Bioshock. You shoot things, inject yourself with needles, kill bad guys, kill little girls- DONE. I shoulda sold it when I had the chance.
Weird, that's my favorite game of all time. (for now, used to be Resident Evil 4) I would call it an adventure game because it was for me. The environments and atmosphere are the best in any game ever.
The hacking mini-games, & having to buy the ability to USE more power-ups was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too annoying. You know what else was bad-OKAMI! Yeah that's wright, I hate games that are highly regarded. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICES THE EXTREME REPITITION IN THIS GAME?! Fighting Orochi three straight times, monsters that have the exact same weaknesses, & the obvious ripping off of Legend of ZELDA! Mailman who runs around for hours & hours, glowing side-kick who is extreeeeeeeeeeeeemely annoying, joining together the power of a light spirit, & walking around doing pointless side-quests that when your finished with them you feel spiritually unfullfilled. Plus the Agata forest boss was a tooooooooooooootal rip-off of the fly-trap boss from Windwaker.
Did I say EVERY highly regarded game. No. And I'm not talking out of my ass here, I played Okami to the very end, in the beginning it was okay but after the sword boss it just got stupid. I mean the final boss was a ... no wait, someone might be playing this wright now. How do I do spoiler tags?

I've never actually played Okami, but I've heard nothing but praise for it.

...I thought it was a good rip-off...seriously, you can taunt your enemys by peeing on them...Good humor, original gameplay, and seriously,OLD MAN CLUB.
Sorry than, just lots of people have done that to me in the past & they were serious. Seriously. What's Old Man Club?
Remember when Amy was being attacked by a bunch of enemys, and there was the old man with the orange on his head nearby?Guess what happened next.3 guesses, first two don't count.
You mean the oldest man in the village who did the Konohama shuffle which made the big ol' tree come back to life wright? I don't remember that scene perse but I can say I think he said he might have said that Amy was like that of the silver wolf Shiranui.

When you first met him.Okami grabbed his head by the teeth and beat all of the enemy's to death with the OLD MAN CLUB.
Um, what?! Old man Club? Don't you mean the mirror that Amy started out with? You are really confusing me now. Ever play the GBA Spyro games, freakin terrible. Why did you leave us Insomniac! RATCHET & CLANK! COME ON!

You didn't use it, it was a scene.Look up okami old man club on you tube.
Hmm as for adventures i've bought so far two of my bigger dissapointments were The Longest Journey and Runaway. I've stopped playing both at some point. The Longest Journey was one of the most boring games i've came around and contrary to the Runaway's almost perfect trailer the game sadly just wasn't good.
Hmmm, i'd go with Black and White. Unskippable cutscenes... yep. And those sodding singing men with their bloody ark! OOOO I wanted to KILL THEM ALL... and did.... several times.
It could have been a great game, but the unskippable cutscenes ruined it for me.
Beyond that, oooo i'm not sure. I've played so many games, they all start to merge.
FF7 was pretty dull (yes I know i'll be flamed for saying it). I hated the controls, hated that the tutorial for how to do combat showed up AFTER you'd worked it out yourself and I plot just didn't grab me. I didn't get far before just giving up, the combat was too frequent and too repetative (like in Pokemon, walk two steps, combat, walk two steps, combat) it started to make me angry.
Loom is one of my favorite games actually, I think it's beautiful.
Oh, I thought of another one! Sim LIFE! what the heck? All that happens is that cows mutate to be carniverous and little pixels meander about and say "ooo la la" (i'm not kidding, they DO!) and well... you don't seem to have much control over anything. I just couldn't see the point of that game, I got bored. I like sim games as well, loved Simant, love the sims and sims2 and I really really loved Creatures (now that, that was a wonderful game) but Simlife? pointless.
The southpark game was almost on the ET level of bad... oh man.
Here's another game I've struggled to play through: Runaway! *shudders*
I'm sure some of you have played it.
I went to Target today and I saw the sequel in the "sale area" for $10. Mwahahaha!! Even Target knows it's bad!
I enjoyed Runaway, actually. It was a gem in the desert of adventure games at the time. The sequel was unnecessary, but the first wasn't bad. Not great, but enjoyable.
I also think Okami was wonderful. Its strength is based as much on its visual style as anything. Of course its gameplay is similar to other games, though. As they say, every story has already been written--the key is to write them in a new way. Same with games.
I really hated Sonic the Hedgehog for PS3(yes, I actually own a PS3:D.) The camera was horrible, There was tons of Plotholes, And crazy glitches galore. And the story was probably made by a bunch of fangirls so Sega could spend money on the graphical engine of Sonic Unleashed.

