get annoying, sure, but banning them would be just as unfair as banning someone for interacting with a troll in a "harmless" way for entertaining.
Should the "don't feed the trolls" policy be really going to be enforced with bans, I'm of the mind that they should be given in both cases, and for a couple of hours at most, as said by @PuhChewyChomp.

If the mods are going to ban both versions of troll feeders, then I am against a troll feeding ban. I will rather endure stupidity than to see good people get punished for minor "crimes". Even if it was for only a couple of hours.

In most cases, a warning is preferable to a ban. We give warnings before bans in most cases (except for extreme ones, such as those who seem to be breaking the rules for fun). We usually only ban people who are obvious trolls or those who repeatedly ignore warnings.
It'd be great if there was always at least one mod active. Because there's been an Azlyn hate thread going on for more than two hours now and a mod hasn't done anything.
Not that Azlyn or anyone appears to care that much about it, though. And why would she? A hate thread is pretty much an honor. It shows she is important enough to warrant her own thread, lol.

There should be a way to block users. Like if there's someone who's posts I just don't ever want to see because they're a douchebag, I can just click a button on their profile and all their comments will be hidden.
The forums are on a bit of a blackout (meaning no links/pictures/etc) for just a little bit longer due to some recent forum activity.
S… morepeaking of which, for those who have not already heard, our Mod Tools have been revamped in an update we should receive very soon.
I can easily foresee you guys getting images/links back shortly. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give out a tangible timeframe, but I promise it's genuinely sooner than later (and I'm not from Telltale so I can say "soon" and mean it :P ).
As a matter of fact, I spent a lot of time today and last night testing the new mod tools on another version of the forum and fixes are coming along great. When the next forum update hits, you guys probably won't notice a lot of changes on your end besides PMs working. However, on our end, we're getting a pretty massive upgrade to our tools.
We'll have the ability to merge threads, respond to flagged posts again, ban by IP, prevent certain types of content from being posted, and much more. Also, we will have the option to instantaneously hide all content a banned user has posted from your view. As an even stronger measure, newer users will have a time limit between posting and a captcha, which will hopefully hinder spambots and trolls.
The big hold up is basically that, after recent forum activity, we decided to disable image posting until the new tools arrived so we can dismantle trolling attacks much quicker. Moderators on the forums are volunteers who are recruited by Telltale and other current moderators, meaning that essentially, we have to wait from the official people over at Telltale to decide how to handle forum updates.
EDIT: As I mentioned previously, we should get the update fairly soon. As for the spoiler ordeal that happened today, I am looking into it over at the other forum where it originated.

I believe they are actually working on an update where they will have IP bans. However I heard it was possible to get around IP bans...
But I think it's because it's Telltale's website, and only they can implement them. The moderators are only volunteers, and I guess they can't do it without Telltale's permission or support or something.
Moderators just enforce the rules. Outside of suggestions for future features, we aren't the ones to implement new features. That is done by Telltale's web team.

Hi Guys,
can you put in a field in our profile where we can enter our birthday (you don't have to send us presents, but..) then when we are logged in and want to check out your games, we don't have to put those details in every time we click on a different game.
Can the thread activity and replies be separated? I would suggest a separate button for messages such as PMs and replies. They're all grouped up into the feed, so replies and such can be overlooked by the thread activity. It would make things more clean and organized to have to separated.