Yeah, remember the horrifying "elise" parts? But the game is actually kinda addicting for the wrong reason.I gotta find all the glitches, I swear.

Yeah I do agree it was made in an adventure game drought so it was nice to play a new game. However, I'm a bit of a feminist and I think the whole Gina character bothered me.
You know what wasn't bad- SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE. Everyone gave it a bad rap because they couldn't deal with reloading their water suply over & over again. Yet when they need to constantly reload their guns in Halo, they say nothing.

Same thing in Battlefield: Bad Company you have to try to find a reload box to refill on ammo and theres ony like 3 in each level.
Not saying Bad Company is a bad game its pretty cool.
I usually try to avoid games that I know in advance I'll hate. Two adventure games that I didn't like:
- Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy towards the end, when it gets utterly ridiculous (even though it started out great!)
- Dreamfall (The Longest Journey II).
Both games suffer from extremely lame story lines and a lack of player control (really important in an adventure game, i.m.o.)
I thought I wouldn't like Indigo Prophecy, but I found it on Xbox originals and downloaded it. It may not be my favorite adventure game, but the gameplay was pretty brilliant compared to most adventure games point and clicks.
Let's see... worst games I've ever played... it's hard to remember them, seeing as how I try to push things I hate out of my memory to make room for more savory goodness.
I tried playing SimEarth a long while back. I could barely make heads or tails of it. It turned out to be incredibly dull.
Ascendancy (for PC) was another bad one. The premise was a good idea... the AI just totally sucked. It was nearly impossible to lose the game unless you were TRYING to. If the AI had been better (and half of the starship modules weren't useless) then the game would be a lot more fun.
Albion (for PC). What little I played was great. The part that made it suck was the fact that it would ALWAYS freeze early in the story. Always at the same spot, too. I never got past this issue.
Aedis Eclipse (for PSP). The game had some fun mechanics and all, but the plot and voice acting made me feel like I was watching a poorly-dubbed anime, with a poorly-made plot.
The Tick (for SNES). As much as I adore The Tick and his overdramatic heroism, the game was a total flop to me. It was your basic sidescroller. Beat up some guys, move over 1 screen. Didn't contain any of the delicious Tick-style humor or dialogue. In fact, I don't think it contained ANY dialogue.
Command & Conquer Generals (for PC). This, to me, was a violation of everything I'd come to love about the C&C series. No construction yard, resource harvesting was basically collecting crates of cash left lying about, no briefing cinematics, no major characters to speak of... it just left me feeling like it was StarCraftian, and that is not a compliment in any way, shape, or form (I hate StarCraft).
I could probably go on and on, if I really sat down to think about all this, but I'll stop here.
Any of those war games I used tp playas a kid at my cousins, I just generally hate those gaes, and shooting ones. Completely dull to me. I don't like racing games either, well except for Mirco Machines, that was fun, jumping over toasters and the like.
Have you not played Galaxy! That game was the best game since Mario 64! But I have to say the worst games I have ever played are, The simpsons(Stupid camera! Also fairly repetitive combat)and Spider-man 3 on Wii. Horrible, glitchy broken game. Also I hated Ratchet Gladiator. Ugh, thinking about it makes my blood boil. Also Okami is a brilliant game. Loved it:):)
Yeah, galaxy was excellent. But it occasionally swapped from medium difficulty to hard as hell. Speed run topman on the dreadnought, secret star on the dreadnought, Bowser at the end, etc.

The difficult ones were really only for completionists.
But even so...

I guess you don't play too many RPG games.

Hey, so do I. I have all three consoles, and so far the PS3 is my favorite.
I think I've avoided any Sonic games after the first one. One was enough for me.

Dude it was voted best game of 2007 or something but its your opinion.
Anyway its E.T.
Word.
could be the best mario game...
